Yep.. Done that for years with Vinny, (our old van)..😅 Do love the oldies but having the luxury of a newer, more reliable vehicle is very, VERY nice even if you get the odd error code pop up! 😅 Thanks so much for watching..
We’ve had that kind of warning coming up on our van for years, always randomly. It doesn’t seem to mean anything, because every time we take it to the garage, they tell us there’s nothing wrong and nothing they can do. Electronics in vehicles is just a nightmare!
I have been subscribed for ages, but I rarely comment. Thanks for making these wonderful videos. I am bed bound, so it's great to live vicariously through them! I'm always surprised that you don't have more subscribers. Your editing skills are awesome. I particularly enjoyed the food making montage. It must've taken you ages to get the timing so spot on. Have a great week!
People are programmed robot slaves of the system thinking happyness starts with extern factors like status, money, material things that means nothing and its relativ and an illusion create by society. If your happyness depend on extern factors you will never be happy because extern factors are endless. Happyness starts inside you. The more people around you, the more expectations, talk about others, lying, frustrations, negativity, jealousy, hate, double standards, own benefits, judge, comparing etc..... reflection of their broken souls. Alone or in solitude you have more strength, peace, power, happyness, freedom and time to reflect and work on yourself and enjoy the simple things in life. Be the light in your own life. No, not feeling superior or better then others but more be carefully and aware. Blessed to you both and your beautiful journey
Could be a abs sensor. Had the same randomly coming on my car. It could be to do with you having the wheels off and the handbrake problem. If it comes on again it will be an easy fix so don't worry.
Thanks so much, yeah we have been reassured by lots of people that this type of thing is quite common and generally a sensor issue rather than the actual bigger problem 😅.. xx
It will be a defective wheel speed sensor you need a code reader to find out which wheel is the issue , should be a cheapish repair only issue is sometimes getting the right sensor , good luck and keep up the great work
Hola ! you lovely people. What a brilliant first proper vlog out and about in the new van. Just loved it 🥰. It's great to see you back on the road and it is bring back so many enjoyable memories of my own fabulous 6 years of wonderful travels through France and Spain, with my darling man .... before I lost him to cancer 😢. Oh how I miss him and that unique life. But you guys do a great job of keeping a big smile on my face, just watching and enjoying your easy vlogs. I hope you both continue collecting more wonderful journeys that let me indulge in my own happy thoughts. Wishing you much joy, hugs to you both - and to the doggies, stay safe, take care and look after each other. Looking forward to next Thursday already 😀🤗 ❤ xx
awwwww, Thankyou so much for the positive feedback and kind words, sorry to hear about your darling man and glad we can bring backs some nice memories for you🥰.. Sending love.. Have a nice weekend xx
Hi sweet people! Yes the highs and lows of being alive is fragile. I've learned alot on being better prepared during some of the lows. Triple digit heat, electrical work being done (house)with limited water, no electric/ac. Going to buy a generator today. Really love you all and respect your fun travels. Hope things get sorted with van ❤❤
I always watch your channel but not commented before. I might be completely off on a tangent but I have had similar warning lights on my vw campervan which disabled ABS and other functions. This was the result of a broken sensor (each wheel has one). It was intermittent at first but then appeared every time. Not sure if that helps. Keep up the great videos 👍
We've been van lifers since 1998, well before the term was coined. Before that we were weekend campervanners. We don't live our whole life in our van (much the same as you) but we still spend more time in the van than we spend in our Spanish apartment. We've had some (many) hiccoughs or even hiccups, through the years but you get through them and go onto the next stage of life. We're presently, very comfortable, in Galicia. Beautiful sunny weather, with beautiful 22° temperatures. We learnt something, eventually 🤣🤣🤣
Awww, lovely Galicia! Could do with being there atm😂😂.. 36 here today but manageable on the coast, just!😆.. Looking forward to visiting northern Spain again soon x
Remember Nick.. LIFE IS an issue. 😅 Anywaysss.. glad you are finding some "cool-ER" weather. Love watching Sarah play in her new kitchen... cooking up yummy creations... and such a lovely private Forest. 🌳 May the Van Sprites continue to keep you safe. 🧚♂️ 🧚♀️. 😊
I'm pleased for you that the vans okay now. I could tell just by looking at Nick's face how he was feeling at first, but hey it all turned out well at the end of the day🤗
Lovely to see Chipiona, I visited a few years ago. My Mum lived nearby for many years. I've shared this with her. Great to see you out in the van again.
