the earlier CVA lathes where almost a copy of the monarch 10ee, I believe there was some sort of wartime lend-lease deal done, the later CVA lathes look different but many of the parts where similar or the same, really nice machines to use, I've been a machine tool dealer for nearly 30 years and I keep a couple of these for my workshop
Looks like a great example, CVA toolroom lathes are very good. The DSG in the background though, much more what I would like to have if I had the room.
@@joecorner8974 I have a decent1307x40 that has replaced an older 13x42 that I'm currently trying to sell on. They are wonderful lathes, top tier level with a select few others.
absolutely, one of the machines I regret selling over the years was a type 25 x 144, I kept it for a few years but it was a bit on the long side for anything I was doing @@dutchgray86
Thats a really nice looking lathe. I like that big dial on the cross slide. just looks like a well built machine .
