It would be a good game if it weren't for the money-minded producer. I don't recommend this game to anyone, it's focused on buying packages that won't do anything
My best build so far is the summoner/engineer because you do damage, life steal, self healing and defense and the skills from the engineer class will count as summons as well
Handler/Summoner is currently carrying me through Apoc. I just apply Slow and Bleed to everything and let my minions do their thing, they heal me when they do damage thanks to Soul Link, they take 10% of damage for me through Blood Bond, I can blow up my minions if I need to do burst damage or make healing puddles, and I can pick myself up every 90 seconds on top of being able to pick up my buddies faster than everyone else.
I thought as much on my first ever apocalypse run..... it was great.... till I reached bosses then it crumbled. Even with rugged minions just die to quickly on apocalypse and alot of the time your charater autolocks onto them and messes up your camera (especially when your using the flyers which are darting all over the place) means you have to put 10 points into expertise which is a bummer cause its not the greatest use of 10 trait points especially for apocalypse just to keep summons active. Anything below apocalypse it's runs smoothly.
@@The-Spanish-Inquisition490 I keep hearing that, but I honestly haven't been struggling all that much. If anything, I've been surviving better than my team. (used 16 relic charges during Faerin, only 2 of which were for me) Granted, there's probably a bit of a skill gap there, but it's still been pretty smooth sailing so far. Then again, I'm still only 2 worlds deep in my Apoc run, so there's still plenty of time for the game to prove me wrong.

(the pain points were Corruptor, Venom, and Annihilation, which I'm not at all shocked by since the last 2 were Spiteful) I am happy that out of the 3 bosses I struggled with, not a single one was because of my Dog, but because I was bad. Really puts into perspective all of those comments I've read saying that Handler isn't good for it.
With the immortal medic build, you can add the mod that gives you 200% mod power for all your self(?) healing. I’m sure there’s a ridiculous immortal mod build you can do with it. Combine that with spirit and arcane strike and you just might never be without your weapon mods active.
@mduby7821 when playing with max party public lobbies where the host and other party member gobble up all the ammo drops it's hard to not run out ammo when going through say N'erud. And since I'm using Savior it has a long reload animation so it helps me stomach the reload.

Fun change to the first build, adding one of my favorite combos, especially solo: replace amulet with the Matriarch's Insignia, replace the allied healing reading for dying ember and use the Ornate Flail with the Steadfast mutator. Unkillable infinite heavy attack helicopter.
The tank melee build destroys all of these to me because it removes stagger and relic use, so stagger chain attacks and empathy bosses just aren’t a problem. (Challenger+medic, world edge, steadfast mutator, drakestone pearl plus melee lifesteal ring. Use letto II armor and lab gloves and ignore dodge bec u literally don’t want to ever use. Just spam charge melee. Enjoy your free ammy slot and two ring slots)
For your amulet use hallowed egg (after using 30% of your ammo, gain 10percent melee damage for 7sec stacks 5 times) then use cube gun as secondary, after shooting cube gun for less than a second at close range, you now do 50% more melee dmg which decreases by 10% every 7 secs. Once you start losing the dmg just spray the cube gun (which has infinite ammo) and your back to doing 50%
Try out the mod spam build that i use. The archetypes are summoner and the archon as prime archetype. With burden of the gambler, stone of malevolence, probablity cord, shard banded ring,with the talisman of the sun. Paired with the witch fire mod and the fire storm it is a crazy build imo
U forgot about the other solid dps build, Challenger/gunslinger with Rampage and bulletstorm. Its more of a fire rate burst dmg setup but its super flexible and u have a built in free res from challenger prime perk. Its a tankier dps build but works similar to HUGS but without so much need to hit weakpoints
Completed apocalypse with medic/ Summoner build with the resonating heart.. weapons merciless rifle with twisted rounds or nebula for corrosive stack.. currently using abrasive whetstone as amulet, ring of omens, ring of the robust, zanias malice, and last ring spot i use soul guard for the bulwark bonus for every summon.. a bit generic sure but works very well because the overheal we get is so high it looks like we're tanking so much stuff..

