My Friend Pedro was quite prominent a while back, so prominent, and so different from the original Flash game that most players didn't know it came from Flash. Strike Force Heroes Remastered has been announced for steam, and not only revamps the visuals, but improves on the gameplay of the flash games and will have a multiplayer mode.

Love the homage and promotion. Glad to see that there’s a Decision with sustenance taken into account. Loved Decision: Medieval the most among the series even tho I loved the others too. I just wished you featured more of the first Madness Project Nexus as much as how you featured the others. You haven’t went into much specifics, such as arena mode that could be good for casual playing for its replayability (imo), the tac bar, using barrels as cover, deflecting bullets to take out enemies and the mechanic where you have to damage the helmets of the giants with fists or melee weapons iirc. All of that could have promoted the game better if the watcher isn’t convinced yet with what you have shown. All in all tho I’m still glad that there’s more love for Flash games up to this day. Keep ‘em coming!
Fair! I probably should have spent less time talking about the Madness universe, and instead talked about the mechanics specific to the MPN Classic, seeing as the full release does make use of so many of the specific features the Flash game introduced. In hindsight, it seems like an obvious flaw in how I approached that one. Good feedback!!
god the HOURS i spent on arena mod in the original project nexus. The game starts to chug when you reach the really late endgame with a full party wielding miniguns lol
Couldn’t reach that far ‘coz the lag’s killing me when there’s several G03LMs and A.T.P. Soldats tumbling around on top of deflecting the bullet rain. A chain of critical shots gets me everytime which I could have dodged if not for the lag lol. I think there’s a lot of similar reviews (some were outright rants) on NG about that. Game’s got flaws but it’s well made and enjoyable. Such a grand classic.

Thank you for featuring Chibi Knight! I remember stumbling on this game randomly as a child and it blew my mind so much I wished there were more games out there with similar gameplay (as a kid, I had never heard of Zelda games before). Also for some reasons it was very obscure despite its supposed popularity (none of my friends had any recollections of it) so til this day I consider it a tiny secret gem that I was fortunate enough to experience.
Man, now I'm feeling nostalgic. SMB Crossover, Plazma Burst (especially the second one), Thing Thing Arena, My Friend Pedro, Exmortis...so many hours well spent.

As a UK lad, my friends, my family and i grew up on Friv, 2player games, miniclip, teamopolis and cool maths games. It would be quite difficult but i think each vid would only need to >10 mins long
Enjoyed this video and I think the details are nice! I didn’t expect the Repella Fella plug but it was funny, and interesting knowing its history, same with Chibi Knight which I haven’t heard of before
Glad it was integrated how I intended, rather than being forced or overly transparent xD I wanted to approach it as being informative first, and a plug second!
Finally, after a lot of years, this video helped me find game i couldn't remember! I played chibi knight a lot when I was a kid, I remeber evenings I spent playing this awesome game. I can't thank you enough
The Madness series was a big part of my childhood. I loved the animations and the some of the fan made games were really fun as well. I'm so glad they're still around, totally getting the Madness game on steam now!
Oh my god!! I literally cried when seeing Chibi Knight. I remember playing it as like 7-9 years old and i didn't even know to read yet. I literally count that game as a mayor part of my childhood, my brain still remembers how i beat the final boss like 9 times xD. Astounding video as always! Keep it up!
I guess you could say "Last wicket in the innings" For the cricket analogy. It's a shame flash is gone. I imagine it helped alot of people get into game development animation etc.
Wooooo! Madness Combat! I have been playing madness games since my childhood and I was one of the lucky people to play Project Nexus since the alpha! Project Nexus is such a fun game that I HIGHLY recommend playing it. The game is even better if newcomers watch the playlist of the whole series of Madness Combat before you play it. I still or will continue to come back to the game. This series is my comfort series.
hearing madness in this video put a smile on my face remembering the chaotic fun i would have watching, also 2 left thumbs thanks for making me feel nostalgic
Castle Cat was pretty simple but was really fun in my opinion, I heard they're actually making Castle Cat 5 but in HTML now. Castle Cat 4 was a bit too much of a change, and it seems they got back to the original classic style 2 and 3 had. (1 was more like a demo really, 2 and 3 adding attacks such as the cannon and mace throw. 3 even added a leopard skin, so I guess that's one of the earliest example for skins in video games lol.) Maybe you can make an entire video about the Mausland games, all of them are pretty wacky and creative. For example Castle cat, Miami shark, Aggressive alpine skiing, Honey bunny, Go go plant, Franks Adventure (which was a mature game so beware), etc. etc.
