@SteveNL The only thing that bothers me is Floor, it breaks my heart that many songs have been released for Tarja's vocals, 5 albums, and Floor with nightwish already 10 years and only a few songs have been released for her vocals, she deserved more than all the vocalists. During this time, she could have shown so much with her diverse vocals, her vocals were almost wasted all this time.I want her to be able to show her talent fully, at full power, for this all the songs should be sung by her, and all the songs should be released only for her vocals, it somehow reimburses her wasted time.
@SteveNL Of course,sing live is the best of all, so that Floor can show how good her vocals are, she must definitely sing live.From 2015 to 2020, Thomas did not release anything, so much time has gone almost empty.I, do not know when the new album, will be released, hopefully will be released as soon as possible, I don't want Floor time to go in vain anymore,i hope these songs will be such that they can open up new sides of Floor vocals, soprano, opera notes in the songs are very small,this should be more in the songs, I'm sure that if Floor wants then can sing any of these high, low notes and even these whistle notes, I hope that this opportunity will be in new songs,I think it would put a point for everyone in the world that Floor is the best singer on the planet and best in everything.

Other than that, all the songs in the Wacken 2013 setlist are about the best performances recorded, although Nightwish live is always good.
Floor can sing anything - from deep growls to straight up opera. Not only has she trained in some of the best academies in the Netherlands, she has also earned a living as a vocal coach. She originally joined the band After Forever in 1997 (when she was 16), and when the band folded, she started her own band, Revamp. She joined Nightwish in 2012 (their 3rd vocalist), and has been incredibly active in many genres, but her favorite is metal. There is no shortage of Floor Jansen material, and yes, she has her own RUclips channel. Having met her, I can say she is incredibly grateful and genuinely appreciative of her fans - one of the better people in the metal scene (and there are lots of great people in the metal scene - she just happens to be near the top). Watching her live is a treat - there are always a few times during one of her concerts (any band), where her band-mates kind of turn around and stare in wonder and amazement of what she can do with her amazing instrument. She is one of a kind.

Now you are starting to appreciate Nightwish. At this festival floor had been with the band about 10 months and was starting to put her personal spin on their back catalogue. Shortly after this she became an official member and things just got better. For you, there is still the pleasure of discovering Marco's vocals. And there is also a member you haven't met yet. Keep going down the rabbit hole, it's worth it

Our Floor can belt , growl and operatic , she is the Queen of Metal. She is a voicenerd and she did Rockacademy and she did 2 years classical training, and in the years after she did all voice better . Just check her covers on Floor Jansen YT and the things she did with Beste Zangers , she is a powerhouse :D
She is focused, dedicated, gifted, and will continue to surprise you even when you think you have a good grasp of her abilities. Oh, she is nice too! Frankly, I still hold that some of her best work is with her first band, After Forever and then Revamp. Now her voice is like a cherished wine cellar - She can pick whatever vintage and year to make anything go with whatever she needs to or wants to.
You have a keen ear for detail, and such a genuine 😁! I love the contrast you were able to draw between the rawness of this song and ethereal sound of 'Ghost Love Score'. The orchestral climax was awesome. Hope youve been getting to relax and focus on yourself!
Have you noticed how awesome the audio/video quality is from the Wacken concert? That and their performance is a reason that anything from Wacken is so highly recommended. The entire concert is available on dvd and I highly recommend watching it in it's entirety on a big screen plugged into a good sound system. It's the best way to truely experience how tight this band is. Party in your living room.
Great reaction! Floor is like a general commanding her 82,000 loyal troops here at Wacken (Germany) in 2013. She has Insane talent both vocally and in her showmanship. Floor is world class. She just happens to be in a world class Finnish metal band. A match made in heaven. But, she could be anywhere and dominate that ecosystem. There are so many great Dutch singers and musicians. This whole concert at Wacken is tremendous. Floor sings at this level the entire time and does not miss a note. If you keep following Gabriel Bardac's list you can't go wrong. By the way, our Valkarie Floor is just over 6' tall and with her heels she is close to 6'5" on stage, just adding to her stage presence.
My favourite Nightwish song, Storytime is a story about stories and references so many stories from our childhoods in such a way that you remember every story you ever heard. Floors power and emotion is infectious and the music drives it home with a groove that only reinforces Floors voice, simply perfect