Look at you Sarah in that kitchen, love the view from both doors can you imagine even in the artic being able to get those sort of views. here’s to many many more enjoyable videos x
Great to see you out and about again. The van looks fab, and Nick just needs to have a day or two to adjust back to the different pace and environment. You've had a lot of pressure, things out of your control, and it will take a day or two to adjust. Soak up the excitement and fun and chase the gremlins away with a positive mind set (and a few relaxing drinks, as necessary). Take care 👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦
Thanks Geoff! Yeah you’re totally right, just need a little time to adjust back into this lifestyle, it’s been a while! 😅.. Hope you have a great weekend xx
Glad you've begun your adventures and enjoying yourselves. I'm feeling the excitement in both of you. I'm so so pleased for you. You deserve the best. Hugs 💚💚☘️☘️🇮🇪🇮🇪🐱🐱💚💚
Hi Nick, sometimes you can reset a fault light by disconnecting the battery for some 5 mins then reconnecting and then start the engine. I have used this trick several times over the past few years. Good luck in the future.
Hi guys, great to see you again, I've got alot of catching up to do, because I was taken ill in Austria, where I was in hospital 8 weeks, with kidney failure. Quite a scary thing, when you travel solo. But I'm home now and slowly improving. I've got to spend time now going back and watching all your episodes I've missed. Those sensors are so delicate, a bent wire, a bit of dirt etc can be a right pain. Great to see you on the road again. Cheers guys 👍🐸
Sarah carrying the water reminds me of Africa where it was always the women (and children) who fetched the water and usually carried for miles on their heads!
Nice one guys ... it's currently 42c here in Greece .. we have been here 12 weeks (1 week to go) and my goodness it's been an absolute dream ... we will be leaving a little bit of our hearts here in Greece .. to pickup again September 2025 :) Safe travels ...
So glad you're Officially back on the Road with your Van! Sounds like you had an ABS Fault causing the Traction Warning light to come on, hope its just a Fly by night fault! :-)
ESP error. Check the wheel sensors it may be due to one of the sensor wires being rubbed through. This can happen if the brakes were worked on and on of the wheel sensor wires was disturbed making it com in contact with the rim or disc. You can if there is enough lenght rejoin and solder the broken wire or add a short wire lo lenghten and solder it. If that is what is wrong. I should have waited to see the rest of the video. Loose sensor connection.
Aww 🙏🤞its all fine . What a lovely park up lots of Trees for shade 😊 . Its sure is a nice trial run to see how things go, what you have forgotten extra that might be useful ( 😅your list gets longer 😜). Exciting times getting your self sorted for the big Road trip . Have a lovely weekend 🥰
What a beautiful location. Thank goodness you didn't break down, especially on the road with all the rubbish. It's true, things look better in the morning. :)
A lot of vans have “warning light” issues. Take the van to your garage, your mechanic will connect a diagnostic device to the”On board diagnostic “ port located in the fuse box and he will tell you what the issue is. Normally just requires a rest. You can get a diagnostic unit to tell you what the problem is to fix it yourself good luck safe travels 👍🚐👍
Thanks for taking us on your travels in Spain. The way things are going with the Spanish not liking foreign tourists, this is going to be the only way we are going to see Spain in the future. It's going to be sad for some areas that rely on tourism, but perhaps the local Spanish tourists will be enough for those areas to survive.
Next time you're in Germany , go to OBI , Hozelok do a gummy adapter with a butterfly tightening screw on a gummy nozzle that will attach to any tap that doesn't have a screw fitting . Ideal for prestex taps , and get yourself the 2 sizes of brass bayonet fittings too , lots of bayonnet taps in Switzerland
I am genuinely moved by your honest exploration of the highs and lows of van life in Spain, capturing why some people choose to quit. Your candid reflection on the challenges and joys of this lifestyle shows deep insight and empathy. Your willingness to share these experiences helps others understand and appreciate the true essence of van life. And I am Floating Village Life.
