i bought this rifle because nutnfacy convinced me. i am so happy with my new toy. i shoot targets 200 yrd in 1" groups or less. no joke. thank you nutnfacy for your gun knowledge.

Sam Coren yeah. you need your most important keywords in the title, descrption AND tags. ranks higher... however, nutnfancy gets so much watch time he'll rank high enough without having to do all that.
Just shot mine for the first time, the purchase was made due to a recommendation from an army guy and then I seen this video. 100 rounds down range and a broken sight later, I've decided the rifle is a beast of power (shoulder agrees) and I love it. Groups were tight and not even a hint of a malfunction through several types of ammo.
Thank you, loved your review. Very very helpful. I'm in the market for an AR 10. I've been leaning towards the M&P 10. Mainly because I have a M&P 15. But as I shop around there is so many choices. It's hard to decide. Now the choice is clean. Now I can buy with confidence. Today is the day. Thank you again.
Dang nutn, you're almost at 500,000 subscribers. As far as I can see you and your crew are the real deal. Crew meaning family to include Allie and others that help you setup, take down, loan equipment for reviews and whatever assist with "filming". Been enjoying a lot of your videos everything from krvs, grvs, wrolvs to family time education. I feel I have gained a lot from your videos. I know you are not perfect but happy to see you keep it real. Thanks for your active duty service as well as the service you continue to provide to educate the public. Keep up the good work.
nutnfancy Merry Christmas Nut'n. Re:"Quid/Vid-pro-quo". As a noob it's been really helpful to have a trusted go-to resource for quality advice on gear. I don't have the background to be able to wade through all the BS vids out there. I appreciate what you're doing for the gun community and for TNP'ers. Thank you for not selling out.
This S&W M&P10 is extremely accurate. I found the right ammo and it will shoot bullets into the same hole one after another. Amazing gun, definite buy for anyone on the edge.
Your reviews, are the best - period. Don't always agree with certain points, but they are always valid, and most importantly as a whole, I've never been let down by one of your reviews. Thank you.
Everyone seems to rag on about the long reviews. I happen to appreciate them, simply because he's the only You Tuber doing it. Sometimes I'm all for the Reader's Digest version of a review; sometimes I need more.
doro19 Yeah, people always act like they want shorter, but if I want to get quick specs I'll just read the pamphlet, ain't mainlining the text to your brain so much faster than listening to it? -TD
This is going to be my next purchase. I purchased the M&P 15 Mid MOE after seeing your video about AR's for $1000 at Gunnies and couldn't be happier. I have kept the M&P 15 all stock and added a primary arms 4x prism scope and with hornady 75 gr match ammo I have no problem getting sub MOA accuracy at 100 yards. At 200 yards I am able to get 5 shot groups between 1 to 1.5 inches. If I had a more powerful scope I'm sure I can get my groups to 1 inch or tighter at 200 yards. So far I have shot targets from 50 to 600 yards and the rifle and the primary arms reticle are dead on.The only thing I don't like about Smith & Wesson is there parts support. But if anything needs to be replaced I'll just buy the part else where.
We still love your written description and likeability scale in each of your video reviews! The nice, to-the-point and objective details in the description is like icing on the cake for your great videos. :) And thanks showing us a good .308 option on a comfortable AR-15 platform. If only it wasn't pricey compared to the .223 version, but that's expected when making a well made firearm that can take the ammo.
I stumbled on this review while looking up the specs for the M&P 10 for my video review. Smith and Wesson actually has it on their site. I looked for a review from nutn when I bought my M&P 10, but there wasn't one at the time, but I'm glad I bought it! Everything I have experienced is very similar to what is in this review. I did have a few issues with specific brands of ammo, which I talk about in my review, but those were the 150 gr FMJ rounds, so maybe that's the difference. Thanks for the review nutn, reaffirmed why I bought the rifle, plus got me excited about taking it out long range!
