But Gilgit-Baltistan is especially unique because it has 5 of the world's eight-thousanders, over 7,000 glaciers-more than anywhere else outside the polar regions. It’s no wonder foreign tourists, in particular, call it a paradise for mountaineers and hikers alike. And no doubt Flora is doing a really good job in promoting all this. Dear flora, The end became so philosophical. I've been on tours for sometime and i don't do much photography or videography because that kind of distracts me from absorbing the surroundings that I'm in. And there have been times when i couldn't go the whole distance so i kind of enjoyed being where i was instead of regretting where i couldn't be. It's not about achieving as much as it is about letting yourself be part of wherever you're and being content with it, being one with it.
You've shown me such amazing places that now I feel like visiting them too. I used to think about other countries, but as they say in Urdu, 'ghar ki murgi daal barabar' (you don't appreciate what's at home). I never imagined this beauty here. Thanks, Flora! I did that river crossing and had a complete panic attack, sobbing mid way across there and back 😭 definitely without a doubt the most scared I’ve ever been in my life. While the video shows that it’s steep - when you’re there it’s 1000x steeper! Wish I knew there was another way around!!