Which ring this my combo but I went with shock damage the bug zapper pistol the status amulet that buffs damage and aoes and the ring that increases all dame with the flame turret claps cheeks.
I’m high key a little disappointed about melee being near useless against so many boss. That said I run a invader/ challenger melee build crit/melee damage with ring for more back attack damage. Playstyle is wormhole behind target for 300% hit: use back dash heavy on the great sword (forgot name) but has electric attack. I can usually 1 shot mini bosses on apoc. With this.
Am I missing something? He’s using the whetstone amulet but how is he making the enemies bleed? Was it a mod I missed? Because the weapons he was using didn’t apply bleed by themselves I don’t think. The swap build for example, he’s still running the amulet that benefits from bleed but neither gun makes bleed.
Shaed Bloom Crystal (30% damage bonus that swaps between physical and elemental damage every 5 sec) is probably the best choice for that corrosive and twisting wounds mod HUGS build
Probably a stupid question but i am very interested in trying the dps hunter gunslinger build, but i dont see where your bleeding status comes from? am i missing something because i see things that work well with bleed but nothing to actually proc the bleed
I don't get how you get these high numbers. Most buffs give about 10%, and I can only assume you will likely max out at 300% any kind of damage by assumption, but not only do I not see any assault rifles that seem to go over 300 damage per shot at full auto, but you're doing 10x that much as well. Still only a couple of weeks new to the game, finding it hard to level anything to max with how low money, iron, and lumenite drops, but these numbers are ridiculous.

Resonating heart build is a bit misleading.. theres an in-depth video going on about it double dipping into it's own healing.. i see this being patched for sure. Although I suppose if you get your apoc clear done before that, it doesn't really matter. Just sad for me to see people would rather not learn the game/mechanics.

I definitely just be abusing stone of malevolence with archon summoner using meredian with failsafe mutator, def not the best build out there but I just like being able to nonstop spam the screamer mod on meredian. Probably doesn't keep up in DPS with alot of the hugs or huch builds but is a ton of fun
I got the Corruptor on the very end of my apocalyps run and if its not enpught, he have the Empathy. I trying to kill him over 9 hours today, changing my build so many times but nothing works 😢
Surely one of the best build videos out there... You guys have definitely done your homework! I am currently using the medic, summoner, to carry my other two friends, but definitely going to try some of these other builds!
I'm only on veteran difficulty, but I've been using gunslinger (prime) and handler. merciless (harmonizer) krells axe (Vampire blade) MP60 with Corrosive rounds ( bandit) Amulet is Abrasive Whetstone and rings are blood jewel, Probability Cord, Low Yield Recovery Ring, and Zania's Malice. And my relic fragments are Ranged Crit Chance, Weakspot Damage, Ranged Damage. And i've been having a lot of fun with that build. Which i'm sure there's room for improvement. But just working with what I have and its been really fun and effective for me.
If you didn't complete Apo solo with HUGS - HUCH/Shotgun then you just CANT DODGE. If you really need a build that takes you 45 minutes to kill a boss cause you feel standing still is the way to go no one can help you.
I've played some tank builds and they were just boring to me. The build I used for apocalypse and hc was a status affect build and you had to dodge. Far more fun than standing still face tanking

I read second hand somewhere a dev said they like that theres a build that offers good healing since it comes at a cost to dps. So if its double dipping, that may be fixed, but a variant of it would be in the game still. Dont know if that comment was actually true though, so take that info however you like. It makes sense instead of the boring "everyone run Hugs" meta

Ranking - Support Build (B-tier - Unnecessary build with solid dodge mechanics, low dps, for low skill players, Loop build (A-, Functional, but this variant needs work), Ranged DPS Build ( C- Average DPS. Not sure why it's listed as high DPS, as it's only doing between 4-5k dps), Infinite Mode (A-, This would be S-tier if the build here wasn't jacked up. There are solid S-tier variants that are built differently), Shock and Swap Burst (C- Not good, not bad. Swap is pointless, as you can do higher DPS without swapping anything, Also, not all enemies are vulnerable to shock).
@@Zero-C00L Everybody says they have "the best" build. I swap builds during runs, and mostly play a run and gun style, and rely on dodge mechanics. I typically play some handler hybrid, and use the dog for aggro. Everything else just depends where I'm at in the game and what boss I'm facing. For dungeon runs, and areas with a lot of adds, I use the Twisted Arbalest. Also for immobile bosses. If it's something more mobile, I go with one of the bows. There's not one special build that's going to be the best for the entire game.