Love your videos as always nutn! I think we would ALL love to see a "free float: is it worth it?" review where you take a rifle, test it for accuracy with various rounds like you do, then put a free float rail on it to see what, if any, accuracy is improvement is made. I have a CMMG AR which I love, and it shoots around 1 MOA with my handloads (just cheap 55 gr plinkers) without a free float barrel and I am thinking I'll just get the magpul forend.
Nutn hopefully you read this and decide to do a review on the Sig Sauer 716 patrol rifle. The 716 is chambered in .308 and is piston driven. Nutn I am sure you will fall in love with the 716 after you do your testing on it. Nutn if you do decide to do a review on this rifle make sure you get the latest version with the dual ejectors on the bolt face. Even though there was nothing wrong with the original 716 the dual ejector model just adds to an already amazing rifle. Thanks Nutn and God Bless.
17:28 you are spot on, you are not going to shoot a 4140 barrel out. if you did you would have spent so much on ammo you are probably loaded or sponsored and don't care about the cost of replacing a few hundred dollar barrel. I'd go so far as to say you really shouldn't worry about barrel material too much they are easily replaced and the amount of abuse modern barrels can take is very good.
Totally agree with the call on the Nikon 223 scope. I have the M&P 15 Sport...really like. I think I will have to save up for this 308 system. Keep up the quality work Nut...really good stuff!
Just shot my new mp10 today and I really like it. Watching your reviews on this rifle is what made me go ahead and buy it. It liked the federal 150 gr soft point a lot. Could you please review some midrange spotting scopes? Thanks man for all the hard work that goes into these videos they are much appreciated.
I live in canada and this gun is restricted, it looks so bad ass and accurate, I will surely jump through all the hoops to get my hands on your build! It's amzing and thanks for all the great videos.
Always enjoy watching your videos. I've always enjoyed fishing, hunting and just spending time outdoors. I've never been into AR style rifles but this past years I've begun putting some together. I chuckle with your comment about buying parts every month and hiding it from the wife. That's been my strategy so far. Hit the nail right on the head.
FYI: BCM makes an AR-10 larger charge handle that works fine on mine. I also bought my MP10 as a magpul edition for LE. Not sure I would want to change the current front configuration for a free float if it adds any additional weight - I would not foresee a good tradeoff between the two. Love this rifle!
Beautiful review, I've been looking for a good .308 AR platform. My use would be more in the line of a hunting rifle but I appreciate the effort you put into these videos.
Hey Nutn first tie commenting. I purchased this rifle about two years ago based on the knowlege I gained from watching you for so long. SAWC was my main concern as ar 10 s can get HEAVY. Glad to see you liked the rifle. Since purchase I installed a Gieselle SA E trigger cut barrell ( I know u wouldnt like that but for my pou the weight I saved going to 14.5 pinned and welded outwieghed the loss in velocity. It is still shooting sub MOA. Mag pul Stock and grip and Troy rail with surefire muzzle brake and a Vortex PST 2.5x10 on a leupold mount. This gun rocks. Mine can be finicky with shit ammo but not the guns fault. Just want to thank you for teacing me how to select gear and find value. I have learned alot from you bro. I am taking this thing out to the Black Hills Ammo Ranch this summer to learn how to shoot long range at a course I signed up for. Thanks for all the work you put into TNP bro. My EDC, my safe , and the safety of my family are all squared away since I started watching. Keep up the good work All the way sir , God Bless Brother Kevin Kelly MFD, 82nd Airborne Vet
excellent review! I took the advice and bought one (and an m&p 15 also) and have found nutnfancy's review is amazing. I am running the Nikon M-308 and love it (nutnfancy runs an m-223 Nikon/wasn't jazzed by the m-308) I use his reviews religiously when it comes to shooting. I haven't been let down yet! Thanks Nutnfancy! Being a former Marine 03 NCO with 8-years of service, I have shot literally THOUSANDS of rounds back in the 80's, but never thought about the firearm details. Now I don't need to! Nutnfancy has the details covered!
