  • This is what I did to check why this Maserati would not start. I thought it was going to be the pyrotechnic fuse for the SRS system, but it turns out that somehow the 175 amp fuse was just not making good contact. This is why having a diagnostic process is so important to automotive repair is.
I hope you enjoyed following along as I went through my process. If you did, please consider liking and subscribing, and even leave a comment on how you diagnose no start issues. As always, thanks for watching.

I had to learn proper diagnostic skills long ago. I sometimes will forget my process when I get frustrated, but I have to cool down and start over. As you said, all nuts and bolts with a few wires. You have to understand the system if you want to successfully diagnose. If you don’t, you still might fix the car, but you won’t know why. That is why you will struggle again the next time. I tried to explain this over and over when I was an instructor. Some took it and ran with it, others just heard me and continued on the same way.

I would like to invite you to subscribe if you haven’t already. Right now I have to do lots of short form to stay up with the flow of videos, but I am trying to add in some actual informative stuff as well. That is really where I want to go with this channel. By the way, thanks for the comments.

Maybe you should verify that you do have power to the starter. It’s possible that the main power source cable is not connected at the battery. Those have a fuse for the starter cable that can be blown and the activation wire will still make the solenoid click but the starter won’t spin.
