This version is with Floor, the original was with the original singer-Tarja-so there are basically two versions. Buenos Aires is awesome though. I've never heard any of Nightwish's music before, but am a fan of a similar band called "Within Temptation" (who I've got all their albums, live concert DVDs/blu-rays and absolutely love!). I think I'll definitely have to check out all of Nightwish's music in the near future.
Floor and Sharon are friends and are both Dutch. Floor and Sharon have sang together with Floor's band After Forever or Revamp can't remember.. Within Temptation started about the same time as Nightwish.

Marko (the bassist) is a world class singer. He had a metal band with his brother since early or mid 80's. In parallel, he joined nightwish in early 2000's. There are some songs where he really shines : - Phantom of the Opera : Nightwish's live cover in 2005 with Tarja, the first female lead singer of nightwish. - Hight Hopes : Nightwish's tribute to Pink Floyd. Easily the greatest Pink Floyd cover. - The Islander : a Nightwish song. The Tempere concert version is great.

82,000 there at Wacken. Is this your first Nightwish? If so then Ghost Love Score at the same concert is an absolute must. It is one of their 3 "signature" songs, along with "Pit and the Pendulum" and "Greatest Show on Earth". You need a touch of research before you watch the pendulum to get the most from it.

All the best versions of Elvenpath are paired with other songs. The Instrumental leads the latest. Sadly they just lost the bass player a few months ago. He got fed up with the business side of music and retired. I guess with the pandemic some of the big promotion companies shifted around and now the bands have to pay for everything upfront when touring.

Sadly the album is not like this, every song sung by Floor at this concert was by previous two singers neither of whom sound like this. Elvenjig and Elvenpath combined live at Buenos Aires 2018 is the way to go.
That's not Tarja that was Floor. Tarja was fired from the band years before this. In fact, Floor was not officially with the band during this concert she was brought in after they fired Anette in Denver CO on tour. Floor had 5 days to learn all the songs before the Seattle show.

Old within temptation is comparable in some ways, but the newer song are not.

The most amazing part is how close to exactly the same they are. The bast looking live original version (with Tarja and even Pre-Marko) is also a twofer_ with the song Fantasmic following instead of Jig preceding, and is here: ruclips.net/video/SCnrVCSjwjc/видео.html (old HQ 480P small aspect) and the sound is a tad lacking, but the only other live one with Tarja is a whopping 240p. Personally I prefer Tarja's in the studio version but either of Floor's in the live shows from South America are fine (I prefer Floor over all but that's just my bias, your mileage may very)

Sadly they just lost the bass player a few months ago. He got fed up with the business side of music and retired. I guess with the pandemic some of the big promotion companies shifted around and now the bands have to pay for everything upfront when touring.

Sadly the album is not like this, every song sung by Floor at this concert was by previous two singers neither of whom sound like this. Elvenjig and Elvenpath combined live at Buenos Aires 2018 is the way to go.

That's not Tarja that was Floor. Tarja was fired from the band years before this. In fact, Floor was not officially with the band during this concert she was brought in after they fired Anette in Denver CO on tour. Floor had 5 days to learn all the songs before the Seattle show.