Hey nutn, I've been an avid viewer of your videos now for 4 years. I understand that you are very busy, however the gun community require one of your amazing reviews on a jp Enterprise rifle. Thanks for the amazing content. Big fan from Malawi Country in central Africa.
Looks like S&W's proud to see this review. They've got this video up on their page for the M&P 10. The more I look at this gun, the more I kinda want it over the DPMS's.
I have always enjoyed your reviews. This is the second gun I have purchased that you recommended. It was on sale at Grab-a-Gun for just under a thousand dollars but it is back up to $1,300.00 now. Thanks again for your reviews.
Thanks for all the hard work on this. I recognize these videos for what they are and what you have said all along; a valid data point. You show what the equipment is capable of and we get to decide if we like it or not. You don't have to be ex Navy Seal or Ranger to do a good review on the functionality of a rifle and give a perspective on its performance. Everyone's mileage may vary anyway. You putting 500 rounds through a rifle or 2 over a weekend is just as valid as some one else doing it, if we get to see every thing that happens, "warts and all". Which you have never hidden. Want to see more of Officer Jared. Would love to see a review of this newer DPMS GII type rifle with the changes to the bolt carrier group and how it works. I have seen some great test reviews on it and it looks to be a serious contender in the 308 BR class. Thanks again, G.
Nutn, loved the review. toward the end you listed the aftermarket accessories you were going to throw on the M&P10 (new trigger, low profile gas block, Troy free-floated rail, I think). Whenever you get around to putting those on, and I know you have a ton of stuff going on with this channel, would it be possible to get a brief update, just to see how the gun takes to those accessories and how easy it was to introduce them to the platform and how much better the rifle works with the new accessories. I thought that'd be kinda cool. Thanks again for the awesome material and keep up the good work!
Hey Nutnfancy, thanks for another great review. I have just gotten one of these rifles last month, and have only gotten to the range a couple of times with it. I have gotten nothing but tight groups with it, one ragged hole per 5 shot groups, at 25 yards. It was great to see it maintains its groupings at much longer distances. I'm really looking forward to getting outside, and trying some long range work with it too. I haven't tried anything lighter than 175 grain, so I really appreciate your advice on using heavier loads. Keep up the great work.
I bought this rifle on Nutns recommendation. I got to say that I love it so far. I have about 500 rds through it so far and it is a blast. It had trouble feeding at first but that was fixed by getting a new pmag gen 3. It will now shoot anything I put down her throat. I bought a free float for it so I can mount a bipod. I am looking at either an Odin or a Syrac adjustable to go under the handguard so I can run a can in the future. Thanks again Colonel.
Done and bought. Talked to a guy about buying his as it was for sale literally a day before you uploaded the video. This review just reimbursed my decision.
Was kind of hoping you were going to shot show this year.......really miss your no BS reviews. Love the fact you are not in anyones pocket!!! Are you going?
Hi from France, I like all your vids espacially the one on knives because guns are not in our traditions. Got a channel myself fandecouteaux to review knives for French people. You guys are lucky you get much better prices than we do. Merry christmas to you an family, continu people are watching you all over the world
thanks for the affirmation of my purchase!!!. i have one of the camo m&p 10's. never 1 failure!. I love TNP and have never been led astray. All you haters out there should be thankful Nutnfancy is puttin himself our there to help us all find good, quality stuff to help us get prepared. You all better listen to his philosophy vids as well. Thanks Nutn, YOU ARE #1 !!!!!

Can't wait for a long term review, and compared to other 308 rifles. 1:45 mark, I come into that basin all the time in our Wildcat UTV on that road !!!!!! Vehicles can't be seen in the shooting area until you crest the small hill. Great area to shank Practice brass :) Good for us we are there in the early AM vs later in the day.
