Hallo there! Firstly thank you for watching this video! Well, the weights imitating 3 G placed on the underside of wings and horizontal stabilizer are imitating stress caused by Turbulence where stress is happening on top and underside of the wing. If you like to watch more flights of this fantastic A 380 RC model, look here: A 380 part 2 ruclips.net/video/tQJDiOn7oRE/видео.html A 380 part 3 ruclips.net/video/BDFxUXrLiiY/видео.html Or see other 1:16 scale Airliner models on my RUclips channel: ruclips.net/channel/UCLLKGiw9zclsM7QMg6F_00g

Thanks for watching. Peter built this as a "Challenge" after having designed and constructed many Airliner flying models over many years. This also included the twin turbine Concord, it is the basis of Michael Brauer's Fiberglas kit you can see flying on my channel. You are correct: for every day flying we are building smaller planes.
It is an excellent idea to find out what stress the airplane can take BEFORE it flies. It would be sad if you found out it couldn’t take it after it went in the air.
Great you watched my video! See other Airliner models and also two more presentations of this A 380 RC model, enjoy! Have a look at my channel, may be you find something of interest to You? ruclips.net/channel/UCLLKGiw9zclsM7QMg6F_00g

He builds a mind-boggling 65Kg model with their name on it, and in return he gets "Business Class" tickets to Dubai...not good enough for 1st Class i guess
I want you to place a HD FPV camera in the fake cockpit, point it out the front window with a OSD HUD, and make a video of a lap around the pattern. That would be even more stunning. Fantastic accomplishment my man.
Thank you for watching this video! It was the first (Maiden) flight of a construction and design unproven. So it was important to get it fast and safly high in to the and air. Hi Ro-Tang Clan, This and most other Airliner models on my Youtubr channel are constructed from Styrofoan and Balsa woohto keep the weight down. see it here: Peter Michelund andere Airliner builder ruclips.net/video/0FJDI10QxHY/видео.html Carbon made planes may be lighter, but Carbon is much more difficult to use without proper training. Thanks for your comment dan4466. To load the bottom wing during the stress test has nothing to di with the lift not created. Winks, when flying through turbulence, are being stresses on the top and bottom of wings as these experience positive and negative forces whilst are deflecting up and down. greetings, Fred
Hallo Jesus Fernandez! I am happy you commented on this video! I must clarify: I recorded the video for Peter Michel. Peter is the builder and pilot. I pass your comment on to Peter Regards and greetings from Ireland Fred

Hallo there!
Firstly thank you for watching this video!
Well, the weights imitating 3 G placed on the underside of wings and horizontal stabilizer are imitating stress caused by Turbulence where stress is happening on top and underside of the wing.

What would it be like to be a passenger on that flight? lol. The takeoff was probably pulling 30 g's
Well, you would be unconscious at least.
Not bad for the first take off ! Im sure later take offs were performed more realistically after learning how that giant bird flies.
Brian E. Scott id say 60 g's

Hi ZYC
the cost is more than a small car...
ScaleJetFred and you can't buy it, you build it
It is to much work for me, I prefer flying.
There are Airliner Models available second hand from time to time
Norbert Rauch knows about it.
Norbert Rauch www.rauch-airliner.com/

But the cost still has to be huge. Not that it matters. It's very nice!
OBVIOUSLY LOL!
I'd say more than a small car... a lot more.
Thanks for watching.
Peter built this as a "Challenge" after having designed and constructed many Airliner flying models over many years.
This also included the twin turbine Concord, it is the basis of Michael Brauer's Fiberglas kit
you can see flying on my channel.
You are correct: for every day flying we are building smaller planes.
the bags are imitating G-Forces
It is a stress test

ok then
It is an excellent idea to find out what stress the airplane can take BEFORE it flies. It would be sad if you found out it couldn’t take it after it went in the air.
it was to see if he could do some aileron rolls or not.

make it a big bigger and put a chair on it
david vincent it would either break if u sat on it or it would be too heavy to take off so its impossible.

He builds a mind-boggling 65Kg model with their name on it, and in return he gets "Business Class" tickets to Dubai...not good enough for 1st Class i guess
he could paint the thing in Olympic Airways livery
Hi Mike!
Yes, he could but hoped he could sell it...
I will never again under-estimate how douchey Royals can be.."Buy a RC Jet, no no Daddy I'd much rather go play Polo..."
And so say all of us...
But to see it fly when you designed and built it - an great achievement
Thanks for visiting my channel and the comment
I want you to place a HD FPV camera in the fake cockpit, point it out the front window with a OSD HUD, and make a video of a lap around the pattern. That would be even more stunning. Fantastic accomplishment my man.
Thank you for watching this video!
It was the first (Maiden) flight of a construction and design unproven.
So it was important to get it fast and safly high in to the and air.

The models have been constructed to take off and land on grass because their are not enough solid runways for model planes in Germany.
However, there is a major Jet plane exhibition taking place at a full size field with solid runway - see the same plane operating there:
