I have been making popcorn my whole life, I primarily used an air popped machine, but after 20+ years my machine died, and I have not found its equal on the market. This tutorial gave me the most tender, fluffy and wonderful flavor of popcorn from my childhood! Thank you for sharing these tips
Did they stop making the air popped machine you used in the past? 😫
Worked perfectly as described. Would you believe it? At 68, making my FIRST batch of popcorn the old fashioned way, using oil instead of hot air. Excellent.
I'm 65 and this was my best pot of popcorn too!!
You can also use no oil in the stove if you don't like oil
Me too; 64, Been popping it wrong for 50 years. Every kernel popped, and very big and puffy.
I'm 35, and I will keep you informed when I do mine. lol
Love how direct, concise and to-the-point this video was!!!! Too often, recipe sites and videos spend forever on their pre-rambling. You give us what we're looking to find and I appreciate that lol
Never in my life, I had all my popcorn popping without failure this well!!!! Resting the popcorns in the pan for a minute really worked. Thanks!
Mine are sparkling white
I've always hated stove popcorn as I always burn it. And today i managed to pop every single kernel without burning. Thank you so much for those great tips
Aw, that makes me so happy! Thank you for letting me know!
Seriously, thank you so much. I tried to make some old-school popcorn a few months back and I burnt the heck out of it and my house smelled for days. I followed your guidance, and now I'm eating a delicious big freaking bowl of popcorn. Thank you! No more microwaved bags of corn for me.
Glad I could help! ✨

Literally perfect popcorn thank you so much for this video
This is THE best way to make stove top popcorn. I’ve tried 3 times so far and have had 99% popped corn! You must take the pan off the stove for the break especially if you have an electric stove (residual heat).
Tip for nonstick:
- add oil to nonstick and heat with the tester kernels
For stainless:
Heat pan first EMPTY for at least a minute. Splash a few drops of water. It should bead off. It it takes more than a second to sizzle, it’s not hot enough yet. When splash test shows the pan is ready, drop the oil to coat the pan. Add tester kernels and shake. And follow steps in video.
Hope this helps!
Love the detail you put into this. Down to knowing the smoke points of certain oils. Well done 😊
Wow! That actually worked. No scorching or burnt popcorn! Thank you very much!
These instructions were precise AND accurate! First time making it on my stove and didn't burn it. I will forever use this method!
Thank you, I made popcorn from the scratch just watching you for the first time and it came out very good and fluffy. No burns noted.😊
You changed my life with this video ❤
Your butter passion tells me I can trust you
This is the kind of detail I was looking for. Thanks for the excellent video!
I had to use my cast iron pan but I followed your directions and it worked so well! Perfect popcorn - thank you!

Thank you! I just burnt most of my kernels and went straight to youtube and found this for next popcorn making ❤
Me and my gf just made some using your video! Thanks so much 😊 very straightforward and we went down the rabbit hole, she's looking up popcorn recipes now lol
My husband and I tried making stovetop popcorn without a tutorial yesterday and they just weren’t as crunchy and the kernels left a weird residual texture in the mouth after eating. This tutorial is so easy to follow and the popcorn turned out perfect!! Thank you so much!!
By the way, I highly approve of your cultured vocabulary. It adds flavor to the video like cultured butter to popcorn!
That turned out to be way easier than I expected. Thank you.
Girl! That’s a perfect system!❤
Girl, thank u. My first bowl of perfectly popped popcorn ever. No more Redenbacher for me.
Worked like a charm! Used coconut oil and it seems divine 😋

