    The sound of the B29 is absolutely amazing! Must need years of experience to fly something like that?

    Rotated too soon and then suffered a tail strike. Fortunately these things are a lot cheaper to repair than the real ones 😊

    As an acoustic designer I would affix resonance chambers to the nacelles to create a sound an octave lower. I don't care how much that messes with the design. I remember the Boeings flyng in and out of LAX in the early fifties and they sure didn't sound like this. Yes, B-29s in the fifties, what a surprise. The sound of the Gee-Bee is amazing.

    • @allegheny48
      @allegheny48 3 года назад

      I agree that a lower pitch would sound more realistic. Those 2 bladed props seem to disappear when running giving the illusion of no props at all. None the less a beautiful model. Kudos to the builder. Along with seeing the B-29's in the early fifties did you ever see one of the B-50's?

    • @dennismason3740
      @dennismason3740 3 года назад

      @@allegheny48 - Everything came in and out of LAX in the fifties - military, civilian, it didn't matter so I probably saw a B-50 or two except I have no idea what a B-50 looks like. I like propeller airplanes.

    • @allegheny48
      @allegheny48 3 года назад

      @@dennismason3740 The B-50 was basically a souped up more highly refined B-29 with larger engines requiring a more aerodynamic nacelles, wing mounted fuel pods and a much larger vertical stabilizer to name a few. They were a very handsome aircraft.

      @@allegheny48 - Thank you. I will check it out. My dad was a B-29 bombardier in 1945. Apparently the Nordon bombsight was the most advanced analogue computer in the day. He left in 1955 so we never really talked.
