Followed your video to replace the bad pump in my dad's car and I really appreciate how you went step by step and showed the diagram for the belt. When I had everything together I went back and found it to make sure the belt was routed corrected. Great video and I appreciate the clear instructions 👍👍👍
Thanks 🙏 for the video bro . My water pump just went out on my 2017 rt last night on the interstate. Going to try to replace it myself after seeing this video . 💪🏾
No sealant should be used with the pump gasket. If anything I fill the grooves with Fluid Film (lanolin), then place in the gasket. Reduces corrosion so less time cleaning the block when job has to be done again in another 30kmi. OEM or aftermarket, no one seems to make a decent pump for these so get one with a lifetime warranty and cross your fingers.
So true about any of these water pumps.. I go through changing these like tires on my 2008 CHARGER SRT8... I just add a light coat of permatek around the edges, and a light coat inside the grooves, and on the coolant spout/ heater hose that runs underneath the intake... Seems like after you take off the original water pump the car originally had .. you must you some type of sealant
GREAT instructional video sir.. I need to redo mine because the gasket is leaking... i did not use sealer with the gasket but i think RTV black in the canal will work ok. Thanks for posting and i will sub. Jeremy
AWESOME JOB GUYS!!! LOVE THE SOUND OF YOUR CHARGER. My 2014 charger water pump just went last week. We are stationed in South Korea 🇰🇷 and I have to order a water pump. This video made it so much easier. What website did you use?

Connect lower water pump hose to water pump before mounting water pump.Saves time fighting bottom clamp.
Also will not need to go under vehicle to fight that bottom clamp.
YES... I figured that out when trying to remove it ...hahah Big hassle if you don't....
glad i saw this before trying, it was honestly a breeze other than that its almost like they knew they'd be replaced frequently 😂

How many miles
Mine just hit 159
Beautiful car, beautiful dog. Appreciate the video & the tips from you & the people in the comments.
The fan comes out so easy, might try doing that to help with that hose on the bottom

I have already gone through 2 water pumps because one came out defective and the other one is leaking.

Man this video is absolutely amazing! I do have a few questions though because i think im gonna change mine next week
Great video and sounds amazing
Did your temperature gauge fluctuate before changing the water pump

Thank You! I'll be looking forward towards changing mine. Dug the test drive!.......
Thank you for the video bro! Very well explained! Question, did u pressure test and find the leak? Thx
Damn this is easier than replacing a toyota water pump, that bitc* need the timing chain off to get to the water pump. Thanks for this
nice review, i have a 2013 and mines not leaking yet but sounds like a frog in the front of engine. where did u purchase this water pump.
Sounds like air pockets
And you can buy em at any auto parts store. Got mine at an autozone
Be sure to use Mopar original pump new these tensioners are very torqued so much aftermarket pump won't last long 4 to6 months

I ordered mine from rock auto
Long beach in the house !!! Great video
what exhaust system does your RT have Sounds good
That’s one part for me. I need to remove a cracked timing cover plate on the same engine. Smh. Any advice?
How the hell you get the bleeder bolt out, I can’t budge it
And think some repair shops charge anywhere from $450 to $700 bucks to replace these water pumps
Those gaskets that come with the water pump are absolute trash. Failed on me twice. Stick with mopar or fel pro
Thanks for the video
How did you get a complete drain of the DI water? From the radiator? Seems like that would leave some water in the block and heater.
U got a beautiful pitbull lmao
No wonder this sht $700 at the shop to fix in Indianapolis 😢
You almost have 345 cubic inches of likes on this video
“Difficultest ones”… tell me your parents are siblings without telling me your parents are siblings 🤣🤣🤣🤣

got the catch can on ebay
Did the oring for the heater hose come with pump?
It is typically included, yes.
Good video but why mix it in a huge ass bucket 😂😂😂 a lot hassle
How did you know you needed a water pump?
i dont think he needed it just assumed it bc thats where the leak came from
Mines making a noise
@@rodricksherrod
Yea same here it’s leaking not too bad.
Is it a sin to use bars stop leak!
I just believe I have gasket issue. The pump is fine just intermittent leak! But if I remove it to replace gasket …… then I should replace it!
might as well replace it while you have off I don't remember but it didn't cost that much.
You do too much editing. Why are cutting the scenes constantly, that doesn’t make for a good repair video
Skill Diff
😂 turn out a mopar video
destilled water? Are you kidding?
Uhhh no…he clearly stated why. Regular tap water can cause deposits to form over time.