OH MY GOD... I HAVE BEEN LOKING FOR THE PAST YEAR TO FIND SWORDS AND SOULS BECAUSE I HAVE SUCH GOOD MEMORIES OF IT BECAUSE I PLAYED IT AS A KID THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU MADE MY WHOLE YEAR TODAY . I WILL SUB AND LIKE EVERY VID MAN I LOVE YOU
These games formed my life. I never found anyone talkting about Decision and the Souls series. This Video warmed my heart. Dont say you also played Chaos Faction 2, Armor Mayhem, Treasure Seas Incorporated, Freeway Fury 1-3, Ace Gangster Taxi, Arcuz II: Dungeons and GROW Cube? To just name a few I played a LOT, but nobody seems to talk about them. Im so happy to have the Flashpoint archive since the switch at the end of 2020, because without it my heart would miss a piece, that could not be replaced. Thanks a lot for that nostalgia kick and the words I always thought but never heard from Decision, Rouge Souls 2 and Sword and Souls. Have a great day!
One other game that comes to mind is Strike Force Heroes, the series is coming back with Strike Force Heroes Remastered, look it up if you're a fan, it's completely insane!!
OMG!! RRAYY! I was trying to figure out what the name was a couple weeks ago cause I got hit with nostalgia! Thank you so much! Will definitely check out the other game coming out.
Ray and Sword & Souls were some of my childhood flash games, I come back to play them yearly or when I'm bored but when flash ended it kinda stopped. I'm glad to know they are branching more .
When I was younger I spent HOURS playing the Fancy Pants games, and I learned recently that it has a steam release called Super Fancy Pants Adventure! It has incredible fluid platforming, amazing animation for being a stickfigure game, and a short playtime of about an hour and a half or so (going off my steam hours, I've played the game a lot and have 6.1 hours in it so.) To anyone who loved these games, check it out on steam, it's one hell of a nostalgia trip.
This brings great nostalgia, I am not sure how much this game was popular, but a turn based strategy flash game called Renegades was continued and now in steam we got Recon Control. Now we might even have continuation of Strike force heroes which was great. Also great video.
FnF is the reason i came back to madness! i remember seeing the animations when i was really young, although I eventually forgot about them, going on to watch whatever the hell had my interest at the time, and I had forgotten about madness combat for quite a few years. Come the release of the tricky mod, I just *knew* something was familiar about that name, and lo and behold, here I am one of the many people who raved on about the new nexus, buying it day one, making countless grunt ocs, my own little universes and so on. Yes, there are a lot of young people in the fandom now due to said surge from the fnf mod, but so what? Let them enjoy it. I am extremely thankful for the mod as otherwise i probably would've had that lingering thought in the back of my head until nexus was finally announced! Here's to 20 years of madness!
Yoooo someone finally mentioned Decision Man love that game, from the medieval to the modern one man And also when you unlocked the sword and shield...man it's just slash and shout
One flash game I would like to see on this series is Phoenotopia. It was well received when launched back in 2014, which originally prompted the developers to make a sequel before pivoting to a remake instead. The lead dev even has a blog you can visit if you want to look at the development process behind the original title and it's remake.
one of my favorite flash games was Intrusion. It's a run 'n' gun game with cool ragdoll physics. It even got a sequel on steam for 7 bucks. Highly recommend it.
My favorite madness game is Madness Retaliation the game is a classic to me the gameplay was so fun and the feeling of getting more powerful the more armor and weapons you find is great
Epic battle fantasy, infectonator, kingdom rush, gemcraft, Henry Stickmin (from the same developer of Among us), the trader of stories, ball factory, dead detective, fancy pants adventure, submachine, learn to fly, cursed treasure, creeper world, medieval cop, ducklife, pandemics, achievement unlocked, the binding of isaac, meat boy, plant vs zombies, ...
One classic flash game to me I haven't seen mentioned yet is the HeliAttack series, particularly HeliAttack 2 for me. Though now that I'm doing some quick googling it may have been hosted on Miniclip rather than Newgrounds, so it might quite be in your wheelhouse. Also, whatever that fox platforming game you had in the beginning gave me some serious flashbacks, as that was one of the first front page games I every tried just on a whim.
@@2leftthumbs Perfect! Yeah I think it was William and Sly 2 that I played. And since I only ever played HeliAttack 2, I didn't recognize the brief shot of 3. Thanks!