Seriously. Ammo box is one of my main consumables. One heal, one ammo, one for the status effect of the region and one on rotation.

Engineer/handler for me, summon the turret, overpower it. Bonues damage from handler passives. Turret heals you thanks to ring. Dog aggros everything

When people say back dash are they referring to neutral dodge or is there some mechanic I’ve missed after 300 hours in this game?
I feel like the provisioner ring isn't really needed for the shotgun swap build since the Sidewinder is what does it lol

Twisting wounds mutator on his handgun. At level 10, ranged weakspot and ranged crit hits apply bleed.

do you have a handler/gunslinger opinion or build?
I'm only on veteran difficulty, but I've been using gunslinger (prime) and handler. merciless (harmonizer) krells axe (Vampire blade) MP60 with Corrosive rounds ( bandit) Amulet is Abrasive Whetstone and rings are blood jewel, Probability Cord, Low Yield Recovery Ring, and Zania's Malice. And my relic fragments are Ranged Crit Chance, Weakspot Damage, Ranged Damage. And i've been having a lot of fun with that build. Which i'm sure there's room for improvement. But just working with what I have and its been really fun and effective for me.

honestly on apocalypse any DPS build feels almost useless because you die to one shot on most bosses. unless you are perfect with every roll.
You can use misty step to make the s so generous grandma could dodge. Also saves you a lot of relic chugging time

If you didn't complete Apo solo with HUGS - HUCH/Shotgun then you just CANT DODGE. If you really need a build that takes you 45 minutes to kill a boss cause you feel standing still is the way to go no one can help you.
I've played some tank builds and they were just boring to me. The build I used for apocalypse and hc was a status affect build and you had to dodge. Far more fun than standing still face tanking

People say it's an exploit.. might get patched if it gets enough attention...
I read second hand somewhere a dev said they like that theres a build that offers good healing since it comes at a cost to dps. So if its double dipping, that may be fixed, but a variant of it would be in the game still. Dont know if that comment was actually true though, so take that info however you like. It makes sense instead of the boring "everyone run Hugs" meta
Resonating carried me through apocalypse.
With that said, crystal heart is an incredible alternative if the resonating does get fixed

Ranking - Support Build (B-tier - Unnecessary build with solid dodge mechanics, low dps, for low skill players, Loop build (A-, Functional, but this variant needs work), Ranged DPS Build ( C- Average DPS. Not sure why it's listed as high DPS, as it's only doing between 4-5k dps), Infinite Mode (A-, This would be S-tier if the build here wasn't jacked up. There are solid S-tier variants that are built differently), Shock and Swap Burst (C- Not good, not bad. Swap is pointless, as you can do higher DPS without swapping anything, Also, not all enemies are vulnerable to shock).

@@Zero-C00L Everybody says they have "the best" build. I swap builds during runs, and mostly play a run and gun style, and rely on dodge mechanics. I typically play some handler hybrid, and use the dog for aggro. Everything else just depends where I'm at in the game and what boss I'm facing. For dungeon runs, and areas with a lot of adds, I use the Twisted Arbalest. Also for immobile bosses. If it's something more mobile, I go with one of the bows. There's not one special build that's going to be the best for the entire game.

Too much info and science for nothing. You don't need that. I'm just playing 1st time, using Ritualist (as main)+Medic, and it's just great. You people making games looks like Rocket Science, instead to just relax and enjoy it. "Need this, that, the other, that ring, that amulet, that weapon", blablabla. It's just a game, not real life athletic event.

I played hardcore veteran to obtain my 'Savior' rifle along with the rings/amulet that you get for each milestone in completing each area.

Wish melee build could be viable without world’s edge but sadly this game is just not designed for melee
