Another week of waiting for the paperwork for our self built campervan and of course there's an issue, something else to hold us up.. Thankfully we have lots still to do while we wait! In todays video we tackle a nasty job, the worst part of the whole van build actually, we also show off some cheap but handy van life essentials, take a walk to some amazing river beaches and mention that we've got something huge happening next week.. Time to get that old van ready for a big adventure!!!!

Bougainville, very nice but more of a hindrance. We had this at our Spanish property, looks brill when in flower but good god it grows really quick and gets all over the place. Great vid again. Not long now and you will be on thee travels.
We don't care how long the van takes, we just like hanging out with you guys. So don't stress about the time it takes to complete things. There are more than enough beautiful things to see around the village, and really we just want to hang out with you guys. You are what entertains us. Not the van build or the location. It's you we come to see!

It's bougainvillea and the more you ignore them, the better they are. If you feed and water them, they grow lots of thorns instead of flowers
The red bushes are Bougainvilleas. Although they do come in other colours/shades. If you cut them back "too" much they can get long spines/spikes/thorns... but left alone they don't usually get them... as much.
Those white and pink flowered shrubs - with the long leaves - that are around where you were walking along the the river and track, are Oleanders. I only mention them because all parts of the plant are highly toxic to animals and humans... just don't let Dizzy and/or Charlie eat anything that may have come from them or may even have gotten sap from the shrub on it. It will likely make them very, very sick.. it can be fatal.

I will miss your van building, the laughs, the miss-haps, the learning curve, tips & tricks..the innuendoes !. So many people doing van life it makes a change. So many of us especially British would love to be in a white village living the sunshine life, and you are doing it on our behalf ! You remind me so much of a couple I knew when I worked in Ibiza many years ago ! Maybe you can just do "What's On" in the village videos or little not far day trips with the occasional overnighter in a van ! You can do anything as your loyal watchers will be pleased with any output. I always feel elevated and relaxed having watched your updates. 🐶 Thank you for the medicine.

Another lovely video it cheered me up no end after sitting for eight hours in the A&E department for a very brief 5 mins of seeing a grumpy doctor. i'd have rather have been under a van painting. Absolutely love your channel and your fur babies, Charlie looks exactly like our doggy we had 7 years ago (he is in doggy heaven 🕊) his name was Woody and had a unique character ❤️. So when I watch your Charlie and Dizzy it warms my heart. Our fur babies also get daily walks on our beach. Our blind baby loves the beach, she can walk unhindered ❤ 🐾 Safe travels, blessings from South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤

We have a Trelino toilet. After taking the first trip with it, we made adjustments to the amount of compost material but it wasn’t enough to take care of the smell. We now have placed some charcoal sachets to the outside and a “poo gel” powder pack after every poo. This has done the trick.
We use ‘dishpans’ in kitchen and bathroom sinks to capture water then fill bucket to free flush the toilet.
So lovely to see you guys on Thursdays! Your van travels inspired me to try it for myself, even as a solo mature woman. Just returned home to my little 350 sq ft apartment very tired but thrilled by the experience. Everyone says, "You went by yourself?!" I just smile and say "Yes, I'm very capable!"😅 Thank you for sharing all of your hard work, the van build, fixing up your little casa and of course the filming and editing process for RUclips. The bush is called Bougainvillea and you could easily plant it on your terrace. Minimal care required!! Lots of sun.

About the red plant flower at the end, if u take a cutting from that bush and put it in water it will spout roots. Then u can put it into a tub. I have two in my garden a red and a pink one. The red one dies off in the winter, and just blossoms every year in spring. So even if it looks dead it isn't. I took your tips for the money plants too. I now have loads. So thank you. Also they love the sun.

The name of the flower at the end of the video is bougainvillea. I know of 5 colors it can be found in. Wicked thorns on it though.
That bush is a bougainvillea. I love them! But they definitely are very messy. 💕
Hi Nick and Sarah, great to see what you are up to and also the beautiful Spanish countryside! When I had to rust treat my old vehicle back in the UK, I used wax oil in the hollow members below the vehicle and in the sills, ensures that the rust is held back from the inside where it also starts to creep outwards! Have a fantastic weekend! 🎉
The plant is Bougainvillia (spelling might be wrong). Sometimes it’s found in white, which is quite beautiful too.

I think that shrub is a bougainvillea. Pinks, Reds and Oranges. As long as their feet are moist ( not wet) and you keep them in bounds they don't take much work other than that.

You should take your cold beer with you on the walk. You can let the dogs potter & sniff whilst you sit down & enjoy your cold drink...that's what I do!! Cider in the summer & a flask of something hot in the winter. We always take a drink!!

Bougainvillea Sarah just be aware there’s one with spike or thorns and they are nasty and of course the other with none they are very beautiful in flower and also without but the do spread fast but worth it they are a beauty in my opinion a good prune after flowering 👌🏽otherwise no special care required

Beautiful plant is Bourgainvillea.
They are not truly flowers (bougainvillea) they are leaf bracts that are the bright colors. They are beautiful but do have long sharp thorns.

Bougainvillea is GORGEOUS!
You could probably cut a few slips of the wild bougainvillea and set them in water to sprout roots and then plant them. They like to be left alone to do their own thing after that.

Yes bougainvillea as folk have said sadly if you have it in the UK you have to bring it in during winter as will not survive temp below 10c as we have been made aware