I was a doubting Thomas, but your method works. Thanks!!!
My first stove popped popcorn and my family loved it
It actually worked so well... Thanks for the tip !
Thank you for sharing. I always make my popcorn on the stove the same way my dad did it. One thing I still do just like he did is to pour the popcorn into a large paper sack, pour the butter in and add some salt. Once done, fold the top of the sack down and give it a good shaking. Turns out so good.
Thank you so much. Did it for the first time and it’s delicious
It worked flawlessly.
wow, before i watched this video, i always burned my popcorn. now they are perfect every time
SO TRUEEEE!!!
Very well done. Worked perfectly. I add butter, sugar and cinnamon.Outta this world.
Yours was the first video I found that said high heat so was a little skeptical. Holy crap this worked well, so much better than the other videos I followed. Thank you so much.
This is the way.
Thank you!
Thanks for this. It worked perfectly.
I just tried this method using ghee and measuring half the amounts; it was PERFECT 🎉
Thank you so much 🤗
Just wow!!! I like to make popcorn over the stovetop only. Unfortunately, before today, I have never had such great success in making it. Today, I hardly had any kernels left un-popped. Add to it that not a single kernel burned. Thanks a ton for this video - this is the best video I have seen for this.
Sharing what I did. I took a couple teaspoons of cold-pressed organic coconut oil to the pan and heated it at a high setting for a minute. I added a couple kernels as you suggested and followed the process until all kernels popped (just the same way as in your video). While the pan was cooling down, I made a mixture of virgin olive oil, onion powder, pink salt, finely powdered black pepper, turmeric, and lemon-pepper salt, and stirred it well. I drizzled this over the popcorn and mixed it well before savoring it hot and delicious!!!
really nice guide! I always burned everything but with this way of pre heat I did not burn any, didn't expect it to go well in my first try
Thanks for fully explaining this. Now I know how to avoid unpopped and burnt kernels
Thank you very much! Everything worked perfectly!
This was amazingly helpful! It was my first time making popcorn and since mom usually makes it i decided to try myself :> definitely subscribing

Hope I saw this clip before burning my pot, lol. Thanks a lot. Gonna have me some popcorn tonight!
yep. might have made the finest batch of popcorn ever. thanks. the trick is the ghee for best flavor and to let the kernels warm up before placed back on stovetop. thank you.
Thanks it works really ❤
I made my today and it was amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much for this, my first time actually not burning the kernels 😂
These tips worked. I've been making popcorn for years but they always tend to be dry. I hardly burn my popcorn unless am unattentive to the pop. But following each step not a single kernel got burnt. Very nice soft texture and also non oily.
I used 2 Tsp butter, 2 Tspn sugar as I was craving some slightly sweet popcorn (not a big sweet tooth)
Hell yeah brother thanks for showing me the way
I like the fact that you have good information. I just don't understand why when I come to get information the 2-minute instruction becomes 30 minutes of everything else in between.
Thanks.. I'm eating slightly burnt popcorn as I write this and after I get the pot clean I'll try it your way tomorrow
That was really helful thank you ❤
IMPACTFUL. For the next generation, I predict that this is how America and the world will be making popcorn
Good instructions matter. God bless you and your channel. Amen
This helped. Thanks 😁
I got gourmet popcorn as a gift for Christmas and finally got around to cooking it. It has been a least 20 years since I made popcorn on the stove. I said I got this, how hard can it be. I got out my Dutch oven poured enough oil to cover the bottom of the pot and added just a little more, just to make sure. Then I added the popcorn, enough to cover the pan, and put it on medium heat. Nothing happened so I added more oil, and put the heat up a bit. Finally, I heard the first pop, see it's going to be great. Another 5 minutes later I had about 20% of the kernels popped and then the silence, so I took it off the heat and poured it into a bowl as 2 more kernels popped on the floor( what a waste I thought). The only thing that made it edible was the extra butter I poured over the few kernels that popped. At least I remembered not to pour it in one spot. Now it's time for RUclips, next time I'll do it your way! Thanks for a great informative video, you have a great channel.
Update:
Followed your direction today ...Perfecto!
Thanks madame, just followed your instructions and succeeded in making my first perfect popcorn .my compliments.victir MALTA.

Thank you.
thank you ! my poppy was perfect!
If you grind the salt with coffee grinder to a powder, it can cover the popcorn more evenly.
Popcorn perfection!!!
It works! Thanks @Buttered Side Up
