    I’m sorry to say, it absolutely DOES represent the ‘Goodfellas experience’, because that WAS Davey’s experience... it is what it is, you can’t just pretend that one customer’s bad experience isn’t an experience; it doesn’t matter if it’s a national pizza reviewer, a regular customer, or a one time traveller through town...

    • @EmperorMingg
      @EmperorMingg 4 года назад +26

      Hubaldo Saldana I’m saying that any experience is a valid experience, just because it isn’t one that favors them doesn’t invalidate it as an experience

    • @EmperorMingg
      @EmperorMingg 3 года назад +10

      @Hubaldo Saldana but it’s not just about the pizza... it’s about his experience there; You don’t have to be a trained pizza chef to enjoy a slice. For example, if someone had gone in there and a staff member called him “a fucking queer”, then this person would have had a negative & homophobic experience. It would also apply to racial experiences, and any negative one you can think of. If there was a dog meat pizza, that counts as a bad experience, regardless of whether or not it was the only one they’d ever made. It doesn’t matter who Dave is, the point is that just because they say it’s not the usual Goodfellas experience, doesn’t make it so. That was his experience and he’s right to say what he said. And that jerk off employee, wow

    The employee was knowingly being filmed, he was rude and snarky about the entire thing. The restaurant knew the pizza reviewer was in lex too. Why not let people film outside your business, you should welcome social media. Free publicity!
    Goodfellas Pizzeria owner Alex Coats said Tuesday morning knew that Portnoy and Barstool Sports were in Lexington and had alerted managers to be ready in case he dropped by; he’d reviewed their Indianapolis location a few years earlier and liked the pizza. So he wanted Lexington to be ready.

Then, BEFORE he was confronted by anyone, he said the pizza was cold as his genuine review. The restaurant didn't know he was coming in or even know who he was when he ordered, so that just shows that they serve cold pizza to their customers. Had he said who he was, then they would have gone out of their way from their usual process to make sure it was made perfectly which defeats the purpose of popping in unannounced.

    You give THEE biggest pizza review guy a half-assed cold slice of pizza and then send your dorky manager out to rudely kick him out when they try and review it and they are surprised that this happened? What do you expect? If there is one person in the world who you want to impress with your pizza it is Davey Portnoy.

    If they gave a good slice of pizza and good service they would be saying how great it was having barstool because they would have received positive reviews. Imagine that, consequences for your actions

    It shouldn't matter whether it's a wildly popular reviewer or anyone else. No one wants cold pizza! The snarky employee didn't help.

    I don't think Portnoy did anything wrong. And I don't think he should have been kicked out or told to leave the patio area either. Yeah, the establishment made a mistake. But the real bad guys here are Portnoy's emotionally attached fans who want to review bomb remotely.

    Kind of a misleading news story. He went there, didn't make a huge deal of 'celebrity' or anything like that. Was given a cold piece because the people working couldn't be bothered and then got kicked out immediately by a pizza worker with an ego and authority complex well above what a pizza worker should have lol. They treated him badly because they just though he was another average customer and could get away with it.

    • @turtlepowersf

      Imagine charging money for a shit-quality product and then kicking someone out for pointing that out. I tend to believe Dave when he said it was cold, in which case, he should have recieved an apology and an offer for a new, hot slice. Instead, this gangly looking dickhead comes out crying about "MY" patio and then kicks him out with as much smugness and condescension that you could fit in two sentences. You must also be an asshole who justifies being an asshole because you aren't happy with the choices you made in life. BTW, 2 years later this ass still works at that "shit" job. Guess he's a glutton for punishment.

    The restaurant owner says this is now the goodfellas experience, but your employee kicked him out for filming on the sidewalk, not even inside the restaurant. Last I checked the sidewalks and roads are state property.

    That's the customer service anyone filming themselves eating would get. Guy didn't know he signed his own death warrant and had this not been as famous, he would have kept doing it.
    Show how he talked to them next time so everyone can see why they got a 0.0
