I’m been riding with Royce since the days he was doing drive bye’s by himself! Straight Detroit Gangsta don’t let the suit fool ya! Very intelligent 🤓 tho a definition of a true Artist🎤
Yeah it is smart to claim someone a racist to try to push record sales I gotta give it to Em's jock strap he really figured out how to be relevant again lmao
Royce is the most well rounded hip-hop artist that's putting out music right now. He can keep up with lyrical powerhouses like Eminem, Black Thought, Crook, ect. on a technical level. He can match his cadence to that of street rappers like Griselda and Pusha T and not sound awkward or out of place (like Em did on that Conway joint). He just started making beats VERY recently and already produced an entire album that sounded like a veteran could have done it. Not to mention his content speaks on such a deep and personal level, he is an amazing story teller. Just the line "product of every single blood freckled Timberland" is a beautifully complex way of saying something so simple. The Allegory is the best hip-hop album since To Pimp A Butterfly in my opinion
Just a suggestion, but after you listen too the “ The Allegory “ go to. “Rock City” which his is debut album. N keep in mind that the album came out in 2000 then go to “Death is Certain “ which is a classic, it’s one of my favorite Royces album, it’s the album that turned me into a fan. then go to “Success is Certain” “Street Hop” “Layers” and at last “Book of Ryan” his discography is spotty at Best Buy I promise go by that list n you won’t be disappointed.
Also check out his debut with Slaughterhouse ( the shady debut is terrible) he also has a bad meets evil with Em which is also cool. And the PRyme series with Dj premiere is super dope too
This has got to be the best interview by a man that knows hip hop. We asked some great questions and I got to say I listened to his new album and wow what a great piece of work he has done.. Royce's works hard for his place in the history of hip hop and he just gets greater and greater.royces rap song are great man ..hey Royce da 5'9 💯 percent fire great interview..thanks for keeping me into some great songs.keep up the great work, cause it shows..
Nothing but jewels for the people who don’t know what they want to do in life. Don’t just take notes, implement this into your everyday life. It’ll make life a lil easier
Just a suggestion, but too anyone that hasn’t heard of Royce yet but want to check out his other stuff after you listen too the “ The Allegory “ go to. “Rock City” which his is debut album. N keep in mind that the album came out in 2000 then go to “Death is Certain “ which is a classic, it’s one of my favorite Royces album, it’s the album that turned me into a fan. then go to “Success is Certain” then “Street Hop” then“Layers” which his first album sober and at last “Book of Ryan” his discography is spotty at Best but I promise go by that list n you won’t be disappointed. He’s been one of my favorite for a long time. Super happy for in the space I see him in. He’s making the best music he’s ever made. Also check out his debut with Slaughterhouse ( the shady debut is terrible) he also has a bad meets evil with Em which is also cool. And the PRyme series with Dj premiere is super dope too
I can tell you're a real royce fan all those albums you named are 🔥 no doubt about it even that shady slaughterhouse album had a few bangers on it imo it's definitely mainstream but i wouldn't say the whole album is bad but i get your point about it.
Can't forgot the Bar Exam series. Mainly vol. 1 & 2. There's a best of the Bar Exam on Spotify but it's definitely not the best imo. Royce is at his best when teamed up with Preemo. Boom was what got him lit and the works with Preemo on Rock City and Street Hop are classic. Prhyme is next level genius to only sample 1 person for an album. Rocye was formerly known as the best kept secrect, I guess I just leaked it. BOOOM
Same here. Death is Certain made him my favorite rapper. "Ding" is one of my favorite songs its not on Death is Certain but its another gem. Him and Preemo.
brian mitchell Bar Exam 2 is my favorite mixtape from him, Bar Exam 1 has some gems in there as well, 3 was cool but I think he was too drunk to know what the hell was going on.another great mixtape is his M.I.C mixtape, those has some cool songs in there with his old crew. Him and Premo are a guaranteed classic a hits for sure, it’s a shame he never came up with anything great with Pharrell though. He really did have all the super producers at his door smh
K. Truell Ding! Is a classic, you get a chance RUclips “Heartbeat” it’s a Kanye produced track. Very dope song from him, his Destroy & Rebuild mixtape has a bunch of unreleased shit in there. The one on Spotify is not the same one I bought at an FYE back in the day but has a few of the same songs in there.
Royce is such a genuine, intelligent and just a good dude! Mad respect for him and it's awesome to see him blow up more and more as he ages through his craft.
