Hallo jcr NSResponder! Great that you found ScaleJetFred and in particular this JU 52 video. This is may be the only very large RC model of this plane . Glad you like it. Greetings, Fred
During the moments you cant see anything for scale you could swear that this is the right deal.....just stunning-without words.......and they got the sound right,too... Thanks for posting.
This is, I believe, the only recording showing the JU 52 assembly giving also an inside of its construction. Unfortunately it crashed 4 years later when I also was present with my camera. It was 2027. Avodeo of the Airliner meeting 2017 is on my channel... Please also tell your friends, thank you You can visit my RUclips channel by clicking on the blue "ScaleJetFred" on top of this, my message and select from 135 postings! Not too many crashes mixed in... Greetings from Ireland, Fred
I am happy you liked it! Unfortunately 2 years later this nice model crashed due to pilot error during landing approach. It is also on my RUclips channel. Thanks for watching, Fred
About the same size as the KR-2 I built and flew with a 36 hp VW engine I built too. Thanks for such a beautiful job. Hope it lives a very long life, Paul in Thailand
This is REALLY , REALLY ; The Most Exiting RC Model Airplane i`ve EVER seen !! You can see the Wooden Structure , when they are assembling this BEAUTIFUL Ju 52 . The Sound of the Motors ( I read about the Motors , they are original Stern Motors ..Unbelievable Great) is AWESOME !! 11 of 10 Points .. Conggratiulations to this Phantastic Airplane !!
Thank You for watching! Unfortunately This beauty lost its wings in a crash on 8 July this year, You can find it At ScaleJetFred RUclips chanel and others. Regards Fred
Hi Jonathan! The model wingspan is 6.09 meter. The original is 29 meter _ 1:4.076 This had not been built at the time of the film Thank you for watching my video. Greetings, Fred
Hallo liebe Ju 52 Piloten, also erst mal Hut ab. Delta Charly Delta Lima Hotel is now ready for departure :-) Ganz liebe Grüße Marco
Hi William! Thanks for watching and the very nice comment. It is realy great when ones "work" is appreciated. Happy viewing in the future and greetings from Dublin, Fred
How kool is their number plate on their trailer suits the aircraft as well going thru the assembly list checking every thing even the pilots haha.Best thing is the most beautiful noise those engines make great looking model in the air thank you for sharing.
This is gorgeous. All I can think about is the opening credits to the movie"The Battle of Britain" where the JU-52 is making its flight to Berlin. Beautiful model, congrats.
Moki engines are so versatile. They work very well at maintaining the scale sound, appearance, and performance. That is one of the most impressive Iron Annie's I've ever seen. What a beautiful beast, every aspect down to the perfect landing and well recorded as well. Thank you for posting and God Bless, Paul from Florida.
Sunday I recorded one more flight of this monster. Unfortunately It crashed very close to me... The organisers have requested that I do not show the crashed model
Oh, that is a shame about the crash. I pray you weren't injured. It is quite respectful that you honored their wishes. Thank you. Did they ever get it back together again? That was an awful lot or work.
Exactly what my thoughts where when I was confronted with this. I did not stop the camera for more than 30 minutes. Of cause, because i had no tripod, part of the recording had to be edited out - I was shaking because of the camera wight (Sony EX3) Thanks for contacting me, I am happy you enjoyed the "Show" Greetings from Dublin Ireland, Fred
Fred
Hi Dominik! Thank you for watching this video on my ScaleJetFred channel! Your nice comment says it all. Please tell your friends? Greetings from Ireland, Fred
Thank You Mr Drone for the nice comment! please come back and see more of my 80 videos about RC models. A friend travels often to Poerti Rico,he works with Oriflame Cosmetics. Greetings from Ireland
Out of all of the models I seen and heard in my trawling 'career' of RUclips, this has easily got to be the best model ever. Even down to the fluidity of the movement. Great camera work too, paying attention to those closeup shots.
What can I say that has not been said before as far as compliments. The intense assembly of such a large scale airplane was fascinating to watch. To see the airframe detail was mind blowing. I enjoyed this plane far more than watching the large scale jet airplanes. You just can't beat a Moki engine.
Hi Patric G, These chaps used Lithographic type thin plate metal and rolled these through corrigated roller tools they had made for this project . Years ago I built a Scale Model of the JU 13 "Bremen" , For this much smaller plane I covered Foam wings with corrugate biscuit paper. I filled the hollow corrugation with small Balsa strips. It looked perfect! Greetings form Dublin, Ireland
Hi Dries, unfortunately I never recorded a flight of the BN-2 on that weekend. I do like it as a model, I did fly in one as passenger a long time ago. Hope you will find some other interesting models flying on my ScaleJet channel. Thanks for watching
Wow wow wow! That is one incredible model. Absolutely one of the best I have ever seen and heard! What fun it must have been while building it and seeing how large each piece will be. Thank you for incredible dedication and patience (funding) Thank you.
A lot of detail, sweat, money, hard work and smarts went into getting this bird air born. Fixed landing gear was a plus - less to go wrong. A great veteran work horse of the Luftwaffe.
Very nice aircraft, I lived in Las Vegas, Nevada 35 years and observed many different planes of various vintages, this plane in the video looks very much like the old Ford "Tri-Motor", which they had in Las Vegas for tour flights over Grand Canyon and other destinations like Black Canyon, Hoover Dam, etc; I enjoy watching the R/C planes being assembled and flown. Thank you for sharing these videos. Happy Landings.
I enjoyed you,r video and the model was fantastic as was the flying . I was amazed how every thing just fitted together so perfectly .congratulations on a wonderful model build .O:-)
Hello Jan, those prop guard can be got from "Toni Clark Practical Scale" reinsch@toni-clark.com (Gerd Reinsch). Thank you for watching, please see more of ScaleJetFred

Hallo Adrian! You are correct, the JU 52 flew with 2-bladed props. However, I have seen one with 3 -bladet ones in Berlin Schoenefeld. It was used for tourist flights over Berlin. As for the model: The Moki engines used need a 32x18 prop, this is too large for safe ground clearance. That is the main reason for those props used. Thanks for watching! Regards Fred
Thank you for watching granskare! In Germany an JU 52 is flying with 3 Blade props. However, you are correct, historically they used 2 bladed props. greetings from Ireland Fred
Hallo Zeke, Thank you for watching! I am happy that you like it. I recorded this without a tripod. It took 25 minutes. this I edited so viewers don't get bored. Greetings from ireland, Fred
This is an amazing piece of construction. Kudos. Just guessing - this must be close to a $20,000 airplane!! Despite all my RC flying hours, I doubt I'd have the nerve to fly it. Wonderful to watch.
I do not know the cost. But it is a team project, so cost was spread in believe. Unfortunately this super model crashed this year, se a posting on ScaleJetFred or RCHelijet. We hope they can repair the damage.
You are correct Robert! A few Years later, at the same event, the unthinkable happened. Thankfully Ambulances where not needed but it reminded all that super large RC models need particular care.
Absolutely beautiful old bird. Love the sounds and flight of her. Awesome videography.
who needs CGI for aeroplanes when you have these beautiful things !
Amazing model. It easily looks like the real thing, without people near it.
Amazing attention to detail!
How kool is their number plate on their trailer suits the aircraft as well going thru the assembly list checking every thing even the pilots haha.Best thing is the most beautiful noise those engines make great looking model in the air thank you for sharing.
