- Welcome to my channel! I'm Flora, and I've spent the last two months travelling as a solo female through Pakistan. My goal is to show what it's truly like to not only travel here, but also to hitchhike here - specifically as a female foreigner.
In this video, I'll take you along on a my hitchhiking experience from Skardu to Shigar, Khaplu, and Hushe Valley. I'll share the challenges, the unexpected twists, and the heartwarming encounters with the Pakistani people who went out of their way to help me. It’s been quite a ride!
Hitchhiking not only turned out to be a practical way to travel but also an amazing way to connect with locals and experience the incredible Pakistani hospitality. It's all about the unexpected and the thrill of not knowing where you'll end up next.

Last month I was in Berlin airport leaving for Pakistan and I forgot something important in my Berlin apartment, 35 mins before my boarding. I came out of the security and was literally begging people to give me a phone (Long story short) NOT A SINGLE PERSON was kind enough to give me a phone, everyone was making faces as if I was a beggar or something. That's when I realized People from the global south are the kindest people I have ever seen in my life. When I landed at Islamabad airport, I had no phone again because of PTA, asked a person for a phone and he gave it to me right away.

British citizen here. Stop poisoning and shooting street animals in so called Islamic Republic of pakistan. A family murdered in sahiwal highway by police. No justice served. Double crossing Fraud DisHonesty common. Due to these .... women other females in West travel & disappear in these countries.
global south? maybe its time to redefine the so called developed world as the real third world...
In world many countries like india call us a terrorist country but Pakistan is No1 in hospitality ❤
@@MRKING-jz1oqand yeah people like you in our community are the worst one in anything you put your neighbor country and accuse them, I Wana sujjest you bro live your life without being too complicated don't think anyone as bed, everyone have there own goods and bed, I have been in India and the people over their are totally different from what I was expecting, I thought they would be same as shown in media but no they were too kind specially ladies out their, I faced a issue there and one of lady helped me to resolve it, so please do not watch from third person eyes instead your eyes and see the beauty of world

Although all places in Pakistan are amazing for tourism, but Northern Areas are the most beautiful tourist places like anywhere in the world. The Pakistani people are very hospitable. Foods are also good. Diverse traditions and culture.

Ha, I got turned around by the military, too, despite even having government documents supposedly giving permission to go further. Sometimes, I think it just depends on what kind of mood they are in. I also got in trouble for taking pictures of a mountain across the valley while at another checkpoint. Sadly, they made me delete all of those. Anyway, great video! Makes me miss that area.
