Wow, with hamstrings being the slowest area on my body to respond to daily practice, how is it I have never done this sequence before? Simply lovely. The hamstrings feel less tight, and I even found a use for the long, red pizza box ribbons they use here. Not just for saving and bundling items up! Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. Found some emotional release as well. Makes sense as I have hurt these hamstrings in the past rushing about stressed.
I definitely have to work this one in at least once a week. I can sense the hamstrings will benefit greatly.

I love this excercise as I have weak hammies. As I have a terrible memory and am so Bob on computers I went to the poundshop and bought one of those spiral notebooks with coloured dividers in. Now I can look in it and see if I want a gentle excercise, work on my abs, a tough work out or as in my book the sweaty section etc., etc. makes it easy to find the one I want to do that day. I also put how long the excercise is and also what benefits and thoughts I had on it at the time. I also make a point of looking through your videos and try new ones but just some days I think "well not feeling 100% so what can I do that I know will benefit me?" So I can just open my book and go to the relevant section and off I go. 😀

AMAZING!!! This was an incredible stretch for my hamstrings. The last one I couldn't find my block or a book so I just used a sturdy cardboard box and the shake I had while holding and resisting was insane. I did not expect that at all with just a stretch, but it felt great. I have right hip issues and this felt wonderful for that area too. I will definitely be coming back to this video for targeting that area. Thank you as always Adriene!

This is a follow on from yesterday’s Runners Yoga and excellent for the runners in my family who can all benefit, one in particular who recently had hamstring trouble. He will thank you for that Adriene ! After this practice I can really feel the effect and just know it will improve my downward dog. See you tomorrow for Heart Chakra, with love, 🧘🏼‍♀️🤗👍🏻💞namaste 🙏

I revisited this particular yoga exercise once again, this time for recovery. You see I run (really it's just a jog for I am not fast at all) and my DNA doesn't really support this activity. My left hamstring has been mildly complaining for a couple of weeks. When is starts yelling at me I usually slow my pace even to a walk if I have to. Well I decided to do sprints yesterday. My first sprint was slow, the next sprint I sped it up... feeling pretty good I kept at it. On the fifth sprint I decided to slow it down a little and lengthen my stride to stretch my hamstrings. Thanks to Adriene, I have checklists for all my exercises. :) Well as my left leg reached out midway through this cycle, my leg buckled and I went tumbling on the roadway. Ugh... this is like my 6th or 7th fall in my running life. My right knee is scraped up and my right wrist is a little sore. As to the hamstring, I think the injury is actually in the gluteus maximus...maybe it where the hamstring connects or joins the gluteus maximus at the sit-bones (Hey Adriene! :)
This yoga exercise was for me today awesome today. I couldn't stretch my left leg as far as my right and I certainly gave total respect to my injury, I certainly didn't want to worsen it's condition.I actually feel better afterwards. Now onto the wrist exercise. Be careful out there people. Much love to all.

This felt especially good today. Wow, my hamstrings are really, really tight. I only recently realized just how tight. I've done this video many times before but, today, there was new awareness. Good awareness. I'm going to try to do this one, at least, once a week in the new year. Along with my other daily sequences. Happy New Year, YogaWithAdriene family!

Ahhhhh...since having meniscus surgery in August, in large part because of a kickbutt PT, I FINALLY got it into my head that stretching matters. But the same old stretches get old, yes? Let's see what Adriene has on tap for me, I say, and sure enough, yet again, you've tailored a video just for me. Thanks as always for offering up videos that are fun, safe, and anything but pretentious.

Ooh yes Adriene, I’m thinking this is for all those cyclists and runners in my family ( just achieved greatness in the Edinburgh Marathon 👍🏻) and for me too. This senior yogi doesn’t think much about hamstrings and this was proved by all my shaking and wobbling in my practice but it was fun and afterwards my legs can still feel their workout. Soooo good, must repeat ! See you tomorrow on the mat, nearing the end of OPEN ! 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🙏💞

As I near the end of the 30-Day Yoga Challenge (day 25!) , I find that my hamstrings are quite tight. I could really feel the stretch with this practice. My legs were shaking like crazy! I'm sure I'll see improvement in my hamstring flexibility as I continue to develop my home practice, all thanks to Adriene. Thank you!

This video is super helpful for me. I'm a complete newb and new to yoga, and my hamstrings have always been super tight - even since I was young I was never able to touch my toes.
I love how easy you make and how you throw in what new people might experience and ways to make it work for you. In the past I've been reluctant to do videos or join lessons because everyone else is better and I sometimes feel like there's a prerequisite level of flexibility needed.
Your videos make it easy for me to understand, follow, know what I'm feeling for, and understand why and how and what.
    111111111/10 thank you

This video helped so much! I have right hamstring tendinosis and it has been ongoing for months. It hurt all the way through till the block. Contracting against resistance and stretching really seem to help release it. I will definitely be returning to this video!
