I first saw this intro while going to see elemental. The moment the new intro came on, the music actually made me shed a couple tears. I think it’s because it’s due to the nostalgia. What a time to be alive honestly, where Disney celebrates 100 years. What a milestone.
I'm surprised The Walt Disney Company made it this long. Disney is ceasing to provide alternate ways to watch their programming in favour of Disney+ and ESPN+. Australia and New Zealand have just 3 of their channels, and they don't even have Disney DVDs over there any more.
At first, I wasn't that fond of it, but now I'm thinking that that actually sounds like Disney preparing for their next century of wonder and 0:38 being the launching point to begin that next century. It's starting to grow on me. Then again, Christophe Beck can't do much wrong.

Yeah, where did the time go? Disney became a thing in 1923 but never had a feature-length movie until 1937 with Snow White. Now here it is 100 years later! I grew up watching some Disney classics in the 2000s, and even now I'm still revisiting the good old days. Also, next month, I'm gonna throw my own 100th anniversary celebration for Disney by going to Disney World!
I'm finding a bunch of things on the locomotive featured in the studio's opening logo. 1) The locomotive is nearly identical to Walt Disney World Railroad No. 4 "Roy O. Disney" with a bit of Walt Disney World Railroad No. 1 "Walter E. Disney" mixed in at the Magic Kingdom. 2) The pilot and driver wheels have the classic whitewall trims near the flanges of the wheels found on the real-life counterparts. 3) Both locomotives have a box headlight hanging over the edge of the smokebox. 4) The tender is mostly red with a black section on the sides holding the iconic WDW logo and "Walt Disney World R.R" text. This can be found on Walter's tender in real life, as well as Walter's entire paint scheme in real life. 5) The smokestack is a diamond stack featured on No. 1 "Walter E. Disney". The real stack Roy sports is a balloon stack, so this is a bit confusing. 6) The whistle sound featured in the logo is different from the Buckeye 3-inch 3-Chime or Crosby 3-Chime heard in the actual parks. Instead, it has more of a sound heard from whistles installed on live steam or grand scale locomotives. 7) The steam domes are also red and gold just like the real-life counterparts.
Always bring a tear to my eye. I believe Mr. Walt Disney would be proud of this version. What a wonderful man, did so much for people to enjoy themselves. ❤

This is an amazing logo, adds more to the modern logo with more triumphant music, and ends it with the shooting star making an arc over the castle and the name appearing at the bottom just like the old 90's one.
@@austinchris19 yes it has the good old train but the river is different. The castle is based of the cháteau d’usse in loire valley france. They made the castle looked like a concentric castle because when the camera pans from the waterfall tp the river you can see the castle’s polygonal structure. Speaking of the castle the river is isn’t the same.

There are two chances that this new introduction from 2023 will remain forever in 2024 1- During the star is floating after crossing the waterfalls, the castle is silver and the star passes by and makes the castle a normal color, they have to remove this silver castle at the beginning and keep it in normal color since silver is from a century old. 2- The letters animating "Disney 100" can be permanent, you just have to remove the number "100" and remain just "Disney" in 2024. Similar to the centennial introduction of Paramount's 100th Anniversary in 2012
The first time I saw this on the big screen was when I saw the Little Mermaid live-action film. It was alright, I guess, but it was nothing compared to the original. However, I saw this logo on the big screen again watching Elemental! I actually love that movie! I don't care how much negativity it gets; Pixar really knocked it out of the park with that movie!

The only good milestone that was showcased in its 100th anniversary celebration was "Once Upon A Studio" and that's pretty much it.
