You may have released fewer recipes this year, but honestly I think their quality more than makes up for it! Love your omelette recipe and your take on ChefSteps’ vegan fois gras. The oil free chips too. All of them, really.
OMG I definitely want to try this one... my mom used to make no bake cheesecake... she passed away last year and this would be a great way to remember her... thank you so much for sharing! Happy Holidays and New Year!🙏🏻💞🎉
Noom has a lot of excellent information and good stuff about it. I also like to warn people about the calories they recommended that I consume. Maybe they have changed this since I tried in a couple of years ago, but I'm 5'9" , around 175 pounds and in my 50s. They put my calories at 1300 a day. That is, I know from years of learning about food/nutrition, too few calories for someone my height and weight. 1500 is, according to every online calculator I can find, my minimum for weight loss. 1700 for maintenance. Anything below 1500 for my height and weight is, imo, unhealthy. So yes, Noom can be great for people - but I'd recommend using online calculators and adjusting your calories up a bit if what they tell you is too low for healthy, sustainable weight loss.
Wow, yes, studied Nutrition in college and that is dangerously low, not enough nutrition and the body will go into survival hunger mode and basically defeat any attempts at long term weight loss. Glad you took the time to tell people about your experience.
I have been trying to find a good vegan cheese cake again. Years ago I found one that was my favorite and I no longer can find it. I might make it for my birthday. Oatly cream cheese is the man best! I have 3 containers in my fridge right now.
I would love to do it more lemony/lime, then at the top sprinkle pommegranede seeds, they are sooooo good on cheese cake and ofcourse garnish with lemon and lime chest, really good repcipe, thank you!
Looks good. I’ve been wanting to make a proper vegan cheese cake forever, and we use Oatly here in Norway as well. Oh and you look gooood. Bravo for your transformation, definitely inspirational for my own weightloss start in.. well. Tomorrow! Happy new year!🎉
Awesome! I think your 2 video's a week schedule is the perfect cycle. More is not always better! Your quality has improved a lot, that's way more important 😉
Another wondeful year following your channel. I don't usually comment much, but I've been subscribed to your channel since the fairly early days. Been as rewarding for me personally (food, learning, food inspiration, more great vegan food 😂) as it has been to for me to watch and be part of your journey and growth along the way. Congrats on all your success this year and the years past. Looking forward to 2024. Happy new year and hope you and Monica had a wonderful holiday season. I'm always gonna follow and I'm always recommending your videos to friends. As others have mentioned, you may have released less videos this year, but the quality is always more important in my opinion. Your production quality and production value have always been great. I appreciate how you always stick to the objective at hand and are succinct. You still manage to keep it light and entertaining without adding in fluff filler nonsense, long monologues about random things that aren't relevant, hyperbole, etc just to make the videos longer. Maybe there is a time and place for that stuff, but for recipes I much prefer a shorter more focused video.
I'll never be a vegan but I'll never bash the lifestyle or vegan foods. I've had some awesome vegan recipes in my time and seeing yours is always quite interesting to me. The method of it, the various parts and flavors you add together, the tinkering to make x taste like y is a fascinating subject to watch. Again, I'm not a vegan, but I enjoy watching you work things out to make interesting vegan foods that I'd be eager to try. It's been an entertaining year my man and kudos on losing weight and getting healthier.
I haven't tuned in to your channel for a few months but I did a double-take seeing the thumbnail, asking myself, "Is that the same Sauce Stache? He now looks more like David Cross than Seth Rogan!" XD Congrats on whatever you're doing buddy keep it up 👍
This no-bake recipe looks yummy; I will definitely give it a try! ...Thanks for another great year of content! Again, congrats on the weight loss. Hope you and Monica have been having a great holiday. Wishing you continued success in 2024!
Cheesecake was my absolute favorite dessert when growing up too and I totally understand why you decided to go with this one as THE recipe of the year! The best vegan cheesecake I've made was also no-bake but I used fresh Asian tofu as the base (it is relatively soft and has a super creamy middle like in a burrata) as I don't really like the coconut aftertaste. I would absolutely try a recipe with cream cheeses and yogurt as a base as it just makes sense - they are naturally super creamy and have that dairy taste. Also, my childhood cheesecakes had not fancy topping either and they were just as delicious :D
Very similar to my own recipe except I use a mixture of Agar Agar and Kappa Carrageenan to firm the mix up so that it only requires refrigeration and stays stable at room temperature.
1... I wouldn't say there is 0 coconut flavor, although to me it's not there at all... but If I put zero I know someone will say there is a taste hahah
Does it have to stay in the freezer or can it go into the fridge and maintain the no bake firmness? And if in the freezer, does it get icey? I know I'll eat it up before it has a chance, but.... just in case I don't polish it off in one setting.
I’m sure this is really good! I’ve been looking for a vegan baked NY cheesecake and I found one. I’m trying it next weekend! Can you hit us with a baked one?
My bf bday is coming up and I was thinking I might do a cheesecake for him then this showed as I was scrolling and thinking about it. It was a sign lol
This is the reason why I ditched the real cheese. You can make this tasting better than the real thing and never worrying about impurities. That is the so clean cheesecake!!
Mmmm this looks good! You look like a different person than when I first started watching you! Thanks for keeping the awesome recipes and videos coming and Happy New Year to you and Monica! :)
Thinking back to Adam Ragusea's ice cream experiment, I wonder how this would have worked with dry ice. You'd have gotten a little fluffiness in the end, and also the sourness from the dry ice.
My question is: so how far in advance do you take it out of the freezer to serve it? Or do you take it out and leave it in the fridge for a time? Your sample piece looks like it isn't frozen anymore, which of course, we want. Thank you. Going to try it.
Did you mean to use Coco Lopez cream of coconut? Cause that's not actually coconut cream, it's a sweetened coconut product. Do you recomend using that rather than the fatty cream from coconut milk?
Instead of citric acid...a vegan version of sour cream topping will put it over the top. I don't know how that would pan out without baking it, though. It does only bake for 5 minutes, so maybe?
Because this is my full time job and each recipe takes hours to make along with the days it takes to make to produce the videos. The ads from RUclips pays me around $40k a year which doesn't even cover the costs of food to make the recipes along with keeping the equipment up, cameras lighting, computers for editing etc. The website alone costs around $200 a month and it only generates around $50 a month in revenue. Without sponsorships I wouldn't be able to keep this going and I like keeping it going.
You may have released fewer recipes this year, but honestly I think their quality more than makes up for it! Love your omelette recipe and your take on ChefSteps’ vegan fois gras. The oil free chips too. All of them, really.