Thanks for another great unbiased review brother. Been looking forward to a nice full length review lately, and this filled the bill. I'm a have to take a serious look at this gun when I get some $$$. Merry Christmas to all and god bless.
I bought one this year, replaced the hand-guard with a Magpul MOE, added a Timney two stage trigger and mounted a SWFA Super Sniper 3x9 scope with a Bobro mount. I installed a Magpul MOE Rifle Stock without issue. I am waiting for a Harvester 7.62 suppressor. It's pretty sweet but getting that Magpul hand-guard on there was a booger. I tried to get it off to put a JP Enterprises free-float hand guard... and gave up. I'll try again some rainy weekend. It (Magpul MOE) was tight enough putting it on that I had to file some edges to make it fit. It didn't occur to me that to remove it would REALLY be hard.
I held the M&P 10 a few months ago and almost made an impulse buy, but I was going to wait to see if you were going to review it first. Looks like I should have followed my impulse....
I could not agree more. I know Nut'n you always laugh at people who want you to vindicate their purchases. But in this case I appreciate the validation because I have an m&p 10 with troy rail and it is lighter than some of my friends ar15s.
Ryan Coryell It's cool when people validate the purchase, but I kind of like using stuff he doesn't approve of; then when we do field trips my 'crap' gear doesn't wander off! -TD
Wow Nutn, congrats on the 500K subs! I bought the FN Scar 17s due to your review! Now I am going to have to go out and get an MP10! Merry Christmas ! Thanks for you service now and then. Captain USN (Ret)
Thanks for the great reviews I watch your reviews on guns I am looking at maybe buying. Your opinions are similar to mine on what I want out of a weapon. I don't do half of the stuff you do but I would like to. The closest I can get is to hunting, because of this review I looked into the m&p 10 magpul edition and today I bought one after careful research. Thanks for doing this review and keep up the good work, I can't wait to shoot my new rifle.
ScaleModelAlberta I keep trying on both, but he's not a huge fan of either. XCR seems to have a pretty heavy receiver and makes up for it with a pencil barrel, while the FAL is just old-school metal through and through. If he ever does do it, it'll probably struggle to get even 7/10 on both for his purposes. I still haven't held a fal since I was 8. -TD
I love mine and will probably buy another. diff rails and stock. pissed about the suppressor having a 762-sdn-6 +1 everything about the gun is quality.
I dont think Ive asked for any specific review but Id like to see you get your hands on a G2. Say vs a standard ar10. Been wanting to build an AR10 for a while. After reading some comments I see a lot of others want to see you do a G2 also. Keep doing what your doing love all the vids.
long time subscriber here, LOVE your thorough reviews and attention to detail for the truth as you see it. I have always been from the "AK over AR" camp [not to cause a controversy or debate, just saying] and I think your review is pushing me over the fence. Keep your earmuffs handy...my wife will be cursing you LOL
druid189189 Why not both? It's expensive, but it's not like you got to buy them all at once....just one part a month. She'll never notice. Just keep your builds hidden behind a rita hayworth poster and the marital warden will never know. -TD
+albert marian gamer So ... Finally I finished getting my M&P 10 set up and ready to go .... and my work schedule relaxed a bit and I was able to get myself to the range . Holy crap ! Nutn was spot on with his evaluation of this rifle ! This is one fine rifle folks ! Fit and finish is superb .... great balance ... and VERY accurate ! My first session was basically free handed and prone . I installed a Nikon Prostaff (40 mm ) and did a quick bore sighting prior to heading out ... loaded up with a few Hornadey a max and was getting some very tight groups at 40 yards . I've since purchased a lead sled and my next trip is gonna be a lot more intense while I fine tune my optics . I do plan on gettin' video of it as well . Listen to Nutn .... buy yourself one !!
