I am seeing more Elantra Ns than Civic Si and VW GLIs combined. This car is positioned perfectly at the price point.
Hyundai's N cars prove that when the Koreans want to do something, they go all the way. This compares favorably with the Jetta GLI and Civic R. The blue is eye-catching, just what a compact sport sedan should be.
And when their korean celebrities drive a hyundia in kdramas, expect their local market to go crazy to buy the vehicle...because Hyun Bin drove a Hyundai!
I love this video review because you said you had high expectations and even with those expectations it met them or possibly exceeded them. I read every article and watched every RUclips review before I bought my Elantra N almost 2 years ago. It still puts a smile on my face and I’m so glad I gave it a shot.
Great review of this car!! I just bought a '23 Hyundai Elantra N - I love how nimble it is , how fun it is to drive on the road, the exhaust never gets old, definitely cool to have a "rare" car on the road - you don't see many of them, and the gas mileage is an added bonus!😜 For anyone at all interested in one - test drive it, and you'll be SOLD!😎 ALSO the warranties are great, and these have kept their value pretty well, but I didn't buy this car for resale, I bought it to drive it!!🤪
i had one for 2 days, its better than the japaneese competition, but not a single car under 80k is as fun to drive like cheap cars from 20years ago and after i took a look at the warranty claims, i dont want that car at all
@@retrocompaq5212 wait, you bought an N and sold it after two days?
@@anthonykiedis1765 He was just renting, otherwise he's an idiot.
Love the owners license plate 😂
can't wait for you to review an ioniq 5 n
These days, people who diss Hyundais are just ignorant and look foolish. Although I dislike their 2024 redesign of the Sonata, Hyundai is one of the most fun and tech heavy affordable car brands right now.
Their reliability is still questionable and they were skimping out on immobilizers on their lower end products, on top of engine fires with their Theta engines and refusing to honor their own warranties. The whole brand feels like a crapshoot, which sucks because i honestly like the Forte GT
The color reminds me of a super hero & the car itself reminds me of a super hero & a super villian combined!
Yeah I'll take one! 😊
How good is the Elantra? In Nigeria🇳🇬 I see it almost everywhere almost replacing the Toyota Camry.
It's not exactly a bad car, just that it's not as reliable as the Japanese competition.
Looks sweet
@ShootingCars3 you’re not Zach
I rented an Elantra last year. As a rental it was capable, I don't know if I'd want it as a daily driver.
I can tell you this much. The regular Elantra is quite comparable to the Corolla, but doesn't have the same reputation for reliability.
This just means if you don't skip oil changes and you get it maintained regularly, it should last for a long time.
My 2020's engine failed at 7000 km, but after getting it replaced under warranty, I'm at 80,000 km, I've taken it on 5000km round-trip road trips around the Canadian great lakes and it's been super reliable, fuel efficient and comfortable. If you're diligent, you can easily get almost 50 mpg on the highway.
the NGS sounds like something straight out of Need For Speed
Need Gor Speeed = NGS.
Hyundai really stepped up there game in the performance division on the Elantra N. But I'll wait until it be on a second hand market because I'm not going to buy it new if I have to pay between $500-$800 a month in car payments regardless of my credit and between $250-$475 a month in insurance premiums because of inflation.
Looking at $681 per month for a brand new one for 72 months at current interest rates. My insurance as a 22 year old male is a couple bucks under $200 a month in one of the highest costing auto insurance states of Florida. I bought a '22 with 10,000 miles for $30,000 even last month. The deals are out there for sure and I would shop around insurance wise
Great car but not a single person would take an N over a Type-R if price wasn't a factor.
I think some people will pick this over the Civic Type R just because it has an automatic transmission while that Type R doesn't. It makes for a good daily driver that you can take to the track on the weekends.
@@damilolaakanni fair point about the auto trans. My comment was more aimed at thr manual transmission models. Impossible to beat the shifter feel of a Honda for the price point.
Eh I had a 2019 Civic Type R in Sonic Grey Pearl for over 3 years and I traded it in for my 2023 Elantra N in Cyber Grey and I have no regrets
@@luisarreguin2202 I've driven both and the transmission alone puts the Type-R in a completely different league
@anthonykiedis1765 agreed that the shifter in the honda is much more refined and overall a higher quality shifter and gearbox. I will say, ive seen people go for the N just for the fact that it has a great exhuast and leaves very little desire for aftermarket modifications. Coupled with the warrenty, there is definitely a strong argument for going for the N over the type R unless youre dead set on precision, refinement, and track performance.
Really? The Elantra N fails the Big Friggin Bottle test? But the bottle goes in and down. Does it not stand up on its own or something? 😅
i had the same car for 2 days, wanted to replace my very humble 09 cobalt ss, this thing is way too big and heavy, its really not as fun to trash into a corner like my car, but it feels better than the complete japaneese competition and better than the gli, then i went to a hyundai tech and look at the warranty claims because reviews never says the thurth, no thanks its even worst then the turbo mazdas i work on and almost as bad as turbo hondas and toyotas, asians fun cars are all garbage now...
Way too big and heavy? This thing is a track weapon stock, for the price, so maybe you need to take it for a month or so, instead of just 2 days. 😆
No NOTHING😂
