Hi from Essex! Where abouts in England are you, looks north somewhere? I should be going to sleep but I continue to watch your videos lol. Love videos like this, keep em up, you should have more subs than you do! 👍
This is basically 98% from the mic on the exhaust, I left a tiny bit of cabin audio but basically unnoticeable! However if you put the windows down these are the type of sounds you then hear, it's great!
@@FootToPedal out of interest what mic are you using for the exhaust? Ive got 2 lavalier mics and both of them cant handle the volume from the exhaust it just comes out all crackley
@@1finchgreen Believe it or not a GoPro Hero 7 White, it has one of the best mics for exhaust sound as it auto adjusts the audio level which is a good send, since most cars are quiet at idle and much louder at higher RPM's. I've tried various lav mics and they always have issues not peaking/cracking up!
@@FootToPedal thats very believable tbf, the gopro mic works really well! I had one lavalier mic that worked for a while then started crackling. Its annoying as i need to buy another gopro just for the mic😂
@@1finchgreen You could try using an audio recorder with a manual gain dial and then setting it manually (or ideally having a passenger doing it) for the different audio levels as you're driving.
If you just want a cruiser and a 6 cylinder sound track, 320i is perfectly suitable. If you want some extra performance I'd go for the 325i, but the power difference isn't enormous. Good luck!
Do you have to buy just the muffler or the full system? On my e30 320i i have just one inox pipe connected to the stock muffler, the sound is not so great and have a little drone when driving long distances
I just bought the rear box for mine, you have a choice between that or the full system. However my mid section already had some other stainless box in it which plays into the sound a bit too.
@@FootToPedalIs your mid section setup louder than the half system? I'd like to order the half system kit during the Black Friday sale. I'm afraid that will be too loud or droning in cabin while driving slow. Am I think too much🤣🤣?
@@FootToPedal good to know. I absolutely can not handle that constant droning behind my head while trying to enjoy the car. It's great to hear on demand through the throttle pedal. Lol
@@FootToPedal my son has a 318is 1991 with the m42. The previous owner had installed a cat back system from Strömung. It sounds absolutely great but it is very quiet for a aftermarket system. Very well made and looks great too being fully polished stainless and a 83mm single tip. I like it very much. I'm now looking for my own e30 now (looking for a touring model to drop a m42 in) and might like a bit more volume from the exhaust than that system provides. There is zero droning with it at any speed or rpm. Just too quiet overall.
Yeah sounds good man, definitely recommend a Touring! The stock exhaust systems are generally very quite actually, doesn't take much to make these engines sound much nicer. I can say for sure that the Scorpion system gives plenty of sound 👍
Just brilliant! Bought a E30 320i recently and it sounds nice stock but this is just perfection
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice! The music of an inline 6!
It is a joy 👌
Sounds so nice, perfect even!
Thanks!
i love the handling in my e30 on tiny roads :)
Yeah they're very fun to drive!

Thanks for watching man! Yeah this is up in the North East of England 👍
Plenty more videos to come.
Sounds fantastic! I wonder how it would sound on a M42 twin cam from the 318is?
Thanks, I imagine it would sound great actually!
Oh a four pot it will sound more raspy, the m20s just sound too good!
Is this all in cabin noise or did you mic the exhaust up? Sounds incredible

lovely I am still in two minds, either 325 or 320

@@FootToPedal yes juat cruising to the beat of the the 6 cylinder
Sounds good, can't go wrong with a 320i!
@@FootToPedal what is the mpg and tax on the 320i?
Don't expect too much in terms of MPG, usually around 25 with normal driving. Tax in the UK is £275 a year

Not 100% sure but the mid section is louder than stock, doesn't drone though! I say go for it!
Where can i find this exhaust?! i neeeeed it!
You can find it here:

It's worth buying for sure!
Any droning at steady cruise speeds?
Nope, it's actually very quiet when cruising, it's only loud when on the throttle or at high RPM's 👌

Yeah droning is never good, I've found this to be a really good system overall!

Is this with the resonator?
Yeah it has all the silencers still!
What tuning chip did you use?
It was actually already fitted to the car when I bought it but I believe it was one off the E30 Zone forums
