Only diff is you can swap the armor eff fragment for literally anything else you'd like. If you take off armor eff frag you land at EXACTLY total 80%DR. Put in dmg, put in w/e you want, but that fragment can go, my b. I've spent 2 days testing and making apoc builds, I'd just screenshot what worked and save those, just used the wrong screeny when making the vid :( 2) Someone brought up a good point that I neglected to address in the vid when it comes to build options if you aren't doing a "no shooting" run, which you shouldn't be doing anyways. If, you keep the armor fragment mentioned in point #1 above this, you can, as an alternative to Soul Guard, use 6 points of barkskin to free up the slot. I personally could not find a utility in having another ring do anything for me on a "no shooting" run so I opted to keep the ring and use the trait points on other things. However, if you have a particular ring you want to use, and are fine with using a frag for that, this is one way to free a slot. 3) Guys you cannot just sit there and spam the relic over and over lmfao. Let it expire. If you pop a relic with 1 sec left, you'll use a new one JUST after it expires.
_Please_ do an apocalypse archon havoc build, or at least make it as strong as you possibly can. You are indeed correct, few people out there seem to be able to do math, and I want to see what someone who has the knowledge and can take the time can come up with.
If you put 9 points into barkskin, can't you take off both the armor fragment on the relic and one of the rings? I made my own DR calculator real quick and this setup should give you 80.019% DR. I'm also thinking about removing the healing effectiveness fragment since I feel like Nimue's Ribbon already give me enough. Two free fragment slot along with a ring slot should give you decent room to build into crit for some damage
Small little correction about DR and why that build was going around and why it should stop going around: Before the hotfix the cap was 80% with amulets/rings/armor and that cap was allowed to be bypassed by Crystal/Void Heart relics allowing you to be literally damage invuln, that was how I cheesed my entire HC Apoc run. Aside from that though it's 100% correct in saying that builds going over 80% DR are wasting ring/amulet slots.

Usually it's 5 minutes of stuttering 4 minutes of gameplay and 1 minute of not really understanding what they built and why they're wasting gear slots.
I would like to thank you for your build. It took a while to gather all the rings, but they helped me beat the final boss. I could not have done that without your guide. Thank you again.
Thank you for explaining the DR % cap in a wah that makes sense. Not only am i guilty of running that popular build you mentioned, but because of you explaining what was wrong with it, ive gotten a WAY better understanding of builds in general and have changed my different builds around enough to see a noticeable difference. It's refreshing to see a build video from someone who actually understands the game. Thanks for the cool build. One issue that I had was that if I didn't dodge, I would constantly be staggered and if I did dodge, I would sometimes be unable to take enough damage to fully refund my used relics. The way I fixed this was by using the Confidence Booster consumable. It reduces stagger by 1, allowing you to facetank everything while still dealing damage. By constantly dealing damage you will also be able to have 100% uptime on Song of Eafier, which will make you even tankier. On top of this, it also reduces the damage you take by 10%, allowing you to unequip the Armor Effectiveness Relic Piece and to put Fortify to 1. I used this to equip the Elemental Resist Relic Piece and to put one point out of Spirit in order to get Potency 10. I chose Potency because it not only saves scrap on Confidence Boosters but also makes micromanaging your buffs a lot less tedious. I heavily recommend doing this to anyone who has scrap to spare and can afford to use a consumable every 40 seconds.
The stagger is a valid complaint. I personally didn't mind it very much since relic use itself reduces stagger and I'd usually time it to deal with attacks accordingly, but I recognize that's a strat that is only beneficial when you are already overly familiar with the bosses.
Good to see someone running this type of setup. For anyone hsving trouble with crystal heart bugging out, I run a similar build using resonating heart, but with 1 free ring slot of your choice (can actuslly have 2 if youre runninf solo) that id be happy to share, and ive run througu apocalypse on it twice with no deaths

As for the people overcapping on DR, it was bugged so that you could actually break the 80% cap if you bypassed using armor, making you take no damage (or even stagger). It was fixed last patch
This video is so well put together! You present the math, explain why it works the way it does for us simpletons that suck at math, and you explain everything so concisely and quickly with amazing diction. Thank you for this video!
Alternatively you could use red doe sigil instead of nimue's ribbon, it only has 30% increased relic efficiency which gets doubled to 60% when below 50% health, but it works with ring of omens to get misty step dodge
Since misty dodge isn't actually doing anything for me, and since ring of omens already gives us fast dodge regardless of weight category, I opted to keep 20% additional consistent relic eff as well as the haste to help with relic consumption. Red doe is still a viable option, I just don't think it should be used for the sake of misty dodge and in my mind is more of a budget choice if you don't have nim's ribbon yet.