Hi Aileen. It always feels so good to see the smiles and the reactions on people's faces when Floor's sound is absorbed by the brain. Her knowledge and experience with the vocal mechanism is unmatched on this planet. She knows what to put where and how much as well as her ability to tell the story which she finds extremely important. Yes, to many she may be just singing but she is actually telling a story and expressing that to her audience, and she does it very well. This song came early on in this show and they did Ghost Love Score as well as the 13th song on the setlist.... Yup, she hit that belt at the end like nobody's business and usually has enough in the tank for another 8 songs although this set was only 15. The journey continues... For the next reaction I recommend "Romanticide" same venue. ruclips.net/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/видео.html It's one of their heavier songs and no opera parts, but you will be introduced to Marko Hietala, the viking looking fellow playing the bass guitar who was Floor's vocal match made in heaven. You will also hear Floor hit her highest recorded note in front of an 82,000+ crowd. I haven't checked personally, but I was told it was an F6. 🤘👍 Unfortunately Marko is no longer with the band. He expressed some disappointments with the music industry in an open letter he posted online on January 12, 2021. He said he was "leaving Nightwish and his public life". Most of his decision came from him admitting he was a chronic depressant and there were some things he was forced to walk away from that unfortunately were tied to the band. It's even more impressive when you realize she has only (in this vid) been with the band a few months. She came in early in the tour to replace the previous singer. "You have 48 hours to learn the set" is a great documentary on it... Oh, and if you want to hear her climb the ladder, watch her and Henk Poort sing Phantom of the Opera...
Floor has stated the most difficult song for her to sing is Ever Dream, the performance from this same show is amazing if you’re looking for a follow up.

She is focused, dedicated, gifted, and will continue to surprise you even when you think you have a good grasp of her abilities. Oh, she is nice too! Frankly, I still hold that some of her best work is with her first band, After Forever and then Revamp. Now her voice is like a cherished wine cellar - She can pick whatever vintage and year to make anything go with whatever she needs to or wants to.

Have you noticed how awesome the audio/video quality is from the Wacken concert? That and their performance is a reason that anything from Wacken is so highly recommended. The entire concert is available on dvd and I highly recommend watching it in it's entirety on a big screen plugged into a good sound system. It's the best way to truely experience how tight this band is. Party in your living room.

Great reaction! Floor is like a general commanding her 82,000 loyal troops here at Wacken (Germany) in 2013. She has Insane talent both vocally and in her showmanship. Floor is world class. She just happens to be in a world class Finnish metal band. A match made in heaven. But, she could be anywhere and dominate that ecosystem. There are so many great Dutch singers and musicians. Floor is the best in many peoples view. I tend to agree.

This whole concert at Wacken is tremendous. Floor sings at this level the entire time and does not miss a note. If you keep following Gabriel Bardac's list you can't go wrong. By the way, our Valkarie Floor is just over 6' tall and with her heels she is close to 6'5" on stage, just adding to her stage presence.

My favourite Nightwish song, Storytime is a story about stories and references so many stories from our childhoods in such a way that you remember every story you ever heard. Floors power and emotion is infectious and the music drives it home with a groove that only reinforces Floors voice, simply perfect

It always feels so good to see the smiles and the reactions on people's faces when Floor's sound is absorbed by the brain.
Her knowledge and experience with the vocal mechanism is unmatched on this planet. She knows what to put where and how much as well as her ability to tell the story which she finds extremely important.
Yes, to many she may be just singing but she is actually telling a story and expressing that to her audience, and she does it very well.
This song came early on in this show and they did Ghost Love Score as well as the 13th song on the setlist.... Yup, she hit that belt at the end like nobody's business and usually has enough in the tank for another 8 songs although this set was only 15.

It's one of their heavier songs and no opera parts, but you will be introduced to Marko Hietala, the viking looking fellow playing the bass guitar who was Floor's vocal match made in heaven. You will also hear Floor hit her highest recorded note in front of an 82,000+ crowd. I haven't checked personally, but I was told it was an F6. 🤘👍
Unfortunately Marko is no longer with the band. He expressed some disappointments with the music industry in an open letter he posted online on January 12, 2021. He said he was "leaving Nightwish and his public life". Most of his decision came from him admitting he was a chronic depressant and there were some things he was forced to walk away from that unfortunately were tied to the band. No one in the band to blame.

If you want to see her use her voice like one of the instruments you should check out 10th Man Down live in Buenos Aires 2018. Also Devil and the deep dark ocean is cool, same concert.

everyone has their favorite but I think my favorite live set is the 2018 Buenos Aires concert. of course the 3013 Wacken is awesome because you get the start of Floor's reign.
Very nice. I think you may find Floor to be the greatest and most versatile singer that we have ever seen. She does things that are just mind blowing. It's just a culmination of every thing we could ever want in a singer and also the things we didn't know we wanted. She is so far beyond anyone else out there right now that it isn't really fair.