Bro... I played all games in the list i just forgot about them but i had spend a lot of hours and hours in them is good to know they managed to move on and still active to this day whit new games and all
Armed with wings.... I loved that game so much, and did all achievements on steam when It came out. It's still severely underrated, so I definitely recommend to check it out :)
It was on my original list of games to talk about! I didn't realize until I had completed the video that the EPF Collection released on Steam almost immediately after this video! Otherwise I would have made certain that one was included. I'll get it next time for sure!
One of the series of flash games that I think is underappreciated is the sift heads series. For such a simple fps stick figure game I enjoyed every bit of it and with the steam having sift heads reborn I would enjoy it more and more.
Another flash game that got a suite as a Steam game is Lakeview Cabin, which has started on Kongregate and Newground in 2013, then got a new game in 2015 on Steam, Lakeview Cabin Collection, another game in 2019, Lakeview Valley, and yet another game in 2020, Lakeview Cabin 2, which is still in the making. It's quite unknown, yet the dev is really perfectionist about his games, with small details sprinkled throughout every game, a pretty good/cryptic lore, and a really clever game design. It's objectively really good, subjectively it's my favorite franchise, I recommend anyone who wanna check it out to, well, check it out! Anyway, yall have a nice day!
There's a Flash series I've been trying to refind. The first is one of those top down center of the screen zombie base defense games and I quite vividly remember the intro cutscene for one of the sequels having characters say something like "surrounded by zombies you had to fend off? That sound like a game!" then laugh. I remember that because the car then crashes and it's a there's an open world to explore this time. It's kinda really bugging me.
Remember when I said "in no particular order"...? I lied!!!

As a UK lad, my friends, my family and i grew up on Friv, 2player games, miniclip, teamopolis and cool maths games. It would be quite difficult but i think each vid would only need to >10 mins long
Thank you for making this video. I have games I need to play now that you’ve brought them to my attention!
I hope you find some new favourites!
Enjoyed this video and I think the details are nice! I didn’t expect the Repella Fella plug but it was funny, and interesting knowing its history, same with Chibi Knight which I haven’t heard of before
Glad it was integrated how I intended, rather than being forced or overly transparent xD
I wanted to approach it as being informative first, and a plug second!
2nd video of this channel ive seen.
Your content so good bruh keep on keeping man.
Hopefully I can maintain that batting average!
The soul games and the madness are just pure nostalgia
Keep it up!
Ebf5 imo is the best flash game sequel, it's crazy how polished it is!
The nostalgia hits pretty hard with your videos
Flash games originally got me into gaming
Same! Always happy to share that with others :)
Seeing things from the Alpha was nuts! Like, that was already a cool game. But the finished project all those years later was *phenomenal*!!
My god, this video was an incredible nostalgia trip. Thanks for that
This is wholesome , packed with nostalgia and making me wann try stuff i ignored back when i was a kid.. you earned a sub fella
hearing madness in this video put a smile on my face remembering the chaotic fun i would have watching, also 2 left thumbs thanks for making me feel nostalgic
I WILL SUB AND LIKE EVERY VID MAN I LOVE YOU
The Thing-Thing series was one I loved way back when I’d go to the library and play Addicting Games.
I love the background music it’s so nostalgic
the age of wars music in the background at the start was a nice nostalgia hit
Perfect vid, would love to see a part 2! (:
The madness series. I remember watching it when I was 10 years old and now I'm gonna be 20. Damn
Ray and Sword & Souls were some of my childhood flash games, I come back to play them yearly or when I'm bored but when flash ended it kinda stopped. I'm glad to know they are branching more .
i feel old, I played and adored Chibi Knight as a kid.. Probably why I love all things knight nowadays
Dude this is crazy! I'm all here for knowing all these old creations from the old days of Newgrounds. This is some interesting stuff!
Great to hear! That's very encouraging for me, wanting to make more videos like this in the future :)
When I was younger I spent HOURS playing the Fancy Pants games, and I learned recently that it has a steam release called Super Fancy Pants Adventure! It has incredible fluid platforming, amazing animation for being a stickfigure game, and a short playtime of about an hour and a half or so (going off my steam hours, I've played the game a lot and have 6.1 hours in it so.)
To anyone who loved these games, check it out on steam, it's one hell of a nostalgia trip.
This brings great nostalgia, I am not sure how much this game was popular, but a turn based strategy flash game called Renegades was continued and now in steam we got Recon Control. Now we might even have continuation of Strike force heroes which was great. Also great video.