@@asialskyI agree with OP. Ring of Omens is better as you'll have infinite dodges. I did a version of this with resonating heart. Seriously enjoyed this video it includes the firt two archetypes I picked up and really enjoyed in this game so I am glad to see they are effective all the way through
This was super informative! Although im chaging it up a fair amount this definitely helped with the understanding of DR builds! Ive never really used tank builds but thought id change it up for a other run of Apoc. Thanks!
Thanks for the info. I never had the correct DR Formula when I made my builds so I was only assuming how it would be calculated but now I know how it works. Thanks a lot
Dam you did a great job explaining your build and show casing it its much better than most videos out there. Your build is absolutely nutty to lol most people going for highest damage and and no damage taken builds and boss runs But you pull up with a no dodge mechanic build🤣 Very well done👍
And as noted when using theBrightsteel Ring instead, you can take off Silicone, and that lets you fast dodge regardless of your Encumbrance to get your tank, healing AND dodge mechanics in one. 🤣
Just found your channel and I'm glad I stumbled into it, very thorough and well done explanation on every decision behind the build without feeling intentionally bloated for run time! Additionally lots of good info ask around just on the game, easy sub and looking forward to seeing other videos from you
This kinda nonsense is why I love this game. It seemed so obvious when I saw what relic and class you were using but I never put the pieces together myself. Great job putting this together
I respect the excel formula fields lol. Also..I'm glad you explained this, cuz I love "pet" builds..and everyone was saying that summoners were not viable in end game
This is great, thought I still decided to opt for more damage reduction overhead to compensate for a slightly lower armor combination in order to reach yellow weight. The problem with Ultra Heavy + Ring of Omens is that even though Ring of Omens is supposed to completely negate weight penalties, it actually does not fully negate the weight penalties on consecutive neutral dodges for some reason. When you try to neutral dodge, only the first dodge is the fast dodge, the second dodge onward will revert back to the ultra heavy super slow backstep, and that has gotten me killed in multiple occasions. Maybe it's a bug, because Bright Steel Ring does not do this, with it all neutral dodges will always be light dodges.
@@DemonTime08 also they nerfed coop damage taken fron +15% per player to +5% per player. So with 3 people you now take 10% more instead of 30% more damage.
This was really helpful, thank you ^^ I've been struggling to find a build I'd like. Trying soo many different things. But this one seems really fun, and I will be trying it out once I get a golden ribbon to craft nimue's ribbon
I would love a video where you go over your spreadsheet and calculations and how we can build our own. That would be so helpful in designing new and creative builds. Would also help in understanding if an item that sounds good on your build is actually good. One thing that frustrates me about the game is that the description of item powers/abilities are not well explained. At least it has been for me. Having something like that spreadsheet would help so much in organizing my thoughts and ideas around build and seeing what would and wouldn't work. So, if you're wondering about an idea for a video, please consider my idea :)
The popular build with over 100% DR was for prepatch when it wasn't correctly capping at 80%. So DR did work that way at some point, just not anymore. The problem is that people have kept using it for some reason even after it was patched.
The first vid from that guy yeah, but the vid from a day or two ago was after DR was fixed and still spouted absurd DR wastes. That said, it is crazy how people are trying to make tank builds as if DR weren't capped still, I see that a lot.
I dont know if anyones already commented on this after the patch, but they patched Ring of Omens so it no longer ignores the armor encumberance for dodging. You can still combine it with a matching amuket like Red Doe Sigil to get the secret teleport dodge, that way you no longer belly flop. But that abviously means you arent able to use Nimue's ribbon.
"..it's because I can do math..." That comment made me instantly like you because I, also, can do math! Great build! I've just finished up collecting just about everything I can in Survivor and I'm going to set this up and try Apocalypse.
If you're a sucker for the math I highly advise watching the latest video on DR and EHP before continuing. Includes a tool for your use, but also just covers some really important stuff that apparently nobody has covered yet.
I love clicking on immortal builds bc every game i try to do this. Now i will say you took a way different approach than me. I bolster my healing overtime way higher and use my relic if my summons are about to die, as well my total dr sits at 71% so not much less. I use the same armor, weapons/mods dont matter and the jewelery i use is, reserve boosting gem, ring of omens, dread font, soul guard, necklace of flowing life. Used this on my Apoc run no issues. Traits that are maxed are: triage, regrowth, fortify, vigor, barksin, blood bond, bloodstream, rugged. Last bit you can do whatever with. In case you didnt know, passive buffs like tranquil heart that heal over time, when used on medic heals the allies around you as well without needing to consume the heart.
