Finally very happy with this exhaust! Took 5 hours of hard labor to install, hard to fit all the pipes together on a 2022. But now it growls like a lion in heat! No more burned leg! Better bark and growl for a 1200 scrambler. Not too loud. Bitch to install, but worth it!!
Ordered mine yesterday as soon as it was available on the U.S. site. Thanks for making it. 1. It's an actual exhaust, not just shotgun pipes for an absurd price, and 2. it's literally the most inexpensive choice stateside for this bike. I can't wait to have it installed.
Hi all, I have a 2019 Scrambler 1200, and I bought the Flank exhaust about 2 months ago - easy to install and a huge weight savings. I have also removed the cat from the stock exhaust, removed the airbox snorkel, and installed the Boosterplug. This bike is fun! It is so lively and torquey that it is a blast to ride quickly. I have also installed the Tec bar ends and they look much better than the stock mirrors and work well too. Just got the tail tidy and will install it tomorrow. I love this bike! My last bike was a 2013 Triumph Tiger 800 which I rode for over 90,000km and was also a very good bike. Traded it in on this and ain't looking back.
Just fitted mine yesterday, but one of the exhaust extensions (the bottom) one is 10mm too long.. which means I can only fit the heat shield over the cat.. will have to take the hand saw to it later. Other than that, wow, the sound is AMAZING!! Holy hell, I am going to have to get the additional baffle now, even with the cat still installed lol!!
Sounds great and I appreciate the effort to keep the costs down - well done! My only criticism would be that the end heat shield now looks to big - I was wondering if anyone has attempted to make it smaller - from a height point of view? I think this would also address the comments re the "can" needing to be longer ????
Superb engineering, as per usual, & full of logical reasoning. One tiny personal preference would be as some comments below. Would like the end just finishing past the last heat shield rather than hidden. Great product, great sound! Just need to buy a Scrambler now to buy one of these 😁
I put a full system on my bike a while back, got it from Total Triumph, uses some bits from the K & N Street Street Scrambler kit plus some bits that Total Triumph fabricated to make it work on the bigger engine. Your add-on looks just as good, and is simpler and less expensive. Good work.

When you give it the berries, tho....sounds great. Felt a bit choked at approx 95mph, so I may try to run it w/out the baffle next time and see what happens. I did the Triumph Tune (let it idle for 15-20min until fan kicks on) before i rode to work this morning. *There were some minor fitment issues with the TOP mid-pipe as it connects to the Free-spirits de-cat, however. I used some stainless steel tubing and clamped it down around the mid-pipe where it connects to the header to ensure a seal as best as possible---now everything feels snug-ish.* May need to purchase some proper piping, however...to ensure fitment is tight.

Yes we agonised over this , But I love the fact you now have a clear view under the fender and of the right side shock. Just looks a lot more scrambler !
george milburn I can guess how it presented problems. Did you consider an indent on the rear to get around the shock? Not an easy or cheap solution. What diameter is the silencer? It looks very compact.
2022 and newer bikes, I think the CAT would just come off with the ship-on since they don't have it up front anymore. I just bought a 2022 Scrambler 1200 XC today that already has slip-ons, and I don't see a CAT anywhere up front, it's just pipes under the front heat shield. The exhaust smells pretty raw too. Sounds great though.
Must admit, I agree with most here, nice sound but too short from side. I've gone with the SP Engineering shotgun pipes which also make use of the factory heat shields. They're a little on the noisy side but at least car drivers know I'm coming :)

TEC Bike Parts, have you looked at making a 2 into 1 that would pass behind the rear shock and continue back out to a short mega type silencer nicely out of the way of the passenger? Looks tight but there could be room if the current bracket was removed. That would be the best of all worlds, especially if it was a full de-cat system with just one neat heat shield.
Super badass exhaust!!! My top pipe is a little too short? Sounds deeper without much more volume with the baffle removed. It really looks better in person, the pipe is the right length and looks good as you walk around the bike. Love the way it opens up the rear section to see both shocks! Can't say there is a significant performance difference as I dropped a tooth on the front sprocket at the same time and it stays on one wheel now!!!
I'm also of the opinion that the exhaust would look better if it was a bit longer and protruded past the rear plate. I'm looking at getting an end cap insert of have one custom made. What is the diameter of the end pipe?
Nice job! A test of how much heat reduction is achievd would be very helpful. I am looking at decat. But that is measured to reduce The heat with only 6 degrees celcius. If this takes it down 10 degrees or more. Ill be very inclined to order one.

The fact that Triumph dumped a load of the V and H systems on the market at £300 stopped us from making them in 2018/19. A lot of customers that paid £1000 for them on street twins in 2016 (me included) were far from impressed by Triumphs actions and proved these V+H systems were not fit for purpose.

