    Do not apologize that your Scrambler is dirty.✅ Looks best like that. Mine is always in a state of very dirty🤘. I would love to have the slash cut and decat the bike as well. But here in Switzerland if I get caught the coppers take the bike.... and with a heavy fine on top. I have now 35000 km on it and I am still not bored🏁

      @@PaulBilton Yes swiss police is very strict. Even in the summer on our famous alp passes they catch foreigners. If you like check out my bike as well on my channel. What I highly recommend is that you get the Barkbusters handguards if you go grennlines. The OEMS break really fast just a little drop and they break off, including most of the time break or clutch lever as well.

    DEFINITELY remove the Cat like you said. (and add the Booster plug) Best thing you can do for performance and engine longevity. I have an SS 900 and kept the stock cans. I really like the look of the BC slash-cuts but I wish to preserve the ability to carry a passenger of female design. It's not too loud, it's just right. Stock cans are strait through also with only a slight restrictor.

    • @PaulBilton
      @PaulBilton  3 года назад +1

      Hi and thanks for watching, much appreciated!
      The gremlins I was referring to were related to the traction control & ABS randomly erroring and disabling itself (OCABS Disabled).As well as getting the OCTC Disabled error message as well. Most worrying. The dealer never seems to be able to fix it.

      @@PaulBilton Thanks for the reply Paul and grrr, we're just waiting on stock to arrive in my country and I was going to purchase one and pretty much mod it as you have but not if it has glitches on this first version. I've read a couple of other reports of the ignition fob playing up too and electrical problems are a big nuisance, particularly if intermittent. Losing traction control and abs potentially more than a nuisance! I'm a mature rider (in age at least) and aren't that keen on a thousand electronic aids to get you down the road in the first place and if the things aren't trustworthy it kind of puts a spanner in it a bit. Will keep an eye on your channel for future updates or comments. Thanks again for your time.

      @@PaulBilton well I picked one up a couple of weeks ago and am still grinning from ear to ear. Here in New Zealand there are a lot of gravel roads and we've been exploring some with a mate on his German thing. Just a couple of further question on the pipes if you don't mind, do you still have them on or has the noise proven too much? Did you ever look at universal baffles? How is the performance, fuel economy and throttle response? And a question on the high front guard: do you find you and/or the radiator get covered with spray when in bad weather or off road? Thanks Paul.

    Very nice mods you’ve done there.
    I really like what you’ve done with your XE.
    I want to install those slash cut pipes on my XE, but, wow,how loud they are!
    Are they any cooler to the touch than the stock pipes?
    If so, the cooler temperature, and the lighter weight might justify the louder pipes.
    All in all, though, Triumph have created a masterpiece with this bike.

  • @paruco66

    The handling of the bike is even much better and easier with the Anakee Adventure tires from Michelin. They look cool on the bike as well. The factory tire Tourance from Metzeler is except for the look definitely not the best choice for this particular bike. Try out the Anakees on your Scrambler and you will experience a total different bike handling, especially when surfing curves.

    • @PaulBilton

      Thanks for watching. I used the baffles that came supplied either pipes. I had to machine them a little so they fitted nicely. I also had to fit them before the install as well, much easier that way, due to the position of the fixing bolt next to the rear shock.
