Guide the way Eric… I’ve raised my kids into adulthood as a single parent, retired from my soul-crushing corporate job and turn 60 in nine days. My journey starts now as well ✌🏼
this is one heck of inspiring video! thanks for making awesome content and just being personable, human and someone that that we can respect and kids look up to! amazing!
Your adventurous passion is infectious Eric and I thank you for sharing it with the community you have created. You have said you aren't a fan of you talking to the camera, but these few videos where you have done that recently, have so much soul in them and I feel are truly your best works of art. They're raw, they're real and they're you! Good luck with your upcoming race and cheers to another fabulous video!
Thanks for bringing us along on the journey and sharing those very personal thoughts. The most important part of all of this is you're doing what your inner self feels the need to do. If we could all live life that way, the world would be an even better place.
Love it my one sided friend. Legitimising Tri in the way you want and can (time and energy) do it. Thank you for making me feel like a triathlete again.
Thank you. Love all the videos and pods but this hit me right. 52 year old just diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Realize my racing career might be over but now the mission is to work out to be able to do the adventures - mountain biking, hiking with the family, whatever seems fun at the time. you keep the motivation going.
Eric, you’re the OG. We love everything you’ve created and the inspired way you’ve shone a light on chasing adventure as a lifestyle. We’ll go wherever you take us.
I can appreciate the head-space your in. My Buddies and I use to get together and do a big swimming, bike, hiking camping adventure over a couple of days. I need it again. Thanks for reminding me.
I do hate it when I miss these mid week premiere vlog drops, but all present now! You know Eric I have been in the triathlon community as a whole for some 32 years now, I still race but the older I get the more I really appreciate the journey this sport has taken me on, and at 62 almost I have begun to realize that although racing is still great, it is not the be all and end all. Its more about the years of wellbeing this lifestyle has given me. At 62 still able to pull on a pair of running shoes and just run, still able to swim in the pool or lake, and still able to ride the bike. Sometimes more than ever before its about the fulfillment, of knowing your part of a great community of like minded people that want to make their lives more of an adventure . Than just the crossing of the finish line. Much love from the UK, David x
Eric's version of 3 sports sounds incredible. I love these videos where you are truly in your element, happy and free. I can't believe you almost didn't post this one. Truly awesome. Keep doing you and we'll keep supporting you (and Paula and Flynn of course).
Dude…. This video is so good. You hit on so many great things. This channel is the perfect mix of everything I love… nature activities, triathlons/fitness and exploration. Thank you!
Thanks so much for telling me! I was actually thinking about this video earlier today wondering why it didn't seem to do very well. I loved it, so I'm glad to hear you did too :)
You make it really hard for others to compete against your videos... and from what i see, you are raising the bar even higher. Follow your dreams and share them with us. I can't wait.
You got it right man! The sports we do enable so much more than just racing triathlons. They enable adventures that go beyond the normal and allow us to experience what lies just that mile further than most other people get the opotunity to see. I can't wait to see what you do!
Another great one! I feel that topic. Adventures is more important than competition. This is why I left triathlon; the latter started to eclipse the former. Cheers.
Love this and feel it all too well. Been feeling very similar in my ultra career, I'm ready to be guided by my joy more than the pursuit of just results.
Keep this content coming! Super insipirng, I feel a lot the same way about triathlon, really not having the same fun racing than just going out on the mountains and enyoing the three sports in one day, or incporing a climbing route on a big running day or stuff like that. Loving your message!!
thanks Eric for opening of your words. so refreshing to see this. I know you guys have to make a living from this content but dang sometimes is very hard to consume such heavily ad content in your vids. so this was a very honest and different one and really enjoy it, wish you and paula the best!
Love it, Eric! Thanks for sharing so much. I can relate deeply to what you talked about. Especially how you live your life through the adventure of sport.
Wow Eric, away from the concrete jungle and into nature at its best,if you never try you will never know, blaze your own trail nature will guide you to where you must be 😊🌻
Love it as always. So motivating! Do you have a little point and shoot? What one do you have? Looked like you were taking a photo when you were riding.
There is nothing like being able to use your fitness to do cool shit. I will always swim, bike and run and I still make sure to race at least one tri per year to keep my 30+ year streak alive, but in recent years I have been using my fitness mostly to explore nature via backpacking, bikepacking, backcountry skiing, gravel riding, or some combination of those.

Go pursue your passion, Eric!

The Corbin’s dog with a shoe at 4:35 got me😂
I wonder who's shoe it was?
These videos inspire me on my triathlon journey like Warren Miller did for me with skiing when I was a younger get man.

Love this video! It's the validation I need to just do the cool things I like even if they aren't the traditional things people are doing.

Eric is starting his "Heather Jackson Era" and I'm all for it
I was thinking the same thing.
Definitely! And it also helps and motivates me to keep doing the sport but not competing whilst having a small one at home.
Yep. I constantly think Eric is so much like Heather! Gravel races, ultras....
Keep following your heart and your passion. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and skills with us 🔥

I'd argue we are pretty light on the plugged "ads" in our videos.
So inspiring! ❤
Another great one. Incredible that you doing this videos by yourself while training as a pro. All the best for you and Paula!
Love it, Eric! Thanks for sharing so much. I can relate deeply to what you talked about. Especially how you live your life through the adventure of sport.
