I think a 3/4 view would have been more informative than a straight top-down view. I do like the sharp lines on the metals, but the new ones have a nice charm, and the size makes them a little easier to work with.
Thanks for the video. The Battletech standard infantry was out off scale from the get go. Most older players that have them agree that they are actually 8mm scale and not the 6mm scale Battletech is made for. That was what they could do at the time and they've never been resculpted. As for the vehicles I like both, but I'm slowly switching to plastic once available. Plastic is lighter and less easily damaged. The details are close enough for me.
Iron Wind makes both Kurita and Davion infantry stands. If the sizes haven't changed since I gone mine (quite a few years ago), the Davion stands are a smaller scale and look better alongside the new battle armour.
I always pinned my metal vehicle turrets. I play my new Patton tank as a Rommel and my old one as the Patton. Just for the spite of it. J27 ordinance carrier. They come with a thumper artillery trailer
The battle armor is "goopy" if you compare them to the elementals from the clan invasion box. They are same size and the elementals have much better crisper details.
The third Star League Striker Star force pack coming out in the third quarter is supposed to have a J-27 Ordinance Truck included with five mechs. Not sure how many hexes it occupies.
Better, maybe not. Metal one exist and the plastic ones do not exist or not widely available. They also have not gotten even close to finishing the 3025 LIST.
I've only got mechs so haven't looked properly at the vehicles but I must say I find pretty much all of the new ones better. More 3rd, a bit bulkier, and just feel like the match the aesthetics of the mechs better. Also the new mechs look so much better than the really old ones, the atlas used to look so goofy...
I used a small screwdriver and gently moved it back and forth and they came right off, they are on pegs. For the hover tanks I plan on getting the pegs they used for the metal hover tanks from Iron Wind Metals.
It's 3am but I just gotta see a comparison of different combat vehicles from that one mech game.

I think your paper numbers look amazing. Hope you are sealing them. Should be fine. Great work!
Exactly the video I wanted someone to make, thanks!

I think the old ones hold up.
Throw the old ones on a base, and you are good to go.
you know there is a good possibility that iron wind will get access to the new sculpts like they have with some of the mechs
I got three of the box that has the missile carriers… make it rain lol

Im going to keep my old afvs

I dont like bases on vehicles, I took all the bases off of the new models.
Were they just posted on pegs or did you have to "unglue" them?