Everything royce talked about with his father I went through EXACTLY the same thing, remember going to the rehab with him and he told me exactly the same thing. You are different, you will not be able to do this. I didnt listen unfortunately, 8 years clean for me as well.....Royce is the best version of himself right now and I can not think of anyone that can fuck with him in 2020. He is quietly creeping into the greats. Not to be debated
My Dad used to take me to his AA meetings and Adcare groups when i was in highschool. Gave me a reality check. Didn't stop me from drinking but i am completely aware now that if i don't remain in control of it, it could take control of me very easily
I’m A very, very, very passionate writer and I’m super into Hip-Hop and I can confidently say that Royce is one of my favorite to ever do it and I’m not gonna leave it vague. His bars are dope, but his effort really shows and that means A whole lot more to me than bars alone. The man is prosperous, “‘mature”, real, modern, etc...., without being A stan, i listen and “sponge” everything Royce has to offer these days.
someone has to say it but respect to you for understanding how much these artists get harassed with eminem questions. Shoutout eminem but royce and others are one of a kind and deserve their own Qs
Its not about him respecting his guest its that Adam knows a lot of his guest need him more than he needs them and most of the guest he interviews are young struggle rappers who have little to no media training so Adam has full control. Guest like Royce, Young Thug, JuiceWrld and other who have ton of clout and Adam needs them because they bring tons of views to his videos.
props to adam for doing one of the best conversation with royce and not blasting eminem related questions love that first time i ever watched ur interviews gotta say this is dope content man thank you
@@wafflew2232 I read somewhere where allegedly, it was some kind of racial slur. Key word allegedly. Either way, it's not the greatest of looks when you call out a former labelmate with no context as to why.
Royce's journey through the darkness actually helped me see my own faults and shortcomings in my life and in my relationship. When I learned about his struggles with self-medicating, cheating with multiple women and living a life of chaos and disorder I was forced to look at my own. That reflection sent me in a new direction and moved me to launch a men's program, focused on re-defining "manhood/masculinity." Thanks for doing and sharing this interview. This is good stuff.
Really digging this interview. I’ve been on a Royce kick for a while now. He’s such a thought provoking dude. And one of the best MC’s ever. Much love!
Been dealing with alcohol for a while now. Just woke up from a black out and clicked this video cause the album was fire and it was exactly what I needed to hear. God puts what we need to see in front of us
I viewed Royce as a great rapper I have a new found respect for him in a different light to see how much of a real person he is and so much more than just and artist.. I respect him 10x more now as a true real person keep doing the positive things Royce you gained more than a fan here

@@rosecity_chris I'm the same I heard it was yela's dj saying the N word not him, and apparently when royces artist spoke to yela about it, he more or less told him to harden up and he will have to get use to it if he wants to make in the industry. I briefly talked to his DJ Klever and he told me they dont even talk anymore, but this last year they back together. Its confusing lol

Adam22 is one of the most underrated interviewers in hip-hop, its so refreshing to hear a host who's actually listened to the album they're interviewing about!
Y’all see the different between this interview and most other ones he be having a these low life’s. They actually just having a conversation and not just asking questions he don’t even care about. This real.
I love the fact that this is the first Royce interview where he actually was asked questions that he had to think about. Just seeing a brilliant mind working gives me motivation.
Liquid Sunshine I agree, race relations really bubbled over during Ferguson and BLM, and that all happened during Obama’s term if we are being honest. Do I think one has necessarily anything to do with the other? No. The country will take it course regardless of the person in office.
The fact that Royce gets less views then some of these clout chasing children defies all logic. There is infinitely more to be learned from clicking on a Royce video then some kid talking about his guns and drugs..

I’m been riding with Royce since the days he was doing drive bye’s by himself! Straight Detroit Gangsta don’t let the suit fool ya! Very intelligent 🤓 tho a definition of a true Artist🎤
Royce is a very intelligent dude man. You gotta respect his mindset on how he handles shit. 1 of the few left that LEAD BY EXAMPLE. Much Respect
Yeah it is smart to claim someone a racist to try to push record sales I gotta give it to Em's jock strap he really figured out how to be relevant again lmao
Thank you for not putting Eminem in the title. Real one Adam, Real one.
Really solid interview Adam. Props
Way better with the hair adam👌🤷♂️
@Pulse Of The Maggots I honestly never seen his hairline look so good his hair looks nice and full
@Jeremy jazwinski same he must be using some type of hair growth product
@Jeremy jazwinski he should reply I feel like this is the top comment anyway lol
Pulse Of The Maggots he cute af
It's a wig
Royce is operating on a higher level of consciousness
not really, just reality
His higher level of consciousness it’s his time we all evolve differently at different times
We get a Royce Da 5'9 interview and an Eminem (Crooks Corner) interview on the same day 🔥🔥
🔥!