Installed today. Top connecting pipe (one that connects to the Cat) is a little too short for a great fit. Did you lengthen the top pipe in a more recent production run?
I ordered this exaust 16 days ago from the US site. Is the US site legit? I still havent received my exaust and havent gotten an email response back... starting to het nervous.
This video is with the Hi flow straight through baffle fitted, this is quite a bit quieter than the short shots even with washers fitted. But we also do an extra mid mount DB killer that can be used with or without the hi flow baffle to get the sound at exactly the level you want. Volume level is always hard to get across in a video.
@@georgemilburn6213 do you have any db measurements with the hi flow baffle installed and with the mid mount db killer? Also, I can't seem to find the mid mount DB killer on the site. Update: I installed my Exhausts with baffles on and my goodness, the sound is absolutely bonkers. Mine's 2022 1200 XE so the cat was housed in the exhausts. So essentially, my bike is decatted with these Flanks and I couldn't be happier. Just hearing my bike roar makes me smile from ear to ear. 😂
How you finding the power? I think George said it lost a bit of power without the cat (on Euro 4 at least) - I bet it does sound brilliant either way 👍🏻😁
14:57 In this video it is said that the Vance & Hines 2 into 1 system for the Street Twin shouldn't be used on 1200 models because the pipes are 38mm instead of 40mm and it doesn't provide enough flow. Now I don't have access to a dyno so I can't speak to how the system affects top end but, I should point out that on the T120 the stock pipes that come out of the catalytic converter are significantly smaller than the 40mm pipes that go into it. So with that bottleneck plus the cat itself, the stock system is much more restrictive than the V&H and no one should worry about it not having enough flow for the 1200. All this to say if anyone is wondering, The V&H 2-1 system works just fine on my T120 in addition to being a 13kg weight reduction. You must trim the Street Twin side panel a bit to accommodate the dual throttle bodies on the 1200 and remove the silver cover behind the fake carb but those are the only two mods you need to make. Although not absolutely essential I'd definitely recommend adding the TEC booster plug to correct the fueling.
The pipes aren't bent right for a 2022 and they are too tight on the lower connection so it is TERRIBLY hard to get them to fit on properly. I've been at it for 2 hours, and I still cant get them to seat right against the Header pipes. This is kinda a pain in the BUTT. I've had to bash the midpipe sections forward with a hammer, but then when I pry them away from the bike to fit the silencer, they back off. The Midpiple 2 into 1 section has the pipes too close together, they need about 1/2 seperation, but they're nearly touching so you realy have to bend and bash with a hammer to try and get them fitted together. I've been pushing, rocking, and hammering for 2 hours and can't get them totally seated together. I don't know how it's so easy in this video. UPDATE: I finally got it installed. 5 hours and tons of sweat. But it sounds great, looks better, doesn’t burn my leg anymore, and flows easier! Absolutely LOVE it and we’ll worth it only AFTER all the 5 hours of hard installation :)
Why is everyone making exhausts, but there's no "nice" heat shield alternative. I want something nicer than this ugly plate. Something like the scrambler 900 has would be nice.
You have to consider the price as well. It's less than 1/3rd the price of other competitors but sounds equally awesome. It's functionality over form for sure.

@@georgemilburn6213 do you have any db measurements with the hi flow baffle installed and with the mid mount db killer? Also, I can't seem to find the mid mount DB killer on the site. Are you still producing it? I'm trying to find an aftermarket solution with better sound but still meet USFS OHV requirements (96db max & spark arrestor)
How does the width of this pipe compare to stock? Asking as I’ve got the Metal Mule pannier rack on mine…
same width as stock
@@TECBikeParts Sweeeet, so I dare say this is on, nice. Thank you 🙂
Yes!
I love this bike, but with only a 29" leg I can't even touch the floor!
We are making a lowering kit soon
Hi, could you explain your theory to this woman. She won't listen to me. RUclips videos: 1) Be the Boss of the Bike - Episode One "kick-stands and up-righting the bike" 2) Be the Boss of the Bike - Episode Two "Step-up and roll" 3) Pint-Sized Rider Jocelin Snow Taming a Big-Bore GS Is Proof Size Doesn't Matter
How much lower would it be George?
Has anyone tried removing the baffles on the Flank 2-1?
Update: I installed my Exhausts with baffles on and my goodness, the sound is absolutely bonkers. Mine's 2022 1200 XE so the cat was housed in the exhausts. So essentially, my bike is decatted with these Flanks and I couldn't be happier. Just hearing my bike roar makes me smile from ear to ear. 😂
How you finding the power? I think George said it lost a bit of power without the cat (on Euro 4 at least) - I bet it does sound brilliant either way 👍🏻😁
🔥🔥🔥🔥brilliant
I'm ordering
With this you are not taking any passengers either! The hot smoke goes right onto their leg
I would have one if it was 10cm longer
lets face it if you want to loose the heat ..the cat must go .. that simple
Perfect 👍👍👍😉
Top.
Oouuh mama!!
Why is everyone making exhausts, but there's no "nice" heat shield alternative. I want something nicer than this ugly plate. Something like the scrambler 900 has would be nice.
This exhaust sound great but Look like shiet!
You have to consider the price as well. It's less than 1/3rd the price of other competitors but sounds equally awesome. It's functionality over form for sure.
totally ruins the look of the bike
:-))) what "exhaust system" ???!!! even the flames are showing :-))) let alone the noise !
Those are not flames... regular exhaust emission - mostly water vapour.
Sorry, Hard Pass
Sounds awful looks hideous.
In what way would YOU want to improve it ?
@@georgemilburn6213 Hey George. If i could interject, if the muffler stuck out past the rear guard 2-3" i think it would be bang on, or possibly a dual muffler setup. Thanks for your hard work. Love it & Keep it up!
