When you decide to push through it's always an instant regret but when we reach the destination it is one of the most amazing feelings. Another beautiful edit and narration. ❤
Thank You for getting this out sooner than later! I am really enjoying your trek!! And don't feel bad if you have to spend an extra day or two at a tea house you are on your trek not on someone else's timeline relax and enjoy and don't forget to stock up on the snickers bars!! 🥰
I also trekked to Everest Base Camp without taking a flight. It took me 12 days, from October 16th to 27th, 2022, to complete the EBC trek. Additionally, I successfully crossed Cho La Pass during that trek. This was my second trek, with my first being to Tsho Rolpa Lake.
I wish & hope you will one day do the K2-BC trek in Pakistan. It is 5x harder than this but the views & beauty is mindblowing. Accept the challenge for the future ✅️
Thanks for the immersive experience!! Would love to know more on how to prepare for the hike, things to take, insurances to buy and permits to obtain. Would appreciate a short video covering all the aspects of your trip in terms of planning the whole thing out.
Wonderful videos, I did it with a flight to Luckla in December and wondered if it could be done without the flight ,which you've answered ,watched a lot of EBC trek videos, yours brought back a some wonderful memories
15:13 the hotel owner is correct, a major portion from Namche to Tengboche is fairly flat followed by a steep incline. I was about to make the same mistake when I was there just a month back. There main trail is not there in maps.me. But hey, a missed trail is a great story ✌🏻
Great trek so far. There's always ups and downs but you two are handling it well. We're hoping to do EBC this year, so thanks for sharing! Safe travels!
Agree. And it’s also unlawful to do it without a guide. I understand the courage it took to do this trip but it’s not ethical or responsible to share this trip without local Nepali services.
Your videos are beautiful! Thanks so much for listing your camera gear. Been looking at the s5ii lately. Your footage looks amazing. Would love to know if you’re shooting in a log profile and if you’re doing some color grading or if these are colors from a standard profile in camera. Thanks so much! Can’t wait to see more. I’m binging your old videos now ❤
Hi Flora, If I would be you trekking or hiking, I would avoid drinking tea. Pros of pure organic tea are: anti-infalmmatory, provides anti-oxidants and relaxes body temporarily (by opening up arteries) Cons of tea: Contains caffeine, which increases blood pressure, deprives sleep, increases heart beats or can cause irregular heart beats, shortness of breath, and is also bad for kidneys and liver etc. Many people get addicted to caffeine because when you stop taking it, migraines will hit you hard. Tea also contains tannins, which blocks absorptions of proteins (if consumed), iron, zinc and calcium. It also causes vitamin B1 defficiency, which in turn causes anxiety. Conclusion: If you must drink tea, do not drink just before or right after the meals (drink 2-3hrs later). Loose organic green tea is better than black tea because it contains less tannins. Also, if using tea bags, they must be bleach free. Only use purest water available to make tea. Drink tea in it's purest form as well (No milk, no additives, no herbs etc).
You probably drank too much chai and water at Namche Bazaar that makes you wanna always pee 😅. The altitude sickness pills will only make you feel drowsy as part of its side effect.
Just love your vlogs❤️💝 based on positivity, pureness and a lot of entertainment, your content is just amazing❤️ would love to host you in pakistan in our house, lots of love from Pakistan❤️
I wonder why you chose to hike the usual Tengboche route as there is a much more impressive high trail on the other side of the valley. The Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche High Scenic Trail offers vastly more amazing views high across the valley, lots of wildlife and practically no other trekkers. Only come down via Tengboche, makes absolutely no sense to hike the same low trail twice when there is a superior alternative available. You did not even have a guide to force you (they have no imagination) and could have walked any better route you have available.
No and diamox is only needed if you experience bad symptoms. For the vast majority of people the EBC trek is doable. Just prepare before and be fit, don’t push over your limit, go slow, acclimatize, stop and descend if you feel really bad, eat well and drink a lot of water, eat garlic a lot. I’ve done this trek twice and I can’t see any reason to take meds before the trek.

The soft music blends so well with your personality and the landscape. Can't wait for act three.
When you decide to push through it's always an instant regret but when we reach the destination it is one of the most amazing feelings.

Thank you, I hope you make it there! So worth it 😌 safe travels to you too!
The Nepalese people make a living by being porters and guys for western trekers You should respect that and hire a porter and a guide.
Agree. And it’s also unlawful to do it without a guide. I understand the courage it took to do this trip but it’s not ethical or responsible to share this trip without local Nepali services.

It's skip bro not skip
How did you trek to basecamp without a porter? I thought it was law to go with a licensed guide and porter as of april 1 2023?
Hi Flora, If I would be you trekking or hiking, I would avoid drinking tea.

I Loved the Color Grading
No pain no chowmein love that
I think if u wanna do more hike/backpacking in the future, u must learn and try the Ultralight concept.

Great video!
How much are you carrying, the both of you?
Flora, why don't you try Makalu Base Camp next time? Way more raw.
❤
Trots op jullie 🤍
🥰🥰🥰
❤❤❤
Nice video. But diamox is no prevention. It should only be a last resort...
snickers 😂 its on top of my packing list
hey do you think july would be a good time to do the base camp trek?
Hi I would like to do this trek in October. I read online also on a Nepal government website that a guide is mandatory. It is not true?
They changed the rule just months ago 😅
can you plz tell me which app are using to edit video
If you didn't go to Khumjung and directly go to Namche- Tengbuche it would take 4-5 hours. 😅
still not on the base camp 😢
Annapurna circuit or everest base camp which one is best
I'd say Annapurna - but only if you hike the entire trail from Besisahar to Nayapul! It's the variety of the landscape that makes this hike so special
We are waiting on you to Afghanistan 🇦🇫
Hiking without a guide, is that allowed??
Please tell me the name of LUT it's so brilliant
Please please please
which app u used to get the map ?
oskar is the guyy
8:48 No pain, No chowmein! lol
blame the wheel xD

U : He is my Boyfriend
Oscar: I am ? 🤔
U : Are You ?🤨
🤣🤣Lol ❤
Hello Oskar!
I thought it is legally required to hire a guide for hiking everest base camp ? Am i wrong ?
10:54 drink a lot of chai.
Warning! chai will convert you :D
It has converted a lot of foreigners into Indians lol
19:28 not to complain about my load. that was nice :)
How many kilos your pack?
Dont think doing the EBCT without a guide is permitted: you would not get through either of the two check points without a qualified guide
I wonder why you chose to hike the usual Tengboche route as there is a much more impressive high trail on the other side of the valley. Part 3??
I like you guys
Taking Diamox without having altitude side effects isn't really a smart idea because of its side effects
Where is the porter
Do you really need to take those meds?
No and diamox is only needed if you experience bad symptoms. For the vast majority of people the EBC trek is doable. Just prepare before and be fit, don’t push over your limit, go slow, acclimatize, stop and descend if you feel really bad, eat well and drink a lot of water, eat garlic a lot.
I’ve done this trek twice and I can’t see any reason to take meds before the trek.