Adam with the nervous handshake in the intro xD
Definitely a bit femi
Yeh I wasent feeling em on the Conway song but he killed the fat joe song but yeh Royce for me is on a level with em if not better
He also wrote 'the message' on dres 2001 album fukn buzzed when i found tht out years later
Damn you got Royce to come on your show, that's awesome man. I love Royce, he's a very talented lyricist.
And producer!
@@noahnoir I just found that out yesterday, that man is on top of his game. He's a black Eminem
Glad I have spotify.
I'm going to have to listen to his discography.
I love how eminem was only talked about in the context of the album. Usually people ask only about eminem. I respect it Adam.
Keep delivering these kind of interviews. Salute No jumper! 👍🏽💯💯💯
I learned something new from every interview Royce been dropping
Royce is top five, every day of the week.
Was going down a 5'9" rabbit hole.
Came across no jumper.
Subscribed.
Dope!
Nothing but jewels for the people who don’t know what they want to do in life. Don’t just take notes, implement this into your everyday life. It’ll make life a lil easier
Royce puts his words together so eloquently, I could listen to this all day.
I had that same exact experience as well, and it played out exactly the same way in the end.
Christopher Mulvey no he isn’t lol
david gamino yess he is idiot
@@davidgamino6964 care to elaborate?
My Dad used to take me to his AA meetings and Adcare groups when i was in highschool. Gave me a reality check. Didn't stop me from drinking but i am completely aware now that if i don't remain in control of it, it could take control of me very easily
Royce is in his prime right now and it's BEAUTIFUL to watch!
Rocye is way underappreciated. Long time constant O.G.
Nice work Adam. Very insightful. Hopefully Royce puts a good word in for that Em interview!
royce my dude. he overcame
Nothing but jewels from Royce. As genuine as they get. Great interview.
The way he smiles talking about em, that’s real friendship
someone has to say it but respect to
you for understanding how much these artists get harassed with eminem questions. Shoutout eminem but royce and others are one of a kind and deserve their own Qs
You can always tell when adam actually respects a guest. Haven't seen a hr+ interview in a while.
The punch interview was an hr + check it out
Its not about him respecting his guest its that Adam knows a lot of his guest need him more than he needs them and most of the guest he interviews are young struggle rappers who have little to no media training so Adam has full control. Guest like Royce, Young Thug, JuiceWrld and other who have ton of clout and Adam needs them because they bring tons of views to his videos.
That outfit is fresh af, Color coordinated from the glasses to the jacket.
Love this interview Adam 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
He’s got a 2 finger ring shaped like a goat 😂😂 💯
Terry The Chunin yet hes not or nowhere close to being the goat
Gholla87 Royce would be in the top 10 lyricist conversation
Hes a goat
@@Gholla87 shut up
First time watching your vids, and I read the comments before hitting play .And damn they convinced me to sub before I watched you talk.
Royce might be the only rapper I've seen on this that can actually string a sentence together fluently
props to adam for doing one of the best conversation with royce and not blasting eminem related questions
love that
first time i ever watched ur interviews gotta say this is dope content man
thank you
I hope you do more interviews with serious artists like this. Good shit.
Love that you are getting some old school on here. Much love brother. And the pinned comment is dope!!!
Come on with the "it's private" when talking about Yelawolf.
Royce made it public by doing a song and video speaking on it.
It will come out eventually bro, it always does
Time stamp please
@@wafflew2232 I read somewhere where allegedly, it was some kind of racial slur.
Key word allegedly.
Either way, it's not the greatest of looks when you call out a former labelmate with no context as to why.
Yup Royce should of never said anything, if he not about explaining.
@@CrayzMark exactly
Royce's journey through the darkness actually helped me see my own faults and shortcomings in my life and in my relationship. When I learned about his struggles with self-medicating, cheating with multiple women and living a life of chaos and disorder I was forced to look at my own. That reflection sent me in a new direction and moved me to launch a men's program, focused on re-defining "manhood/masculinity."
Thanks for doing and sharing this interview. This is good stuff.
Saw Royce at a show in Detroit after I had a comedy gig,it was when Bad meets Evil 2 came out and he was a little drunk but still rocked the house
No doubt
Bad meets evil 2 ??
@@krowzzzzz9050 Yup. Look it up if ya need to!
WolfWould been listening to em some 2000. Never heard of bad meets evil 2. There have hell: the sequel. And original bad meets evil
@@krowzzzzz9050 Semantics. Either way. It was a good show.
Great interview! Royce is super cool and humble! Love his music!
Royce a legend
This was a good interview adam. These are the type of people you need to interview. People that offer something interesting or have personality
Royce, one of the most underrated PURE RAPPERS of his era, if not ever.