+albert marian gamer Not yet . The range goes out to 600 yards where there's a "gong" .I plan on ringing that sucker ... but good ! I have no doubt it'll reach .I just needed the lead sled . A precision rifle needs requires a precision set up and a steady hand right ? I'll say this also .... the M&P's were selling like hot cakes at the local gun shop .... I witnessed 6 other purchases while I was there that day . The shop owner said top notch ... both the M&P 10 & 15 's . He sells more of the 15's though .... easier on the wallet for most folks .... but he AR 15's feel like a pea shooter compared to this .
Thanks for this one Nutnfancy. I'm not quite in the market as yet for a precision .308, but like all gun junkies I am already pondering the options. =)
Mr. Nutnfancy: Thank you so much for your time and effort in firearm and product reviews. Here's my story. I am on my second M&P 10 after a manufacturing issue with the lower. Bought the first one in October and after many emails and phone calls to SW received a warranty replacement in early December. I noticed a it of barrel flex on my M&P 10 and was wondering if you noticed the same? Mine is all stock with the exception of an m4 UTG Handguard Picatinny rail on the lower handguard and Command Arms Three Medium Rails mounted on the upper hand guard. I would like to know your opinion and again thanks for your time and effort.
Thanks for the in depth detail on the barrel profile,.. after the close up look it really is a bit deceiving,..Yep, I'm a little stuck up on that bit of detail too,...LOL Thanks for the review Nutn'...
cool gun.good review, thanks bro.just built bushmaster 308 moe with timney trigger , syrac low profile adj gas block, free floated bcm foregrip, sjc comp.Got the syrac from your buddy jp.
Great Video. Just in time for delivery of my S&W M&P 10. I was a little concerned about your findings on the reliability when using a Gemtech Suppressor. Fortunately, I have the Gemtech 300WM which function flawlessly after a 100 rounds. Could be the difference between the design and length of each suppressor. Just an FYI
I was thinking about building an AR10 with my son and I still might, but this dude could be worth buying. I dislike ending up with a bunch of useless furniture after I've Magpul'd it up, though.
this video is linked on the Smith & Wesson's page for this rifle!!!
S&W continues to produce amazingly reliable, high-quality rifles. They don't get enough credit for what in incredible value they offer.
I love on those long shots, the spotter says "hit" and then we hear the sound of the plate afterwards. Science!
+Rags Thats due to the bullet hitting the target then the sound bouncing off the target and coming back to the shooter. Science
Cory ballinger I was commenting on the observational differences in the speeds of sound and light.
I don't know if I can afford to watch this channel much longer! : )
i bought this rifle because nutnfacy convinced me. i am so happy with my new toy. i shoot targets 200 yrd in 1" groups or less. no joke.
thank you nutnfacy for your gun knowledge.
IMHO Smith & Wesson is currently, consistently, producing the best firearms money can buy.

Still one of my fav vids you've ever done, Nutn...I've rewatched several times. Keep it up, man...you've got alot of fans.

I ended up going with the Armalite and it's been perfect so far. Figured I would save the 500 bucks and get a nice piece of glass..

Another fantastic video from the Nutnfancy compound. Thank you for all your hard work.
Keep up the good work
All the way sir , God Bless Brother

excellent review!
Gotta get one! Thanks Nutnfancy for another excellent, insightful, informative, thorough and truthful review!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to the TNP crew and all the viewers.
Separate review of the M&P15 MOE please! Thanks for the great reviews.
I just bought an m&p10 but with the compliant heavy barrel NOT the pencil barrel. Absolutely love it
Hey Nutnfancy, thanks for another great review.
I have just gotten one of these rifles last month, and have only gotten to the range a couple of times with it.
I have gotten nothing but tight groups with it, one ragged hole per 5 shot groups, at 25 yards.
It was great to see it maintains its groupings at much longer distances. I'm really looking forward to getting outside, and trying
some long range work with it too.
If S&W will not sell replacement parts for this rifle, then why would you buy it.
Done and bought. Talked to a guy about buying his as it was for sale literally a day before you uploaded the video. This review just reimbursed my decision.