Tank builds in Remnant has always been crazy. RTA had a crazy build with the flop dodge. Basically your flop counts as melee damage, so you stack lifesteal and melee bonus damage and you literally flop over bosses and you're unkillable. Hunter/Gunslinger might be the most known combo but god damn, Leto's armor does do crazy stuff
thanks to your build i was able to beat the final boss. not on apocalypse level , on the easiest one, but still i'm very happy. i wouldn't do it without it. it didn't work quite the same as in your video, probably because i didn't have all the traits. i couldn't dodge don't know why. still. tahkns a lot :)
What is with every remnant 2 video that they just seem lacking in information even if they’re an hour long? This is the content remnant 2 deserves on yt. Very nice imo
Hardcore metal band can replace 2 of your rings. "Taking damage adds 1 stack of BULWARK which individually falls of after 10s. Max 5 stacks." then you have a free slot and can use something like "soul link" to get even more healing "Summons Lifesteal 5% of base damage dealt which returns to the wearer as Health"
fun fact about summons (I'm sure you already know this given your calculations) but from my testing (and I have not been able to try all possible mods so something might get omitted) obviously all summoner abilities count as summons, but so does the engineer's gun while planted on the ground, and the dog is just a constant summon (and not like a "companion" or something). As well as the familiar Crow mod AND the tentacle mod. but NOT the acid sprites from the enigma (which is really weird since they stick around till the mod timer runs out) NOR the exploding spiders from the spider eggs weapon mod thing, which again I find weird since you technically are summoning their very lives into existence it's just that they decide to end their life as quickly as possible for your survival.
Thanks for the clean and easy math. Though in hindsight, it's pretty basic overall but seeing it visually makes it pretty obvious. And working with 50% makes it easy.
My cousin in and I started a apocalypse campaign but due to him not being able to get on I was trying to carry on without him. He’s a far better player at these games and usually carry’s me. I tried the build to help me and I got to say for the average player that can’t dodge everything it’s really good, I was able to straight face tank Gwenii the unburnt. The huntress kept destroying my minions so I swapped to engineer. That fight needed a lot more dodges but I was able to beat it on my fourth try. Definitely give this build a go if you can’t time dodges great.
I made a thread on steam with a similar build but the focus is on co-op. Self regeneration can be shared if you use Burden Of The Divine. Have all 3 players slap that on along with having medic as your primary archetype and you pretty much have unlimited relics due to everyone passively healing. 2nd archetype I used summoner at first but I actually switched to handler for the extra ranged and skill damage along with passive healing from the 2nd skill. Oh and Handler revives faster and gets DR during revives. A good option for co-op since you also do and take less damage from teammates. It's so much fun firing tornados everywhere without worrying about killing teammates lol
Wow, I don't comment much but for this I gotta. Great build and packed with relevant info not just for the build but funny enough another one I'm definitely guilty of using. Had no idea just how much that build was over the dr cap as I've just been trying anything and everything to get myself through apoc. Definitely trying this soon as I unlock that mod.
This could be an additional thing but if you have Alchemist maxed out with combination with Feastmaster's Signet, you can actually pop 5 concoctions for more tankiness or whatever for 2 hr duration, drink the liquid death, then you'll be able to take out Alchemist class and the signet and you'll retain the concoction. Idk if it's a bug or not but it works. You can take Bark Extract (30 armor), Tonic (25 HP), Dark Cider (6.66% HP, Stam, MS), Root Water (0.75 HP regen), Sacred Greywater (Grey HP regen) or alternatively Xenoplasm or Shaedberry for either 10% Mod Gen or Skill CD.
Yeah didn't know about the damage reduction cap so it's actually really useful that you explain all this shit unlike other builds where they're just stacking shit upon other shit.

Thanks!
I guess you never had any empathy bosses on your apocalypse runs lol. Those bosses would love this build
I was looking for this comment
Thanks for the info. I never had the correct DR Formula when I made my builds so I was only assuming how it would be calculated but now I know how it works. Thanks a lot
Dam you did a great job explaining your build and show casing it its much better than most videos out there. Your build is absolutely nutty to lol most people going for highest damage and and no damage taken builds and boss runs
But you pull up with a no dodge mechanic build🤣
Very well done👍
Thank you for the excellent build and detailed explanation. I'll try to replicate this build and finally attempt Apocalypse campaign.
Imagine 3 people playing co op together using this same build while using the ring that shares healing by 50% lol omg I need to see that.
Not viable in 3 man at all even on console that doesn’t have the patch yet minions get mollywopped and there goes your bullwarks and you die
@@DemonTime08 console will hopefully get patch soon.. probably the ps5. Idk what’s going on with Xbox
@@DemonTime08I use this build with reaver on co op and it works amazingly lol..
@@DemonTime08 yeah because before the patch, minions sucked. They got buffed A LOT.
@@DemonTime08 also they nerfed coop damage taken fron +15% per player to +5% per player. So with 3 people you now take 10% more instead of 30% more damage.