Really digging this interview. I’ve been on a Royce kick for a while now. He’s such a thought provoking dude. And one of the best MC’s ever. Much love!
Can't get that sample on Overcomer out of my head
Thank you for this Adam!
Finally a real mc in here NICKEL!!!!!
Been dealing with alcohol for a while now. Just woke up from a black out and clicked this video cause the album was fire and it was exactly what I needed to hear. God puts what we need to see in front of us
H-Town 🤘🏾🤘🏾 love tha shout out to Trae tha Truth
I viewed Royce as a great rapper I have a new found respect for him in a different light to see how much of a real person he is and so much more than just and artist.. I respect him 10x more now as a true real person keep doing the positive things Royce you gained more than a fan here
"My Karma is instant" spoken like a true Cancer. On a side note, finally an interview without the too many Em questions.
Yeah we've heard enough about eminem. And these interviewers ask the same questions, so it's not like were getting any new information about him
@@elijahblack7167 because most questions about Em are asked to his haters. Also @OP "instant" and "cancer" don't go together. The suffering of cancer is long as painful. Nothing instant about it. Do you know anything about cancer?
Royce is an absolute legend..love listening to him rap and even more articulate himself about all the different subjects. Salute
W for Adam for this interview
The Allegory is 🔥 thank you 4 this interview
I wanna hear yela come on the show now. Just to get both perspectives
Royce still said nothing in all honesty.
@@hollowman3227 I think that's kinda why I want yela on here...I want more info. Either that or I want them to patch things up and drop some fire. At the same time if it was racial I just want to know so I can decide if I want to continue supporting yela or not.
@@rosecity_chris I'm the same I heard it was yela's dj saying the N word not him, and apparently when royces artist spoke to yela about it, he more or less told him to harden up and he will have to get use to it if he wants to make in the industry.
Not sure how reliable that is after all the source was vlad TV and he has past record of getting shit completely wrong 😕
@@hollowman3227 I mean I believe it just based on where yela lives and SOME (not all) of the type of people hes around. I remember when yela went through that shit with the rebel flag and it took Big KRIT talking to him to get him to tone it down. Hella unfortunate. I also remember when Yela went crazy and changed his stage name to MWA and joined Hieroglyphics. I wanna hear more about that too, like did Hiero really put him in the group or what? I briefly talked to his DJ Klever and he told me they dont even talk anymore, but this last year they back together. Its confusing lol
Sezz Boss I do believe he asked Em if he wanted him to take MGK off the song because it was already recorded when the beef started and Em said, nah man, don’t do that it’s all good.
Yelawolf is amazing the albums he drops never miss. He's straight 🔥 💯
“We do as the romans do” True we need to stop being followers in society
Adam22 is one of the most underrated interviewers in hip-hop, its so refreshing to hear a host who's actually listened to the album they're interviewing about!
Shout out to Adam for making this interview about Royce instead of just asking about eminem and others
Gteat interview!! One of the best , dude you are such a prolific person , keep it up
One step closer to that Em interview we all know you've been dreaming of
Lmao I’m pretty sure Adam didn’t even listen to Eminem like that
@@deadeyedblack2350 Adam is a fan of eminem tf u smoking 💀
house whut? Adam22 has always been a fan, and knows Em is the goat. He loved kamikaze
This is a royce interview, not Em.
Dont treat royce as a stepping stone to an Em interview.
That's disrespectful man, you're one of those dumb Em stans who don't show Royce the respect he deserves.
only heard about this guy on twitter on some bullshit posts, never thought i'd see him interview Royce - and it was actually great!
Royce is such a gem
Well done interview Adam! You did legit preparation for this one and it showed 👌🏼 👍🏼
I want a Yelawolf No Jumper interview
Wheres he talk about Yelawolf, cause Vlad talked a bunch of bullshit
Same, I wanna hear both sides. Can't claim Yelawolf is a racist just cause someone we never seen or heard told Royce so.
Liquid Sunshine I agree, race relations really bubbled over during Ferguson and BLM, and that all happened during Obama’s term if we are being honest. Do I think one has necessarily anything to do with the other? No. The country will take it course regardless of the person in office.
Well I had about given up on this channel. First video I’ve clicked on in 2020. We need MORE of this kind of content.
The fact that Royce gets less views then some of these clout chasing children defies all logic. There is infinitely more to be learned from clicking on a Royce video then some kid talking about his guns and drugs..
Facts bro
Love this interview💯💯
Finally a Royce x Westwood interview.
phenomenal interview adam ,you showed me a different side of you, good stuff