Of course dude! Your channel is an invaluable resource for plant based cooks like myself.

My new favorite crust is crushed pretzels, sugar, butter (now vegan butter). Going to try this recipe after I detox from my holiday sugar binge.
I ❤ the memories of being vegetarian and eating no bake cheesecake, as a vegan now this looks so yummy and nostalgic 🤤🥲
Omg that parchment hack is a life saver!!!

Brother, I'm genuinely shocked at your transformation, you should be very proud of yourself! You look amazing. Really proud of you. 💪💪💪
The Happy Pear did a great vegan cheesecake video a while back. Highly recommend.
Love the happy pear.
Happy New Year!.. Always providing us with ideas on how to make outstanding recipes!
I just tried the country crock plant cream and it's amazing. I'm going to try making cheesecake, Alfredo, and quiche with it
Oh I need to try that!!!!
Sam Turnbull’s Marry Me Tofu is a super good way to use it too! It’s delicious
I tried it too! Made of mostly pea protein. It's great!

Excited to try this! Thanks!!
Thanks! Happy New Year!
How about a baked cheese cake recipe as a follow up?
looks incredible nice sweet end to the year.
You guys rock!
YUMM!! This looks delicious 😊
This looks fantastic! I wonder if there's a way to make this without any of the store bought cream cheeses. It's tough to find near me 😢
Totally!! Thee Burger dude has a great cream cheese recipe! There are lots online that would work perfect as a base for this!
oooh I see biscoff cookies in my future!
Yum! I followed your video and it turned out great!