The " Decision " games are such a blast, the tower defense is amazing and doing the side missions are rewarding.
29:36 here comes half of the people watching childhoods
Ahhhh that intro music. Age of war and miragine war. Great rage filled times
I like how whenever a RUclipsr talks about flash they'd use the Age of war soundtrack as background music
Chibi Knight brought back memories i had forgotten long ago
Dude I played Swords and Souls CONSTANTLY back in the day. I never knew it came out with a sequel!
bro rouge soul WAS SOOO GOOD, I WOULD PLAY IT SO MUCH. thanks for giving me a little nostalgia
I just realized that the madness flashlight episode is, probably, more hyped then the games you promote/publish
21:20 lmao, i love how sir pupset just said ". . .,beaten by . . . a moskito...BUT YOU GOT THAT DAMN MOLE!"
Strike force heroes and Tdp4 was a big part of my childhood.
Saw this in your tweet. Pretty cool!
Just seeing the "Armor Games" logo takes me back to those days. Mini Clipps @ Newgrounds flash games. I miss it.
Yoooo someone finally mentioned Decision
Man love that game, from the medieval to the modern one man
And also when you unlocked the sword and shield...man it's just slash and shout
this is a big hit of nostalgia
I never knew about some of these new games- and I loved these flash games when they were out!
I remember playing Rogue Souls 1 for hours and that was my first time playing a single game for hours on end, good times.
My favorite madness game is Madness Retaliation the game is a classic to me the gameplay was so fun and the feeling of getting more powerful the more armor and weapons you find is great
Apparently he's been working on a sequel for YEARS. Latest update I've seen was from 2020
Duuude OMG Swords and Souls 2 😭 It was like one of my favourite flash games to binge as a kiddo
Swords and souls was an amazing game and im so happy neverseen exist.
I never new Madness Project Nexus even existed. I have to play it now.
I remember how shocked I was when I saw that my friend pedro became a full game, good to see there are more old flash games that have evolved
Didn't mean to click tried to swip but now I'm interested
I'll take it!
1:05 has HeliAttack 3. That's the only one I really remember playing. But it was excellent!
And the fox one is from a pair of games, William and Sly.
@@2leftthumbs Perfect! Yeah I think it was William and Sly 2 that I played. And since I only ever played HeliAttack 2, I didn't recognize the brief shot of 3. Thanks!
You’re not gonna talk about that nostalgic music I was related to the game are used to play it I love it 0:00
CHIBI KNIGHT HAS A SEQUEL?!?! THAT WAS MY CHILDHOOD HOW I SEEIOUSLY TRIED SPEEDRUNNING IT BEFORE I KNEW WHAT SPEEDRUNNING WAS HOW TF DID I NOT KNOW THERE WAS ANOTHER
Glad to be able to share that :D
The age of war music makes me so nostalgic
Very awesome video, wish you woulda also brought up the Epic Battle Fantasy series! Surprisingly its made it up to EBF5.
It was on my original list of games to talk about! I didn't realize until I had completed the video that the EPF Collection released on Steam almost immediately after this video! Otherwise I would have made certain that one was included. I'll get it next time for sure!
Neverseen was one of the most amazing games I've played ever, it's a great sequel that made the original look even better
That intro song. Wow so nostalgic.
I played Ray when I was like, 13, I hope Repella Fella turns out well!
One of the series of flash games that I think is underappreciated is the sift heads series. For such a simple fps stick figure game I enjoyed every bit of it and with the steam having sift heads reborn I would enjoy it more and more.
True and it does seem Chris is trying to improve on it
I've been playing Rouge Soul 2 for about 30 minutes and its so much fun to play. I'm actually still playing the game while typing lol.
Strike force heroes is also getting a remake on steam, one of my favorite flash game series of all times, alongside raze
I remember playing Thing Thing for hours as a kid
I played swords and souls all the time on armor games after school when I figured it out it released on steam I put it on my wishlist immediately
Phoenotopia has done this too, from flash game to a full remake with console releases.
It's really good.
SFH just got remastered and is got on Steam :D
this music at the start
instant joy
Daaamn swords and souls it was my fav flash game
Honestly I'm shocked you never mentioned Sonny. That stuff's going strong.
Bro. Swords and Sandals is such a GG Game Series.
As a thing thing fan, I'm honestly surprised that the game didn't at least get an honorable mention as a memorable series
