As an ex-W202 C-Class owner, after about a minute of this I thought two things: The car control is even more incredible than most would think, because the steering in these things is almost entirely devoid of any feel whatsoever. 2. Doing all that without using the parking-foot/hand brake is uber impressive. Then you did the foot/hand brake thing and I nearly cried inside with happiness. Salut!

It's like, okay, you got the infinite HP car, with infinite money invested in it to behave perfectly, a pro rally driver, it's pretty safe even with the HP, considering everything, but not relatable at all. HOWEVER, on the other side, we got a random dude, with an unmodified car, just tearing through dangerous terrain and splitting the road in half. I enjoyed this much more.
nah some of those actual Gymkhana videos are legit 1000x better, vs some backyard dude in a Merc in the woods. Or just watch any WRC or rally vid, again, 1000x better lol.

Brings back memories, i used to deliver a rural paper route with 130mi of gravel rd daily at 2-4am. Had a 04 golf 5spd tdi, wasn’t fast but it was quick. Started off doing the route driving fast but normal, by the time i quit doing it 2 years later i would destroy a brand new set of tires in around 3-4 weeks, and i mean bald. That car loved to slide around corners entering at around 70-80 and leaving at 60. had enough torque to hold the front end on the inside edge while sideways around corners, flicking the steering wheel back and forth just right would send the car into a nice slide without the e-brake. Really do miss that car and job😂

Common misconception is always that HP = how dynamic car is. If it got manual transmission, you can make anything fly, just avoid eco shifting and go for power shifting. The only real limits is how good transmission is and how much max speed said baby can pump.
I just picked my c220 from the mechanic today. The lady was telling me she was surprised to see a car from 2000 with 92000km only for the mechanic to make her notice that it was 920000 She said she never saw a car with those many km before (This is like a family car that we just decided to keep.. Of course we’re now on the 3rd engine, 3th gearbox, etc… but we just love it)

i used to have a honda accord with the H22A engine. damn that car was fun. for a fwd anyway. a prelude with the same engine must have been even more fun. i always wished honda made more rwd cars though, to truly take advantage of their awesome high revving vtec engines.

I had W202 C230 Sport for 10 years and I can assure you that the car was always underestimated of its capabilities. It has perfect weight distribution. And if you have ambitions to drive like Ken Block, the only thing you need to do is just unplug an ABS sensor to deactivate ABS/ETS/ESP or whatever the car is equipped with.
Reminds me of the back roads where I'm from. When you grow up driving the same roads daily, you can pull off some amazing drifts and get decent air/smooth landings on narrow gravel roads. Nice run...looks like you drive by "feel" and push the car within its limits.😊

Superb driving skills. Most rallye drivers know that it´s not the horsepower that makes the car go fast on gravel, it´s how you use the power. I had loads of fun back in the eighties with an old volvo 242, and that had 92 furious horses under the hood..

Всё понравилось - мастерство вождение, звук двигателя, съёмка видео. Впечатлило использование "ручника" на Мерседесе. Но особо впечатлил прыжок через мост. Так всё чётко получилось. Особенно приземление - мягкое на все колёса. Такой прыжок - прямо по радиусу дороги.