Love looking at all these recipes....but none of them ever compare to the real thing IMO. I just learned to reallllly love plain eating 😂
I need to try this!😮
You need too!!!
Isn’t Coco Lopez more than just coconut cream? It’s the base for piña coladas with a lot of sugar? No?
I appreciate this so much!
Thank you so much!!!
Very similar to my own recipe except I use a mixture of Agar Agar and Kappa Carrageenan to firm the mix up so that it only requires refrigeration and stays stable at room temperature.
Bravo, Mark! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Looks AMAZING (and I don't use that word often)! BUT... does it taste coconut-y? Happy New Year to you both!
It looks great
On a scale from 0 to 11 , 11 is the the full taste of coconut flavour , and 0 absolute nothing reminding of coco . How do you grade your recipe ?
Asking the real questions ^^
@@renmorpheus i don't want a coconut cheese cake 🍰, vegan or not 😖

@@SauceStache 😁 0k thank you , i get it, so I think if we just add vanilla or/and maybe a lemony touch ,coco would be undetectable

I’m sure this is really good! I’ve been looking for a vegan baked NY cheesecake and I found one. I’m trying it next weekend!
Can you hit us with a baked one?
Could you whisk up some aquafaba or egg white alternative and mix into the cheesecake mix to lighten it up?
You should try this one with your least tasty cream cheeses too to compare. 🤭
My bf bday is coming up and I was thinking I might do a cheesecake for him then this showed as I was scrolling and thinking about it. It was a sign lol
Guilt free cheese YUMMMM 🤤
Right?! You would actually really like this... Remind me next time you're over I have some in the freezer for you!
Looks delicious! It’s amazing how many people still think they are a baby cow and consume cows milk products in 2023🤦♂️
Thanks for sharing

I am also an ex-cheesecake person! I am going to try this one!
My favorite dessert!
I love key lime pie. Is there a way to turn this cheesecake into klp, without making it too thin from key lime juice?
Looks good! I'd like to try this! 👍👍👍👍👍
How do you think this measures up to Daiya's cheesecake? Theirs are really good.
No-bake no-cheese-cake?? Yay!
Right!!! its sooo good!!
POWER!!!

Did you mean to use Coco Lopez cream of coconut? Cause that's not actually coconut cream, it's a sweetened coconut product.
Do you recomend using that rather than the fatty cream from coconut milk?
have you thought about using vanilla bean powder instead of extract - less liquid, less quantity and less $$$
Do you think that it would freeze well?
It freezes great!!! Thats how we stored the rest of this and ive pulled it out, sliced off a slice and plopped it back in!
You are the goat ❤
Curious because I love coconut I'm wondering how to get more of a coconut taste in that just curious how that would work
Maybe you're close to cracking a plant based egg for a chew chocolate chip cookie? :)
Could you use a sugar substitute like splenda instead of powered sugar?
You look great… congrats 👏🏽
Why cornstarch in a no bake? Did you taste the chaulkiness?
Ok my mom has been making cheesecake since I was 9. I wonder if she would like it ❤
Instead of citric acid...a vegan version of sour cream topping will put it over the top. I don't know how that would pan out without baking it, though. It does only bake for 5 minutes, so maybe?
🥰
Do I have to use a Yeti water bottle or will any bottle do? (hahaha) have a good new year!
Thanks for the recipe. Congrats on your weight loss too!!
Thank you!!
can u eat cornstarch without cooking it first? Thanks
Commercial powdered sugar has cornstarch or tapioca starch. It keeps the sugar from clumping together.
Isn't "vegan butter" the same thing as margarine?
Hey there, Happy New Years. So just wondering what's your favorite flavor of cheezecake?
Would this hold up at room temperature?
Or even just fridge temp?
Not at all... it melts pretty easily!
That looked like two table spoons of corn starch... and the rest of the world would use digestive biscuits.
Congrats on the weight loss but ngl I miss chubby stasch 😅 something about a chef being heavier is very wholesome
I need a t-shirt that says "Let's see what Monica has to say"
Great idea!

Unfortunately not interested in a coconut cheese cake.
Good thing this doesnt taste like coconut at all