Awesome! I’ve been trying to beat mother mind on apocalypse for days. Beat her first try with this build. Thank you for sharing!
This was really helpful, thank you ^^ I've been struggling to find a build I'd like. Trying soo many different things. But this one seems really fun, and I will be trying it out once I get a golden ribbon to craft nimue's ribbon
My man this had me giggling on the ground some of the funniest damn snippet selections ever
Thanks for explaining how the DR Cap works, very useful!
Curious to see how that build works against enemies with "Empathy" or all the other BS one-hit-kill crap they came up with.
It doesnt. The bosses heal 10 percent each time you use a relic, even if its a damage relic.
Thanks for the detailed guides!
This is all fun and games until you get a boss with Empathy.
Includes a tool for your use, but also just covers some really important stuff that apparently nobody has covered yet.
so, empathy boss ends ur run
Great explanation, without any chit chat combined with humor and a grain of salt. Here have a like and a sub good sir.
if the boss have empathy traits than this build is useless. other than that its great build
It’s certainly a longer fight, but if you deal enough damage, no problem
Ok this is the best build I've ever seen. 100% subbed.
Giving this a shot right now and am enjoying the playstyle thus far! Excellent video man!
“He did the math”
Great work. No bullshit, no fluff.
just started playtin g and love medic summoner combo , great synergies so super happy to see this thanks
Amazing content. I'm very impressed with how informative this vid is. Congrats.
Great job. Your explanations of your thoughts are informative and entertaining. I respect the effort 💪
Good video, lots of info and some funny bits😁 can’t wait to try this
Omg ! What amazing video ! ❤
Very well structured and explained video. Earned yourself a new sub👌
I have one word for you
*Just one word*
*EMPATHY*
Finally a video to link to when people say I can't critic the game because I'm bad.
Love this kind of content! Keep it up!
This was insightful 👏, keep it up. Thank you
This video is top notch, please make others like this. Enjoy the sub.
This has to be the Best remnant 2 thumbnail haha
This is a quality video, thanks a lot.
First build I watched all the way through. Lots of great information and actual break down of how it works.
Are you a bot?
thanks to your build i was able to beat the final boss. not on apocalypse level , on the easiest one, but still i'm very happy. i wouldn't do it without it. it didn't work quite the same as in your video, probably because i didn't have all the traits. i couldn't dodge don't know why. still. tahkns a lot :)
Great video and i like your presentation style, subbed!! 👍
What is with every remnant 2 video that they just seem lacking in information even if they’re an hour long? This is the content remnant 2 deserves on yt. Very nice imo
Just subscribed because I like this build ... will give apoc a try with this .
Thanx for sharing
Hello 🎉
One Question.... Do you know where to get, the Amulet MINUE, tape.Blue❤?
...and the AE *song of Eafir* modifier...🤩
Hardcore metal band can replace 2 of your rings. "Taking damage adds 1 stack of BULWARK which individually falls of after 10s. Max 5 stacks." then you have a free slot and can use something like "soul link" to get even more healing "Summons Lifesteal 5% of base damage dealt which returns to the wearer as Health"
Thank you for this video this was awesome
Subscribed, great info, and nice explaining of how the things work that i didnt understand.
this is awesome! thank god i chose medic, gona try this later, thank you.
And imma save this to my watch later for after my current play through *saved👀
People are crazy with making these builds but at the same time it is fucking awesome. Love this shit and Love this game!!!
This was a good guide my boi.
Great Video!
Bruh, these builds just continue to amaze the fuck outta me. Been running something very similar, just crazy how powerful some of this shit can get
fun fact about summons (I'm sure you already know this given your calculations) but from my testing (and I have not been able to try all possible mods so something might get omitted) obviously all summoner abilities count as summons, but so does the engineer's gun while planted on the ground, and the dog is just a constant summon (and not like a "companion" or something).
Genuinely do more of this there are tons of game builds that would benefit with this type of information
Actually sad that the Dr doesn’t just stack, I thought it did, probably going to use this to fix my tank engineer build. Thanks a lot man
Don't worry I still shoot the enemies with my summoner build. Nice video man and awesome build.
Really good video and build. Im just starting the game, but gonna go this route eventually.
Lol thanks for the video and that end message XD
Yeah didn't know about the damage reduction cap so it's actually really useful that you explain all this shit unlike other builds where they're just stacking shit upon other shit.
What is that flying around the boss, is that from a mod?
How do you get mythic relic mods? Mine stopped leveling up.
How do you have fortify when its class locked for engineer?
Really good video
Bro you are amazing how is possible you have only this subs you should have so much more ,,❤️
Finally someone addressing the other shitty builds. Thank you :)
