I'm glad to see BDR has hooked with Mosko Moto. They compliment each other, both great moto enthusiasts. They create a better world.

Secret Stuff 1: Dinner at the Diamond Hotel is a lifetime experience. Great food, and the dinner is served at the tables... and you are seated with strangers. After a few minutes, talking with the other guests, they pretty quickly turned into friends. Some of them had been coming there for years. Next morning we said goodbye at breakfast.
IMHO: That is some old school awesome stuff.

I hope they create more of these BDR-X routes. They seem to be the perfect mix for those who can't break away for extended time periods for a full BDR or who try to accomplish a BDR in as short of time as possible due to life conflicts.
Inna must have been really cooking that gravel road to high center her bike on that concrete pylon. Very fortunate it wasn't a worse outcome. Glad she was okay and lucky there happened to be a doctor with a plane right there!

My friend and I just rode the PA Wilds BDR-X a couple of weeks ago. It was awesome!!! Some of the best roads I've ever ridden. We rode 650 miles in 4 days. The perfect shorter adventure ride. Thanks BDR for putting together such a rad route! I'd love to see more BDR-X routes in the future.

This loop looks epic! Planning to do this solo on the 1290 SAR in September, can't wait. The BDR team film work is superb, as always!

WOW! I’m stoked to do this along with the ORBDR! Just finished the NMBDR (last 4 segments solo), going to complete 1 segment each on COBDR and WYBDR so I can call those done in 2 weeks, then finish last 4 segments of UTBDR (broke collar bone in Lockhart Basin in 2016 so never finished UT). 4 BDR’s will finally be completed in just under 3 months this summer and looking forward to riding IDBDR, ORBDR, and MABDR in the next year or two. Thanks for a great vid! Great job taking care of your teammates. I had to get a friend of mine back from NMBDR segment 1 in early June as he broke his right leg. It happens. Always great to see you folks working together in all aspects of your rides.

I enjoy watching all you're content. Ride save

I do this route every year.Just came home yesterday from being down there for the week. The Steens loop is still closed due to snow. We camped at Narrows this time and it was in the 30's each night and only 50's in the days. We had rain everyday and coming down from north loop from the turn around (were gate is closed) we were hit with a blinding snow storm. Due to the cold we skipped Alvord and are going back in August. FYI - Narrows was out of gas while we where there. Frenchglen mercantile also was "Closed until further notice" so you purchase the gas at the coffee shop next door.

Good scenery, saw a fire burning up the mountain from Mann lake last summer. Remember, Steens is a single mountain not a range.

This is a great route before tackling the entire Oregon BDR. The only thing I don’t see on the gpx file is where is the stone house. Would love to take my son there

I don't own an adventure bike or a Jeep and I'm wondering why BDR seems to be overwhelming a bike thing? Sorry for the question if there's an obvious answer.

Secret Stuff 2: Great way to explore that country is to start from Cedarville. Lots of great day rides... some challenging and some easy. High Rock Canyon, Soldier Meadows, Summit Lake, Badger Mountain, Stevens Camp, Gerlach, Black Rock Playa, Catnip Lake, Denio, Sheldon Antelope Refuge, 20 mile cutoff, Dismal Swamp... etc etc. Stay at Sunrise motel (owned by great people), or out at the Hot Springs Resort. (Memories of sitting in a Hot tub staring up at the Milky Way.) Janet's "Country Hearth" has great breakfasts too.

Eastern Oregon dust is really brutal, agreed, some of the worst I have ever seen. years ago we rode in Milican which was awesome but you'd wait a good 2 minutes after your buddy left so you could just sorta see lol.