Thanks Nutn ive been waiting for the full length review of the m&p 10 and it didnt dissapoint.
Was kind of hoping you were going to shot show this year.......really miss your no BS reviews. Love the fact you are not in anyones pocket!!!
Are you going?
Bout time The M&P 10 review comes out

I just bought one from buds. Seriously. Thanks for the reviews. Appreciate everything you do.
Love the long, complete unbiased review!
Any plans to do a PTR 91 review?
ill 2nd that
Congratulations Nutn! 500,000 Sub's. No small achievement.
I love your videos and honesty. Some of your videos are expensive to watch if you know what I mean. Keep up the Good work bud
Thanks for another great unbiased review brother. Been looking forward to a nice full length review lately, and this filled the bill. I'm a have to take a serious look at this gun when I get some $$$. Merry Christmas to all and god bless.
Sweetness. Merry Christmas nutn from my family to yours.
Only a couple more subs to half a million! That's awesome! Merry Christmas tnp!
It didn't occur to me that to remove it would REALLY be hard.
my M&P10 has been flawless, great vid man
I held the M&P 10 a few months ago and almost made an impulse buy, but I was going to wait to see if you were going to review it first.
Awesome!! Great review nutn. Was hoping you would review this.
Thanks for doing this review and keep up the good work, I can't wait to shoot my new rifle.
love how you changed the title...
Merry Christmas guys. Thanks for the vids again! Cheers.
Happy holidays to you and yours TNP.
Just purchased one...thank you sir.
500k subs congrats you earned it. Keep up the good work.
I still want to see a review of the FAL and the XCR-M in .308.
-TD
nutnfancy Keymod XCR-M has substantial weight reduction from original.
I love mine and will probably buy another. diff rails and stock.
pissed about the suppressor having a 762-sdn-6
+1 everything about the gun is quality.
Another great review.... Merry Christmas.
I dont think Ive asked for any specific review but Id like to see you get your hands on a G2. Say vs a standard ar10. Been wanting to build an AR10 for a while. After reading some comments I see a lot of others want to see you do a G2 also. Keep doing what your doing love all the vids.
Awesome video Nutn.I just started to get into the AR10 stuff they are cool but I'm thinking of building one over buying one.
long time subscriber here, LOVE your thorough reviews and attention to detail for the truth as you see it.
-TD
LOL....well I have a Romak and a Yugo....I think I want the AR now - and it will come with divorce papers. See ya honey, been fun LOL.
I really, really like TNP!! High qual Infos!! Keep it up, Nutn!! CU next Vid!! ATB from Germany!! :D
Just bought one .... based on your EXCELLANT review ! Haven't yet got to the range but I'll comment afterwards. Damned sexy rifle though ... lol
+James Mitchell so?
James Mitchell alright then. Have u tried 200 yards plus?
Love my M&P15, thousands of rounds downrange and not one single malfunction! 100% quality and reliability
This vs. the DPMS Gen 2 would be a super-interesting tabletop.
Damn it, you just answered EVERY question I had about the barrel and prop. parts... Now I am gonna have to get one!! ;-)
Merry Christmas Nutn!
Turrets > mil-dots. All day, every day.
This might be a good wolf hunting gun for me since I wanted to step up from my coyote gun (22-250).
Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to the Nutnfancy family!!!!
liv4motox Aww thanks!TD
CONGRATS on 500K subs NUTN!!!!!!Long time viewer MEGAman. Where are the Canadian TNP'rs???
Great Video. Just in time for delivery of my S&W M&P 10.
I was a little concerned about your findings on the reliability when using a Gemtech Suppressor.
Fortunately, I have the Gemtech 300WM which function flawlessly after a 100 rounds.
Could be the difference between the design and length of each suppressor.
Just an FYI
I was thinking about building an AR10 with my son and I still might, but this dude could be worth buying. I dislike ending up with a bunch of useless furniture after I've Magpul'd it up, though.
