A lot of folks pegged Nem as the Megaera analog of Hades 2...But based on this and depending on how things go, I think she might be more like for Mel what Hades was for Zag.
Y'know, I felt this too. I think the relationship between Mel and Nem is different from Zag and Meg if you ask me. It could still work, but the develop looks rough since Nem views Mel as a lapdog to Hecate.

If Nem and Mel were going to work, they'd have to agree on a few things or two. Which could happen and has already kinda happened. Mel went to Hecate and stated she worked hard too.
If I could be honest nemesis to Mel is more like Alecto then megaera, someone who will always be on Mel’s case and will take the entire game just to get a respectful compromise out of the two.
She says it in the most asshole way possible but she does have a point about Hecate sending Mel on foot alone. That's kinda hm. Actually she makes a lot of good points
Mel does sound like the perfect distraction to keep Kronos busy, she is incapable of properly dying.From Hecate's point of view, I don't think she currently expects of Mel to truly deal the finishing blow.But she does expect from Kronos to use his powers to try and stop her, meaning that by keeping the big ol' scythe sociopath busy, the gods have another advantage point in their stake against the Titans! Also, she would perhaps reveal their hideout if she magically transported her in the middle of Kronos' forces.

Mel in all senses - did nothing to invoke such consequences. Unlike Hecate who failed (hence Nem's argument with her) or Nem herself cause it's her job, Mel's only "crime" was being born to Hades and Pesephone. What did she do to deserve dying a billion times to get a shot at fighting Chronos, which to the characters, she might not even win? Why does she have to bear this struggle, and alone at that? Not saying I agree with Nem's POV (it's obvious she doesn't have the faith in Mel's capabilities the way Hecate does) but it's a fascinating insight into a very contrarian character and it proves she's not just simply a Hater, but coming from a certain POV
Right, she wouldn't have a reason to exist if her POV was false. and I wouldn't be surprised if Nemesis would have specific dialogues addressing what you said. Ofc, the players are aware of the nature of the game, but when Mel and Nemesis find out the Task involved repeatedly slaying Chronos time and time again, the question does arise, Does Mel deserve this? and I have a feeling Hecate knew Mel would be held captive to this Task forever.
I think one of the most interesting things is when Nem talks about Chronos. I think its fascinating to see how Nem is so sympathetic towards Mortals while Meli is incredibly dismissive towards them. Considering how the Olympic gods have been consistently awful to mortals... Maybe Nem isn't entirely wrong to wonder if they deserve this.
That dialogue hit me the most, I had to pause there, unexpected how self-aware Nemesis was here. We could say she’s sympathetic, more specific to deserving mortals, but her hobby is sniffing out and crushing the “bad” mortals. Passionate was a word I was thinking for her ^ I’m curious how much he says about the Golden age were true. Hecate implies it’s a lie, but Nemesis claims the intent might’ve been genuine.

You may like Pseudo from Clash: Artifacts of Chaos and Cherry from Cookie Cutter. Both games from 2023 with protagonists who speak their mind and just get out there to get things done. Both are *very* strong artistically with solid gameplay, but Cookie Cutter is a lot more bloody and brutal. Clash: AoC is a bit more grounded, but kind of like if a Dark Crystal-type world was a martial arts movie.
I honestly kinda like how Nemesis points out that Chronos' rule was better for humans and how she contemplates how it might be just retribution for the Gods to be subjugated by him. I mean, considering all the atrocities the gods are responsible for putting humanity through, even if it's just specific humans to sparking entire wars, they do deserve some retribution in turn for what they've made people suffer through.
I agree with this take ^ assuming Chronos's Golden Age was truly better for mortals, Nem has some moral conflict going on. Chronos has done awful things, but the gods had their fair share of sins too. Nem is in a tight predicament.

She definitely does remind me a lot of Meg I guess it might be because of the sultry ness in her voice. Plus she seems like a very serious type of woman. Definitely what Meg was. They took both their jobs very seriously. And neither of them had a really close relationship with their siblings.
She has a lot of similarities to Meg ^ I think where she differs, she honors Nyx specifically, rather than the House. Meg was very obedient under Hades and Nyx, who wouldn't even strike Hades if Zag would call for her aid initially. I believe Nemesis would go out of her way disobeying orders if she found it more productive.

Anybody notice certain characters you meet are wielding weapons zagreus used in the last game. Nemesis is using a sword zag used.
You're right that it's from the last game. One of Zag's sword can become the Aspect of Nemesis, it's highly likely Nemesis reclaimed her sword back.

She definitely does remind me a lot of Meg I guess it might be because of the sultry ness in her voice. Plus she seems like a very serious type of woman. Definitely what Meg was. They took both their jobs very seriously. And neither of them had a really close relationship with their siblings.
She has a lot of similarities to Meg ^ I think where she differs, she honors Nyx specifically, rather than the House. Meg was very obedient under Hades and Nyx, who wouldn't even strike Hades if Zag would call for her aid initially. I believe Nemesis would go out of her way disobeying orders if she found it more productive.
