The 2000s before 2009-2010 was like living in Post 90s almost but like made to be more nostalgic. Basically a generation where we saw technology and the world change dramatically in just 10 years. And here we are almost 25 years later and the feeling still remains the same. The thing is too is it’s been so long, it doesn’t feel like that long ago. Time is too fast.

I was an early 2010s kid, so many of these hit really hard. I grew up with 2000s tech because all the new stuff was too expensive. The only game console we had was a Wii, and the family computer. I remember playing all the Lego Star Wars games on the Wii every day with my family. 100% completed like 4 times over. Even when we got our first Xbox in 2015, I still played the Wii the same amount if not more. In fact, I still have that very same Wii to this day.
I feel the same way about 90's tech, since I was born in 1999. My earliest computer experience was on either Windows 95 or 98. My first game console was the Sega Genesis. We had a old, well at the time it was actually fairly new, but still old 90's CRT TV, and we also had for some reason a really old ass 70's or 80's TV, mostly made of wood, which made it unique. In addition to all of my 2000's era cartoons, I also watched stuff like Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, The Powerpuff Girls, and Dexter's Laboratory.
The 2000s really felt like a time of it's own. I was born in Sept 2002. I see my parents put in their CDs into the car to play their songs. My dad rent CDs and we watch movies on those bulky laptops. I played pinball on my mom's nokia N95. I smacked my toddler hands on our bulky ass TV when the screen goes static just like my mom did. I rode my tricycle with my neighbour's son. We both got a terrible tan but we're just kids. I remember ruining some empty CDs because they're like rainbows in my hands. The songs at the time were so danceable. You hear them in malls. Malls were so great, and their arcades aren't a scam but actually filled with enjoyable games to play. My aunts and uncles were pretty much in their early 20s so my experience with PS2-4 were from watching them. Watching movies on cable, whatever they put on that's okay for me to watch as well.

It's harder to be happy because of something you already have or could easily get.