Thanks so much.. I think it’s definitely very important to share the highs and lows as there are definitely lots of them😅.. This lifestyle is great but can so easily become stressful quickly too! Thanks so much for watching..😁
On the fault. A couple of easy checks. First the earth straps battery and gearbox. Also read that the brake pedal sensor can throw up a fault. Both cheap check and fix. Great to see you on the road again ❤
We had a Citroen Nemo and the hill holder warning light used to come on. Turned out to be a computer error because that model didn’t have that function! Lovely to see you out on the road again. X
Velton is looking great. Katy wants me to paint her wheels like Velton's. As for the warning lights, I bet you never had tha ESR light and Hill Start Assist lights come on on Vinnie! My first thoughts with regards to that problem was an open circuit on a wheel sensor. So hopefully your loose connection was the source of the problem. Now you can enjoy some adventures in Velton. I'm looking forward to "coming along with you".
Nice to see you all back out doing what you love and the Velton is finally finished. I wouldn’t worry too much about the warning light. When it next goes in for any work maybe mention it. My tyre pressure light comes on sometimes even though I know the tyre pressure is fine. Enjoy your adventures, great to see the boys enjoying themselves. Take care 😊👍😊
Ok.. Thanks so much.. I guess we just need to get use to the van, the warning lights often aren’t what they seem so we’ve read and the cans been fine since so hopefully no issue😅.. xx
All that hard work finally paying off! Ignore the warning light, it can only be something very minor and shouldn’t be a problem. Get it checked out if it makes you feel better when you get home, but in the meantime enjoy Velton, try to relax and have fun! Maybe a week off without filming is what you really need, but I bet you don’t do it. We would miss you but I think you need a break and an actual holiday without having to constantly think how to entertain us! Most of all have a great time! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the feedback and yes you are probably right, we’re just not use to all the electrics of these newer vehicles 😅.. We do enjoy filming and making videos and of course it is our job too! Having a week off! Nah, we can’t do that 😂😂😂
Electrics in vehicles. Mostly simple glitches Simple solution just disconnect the battery for seven seconds and bingo it rests itself result. Most commercial trucks nowadays have a isolation switch fitted so battery can be disconnected very easy sollte for this reason Try it Guys I m so glad for you now your back to van life Go enjoy and keep these vlogs coming we love em. Xx gadgit xx I’m on boat life and loving it xx
Nice be on road again. We soon also go. A tip don't remember if you done it,but fix those security things for driver door. Metal thing you install to stop braking in. It take only seconds for them to brake in and it open up central locking.
Unfortunately this is another thing we worry about on the road, we have cameras and take our really valuable items with us but I guess you still need to be prepared! Thanks so much for watching..😁
@@theexPAWers yeah. Ducato, jumper, boxer have very bad lock. They can put in a screw driver under the handle on driver door and it open up central lock. So put the little metal thing inside they can't do so. And backdoor we have extra lock from inside. Steering lock. It is just to make it more problem for them so they take easier car. We go north Scandinavia in Aug. Winter it get axarqia. Happy trip to you all.
Hi there…just a thought re: your multiple warning lights…that sort of thing can happen when your cab battery is low on charge or on it’s way out. You can check the battery with a regular multimeter and you want to see it over 12v…the van seems to start well but you never know when it might give up…thanks for all the content, really enjoyable!
Annoying but all part of the ups and downs of life and the wonderful things in life you experience, makes it all worthwhile 😊 great video as always you so deserve a huge following you keep it real xx
Hi there Guys, great vid as usual, what a great spot amongst the trees and fantastic beach. As you say though shame about the people. It sounds like your warning light is related to a wheel speed sensor connection, I had a similar one on my BMW Z4. Get yourself a can of aerosol contact cleaner and spray all the plugs to the wheel sensors. it will also come in handy if you have any other electrical problems. Look forward to your next adventure, take care and cheers. ❤
I was going to suggest the same, I have one in my camper after a sensor put it into limp home mode, less than 7 pound for ELM327 ODB 2 reader, you can reset the codes on the move if need be. The other thing without a reader often is to turn the ignition on an off 3 times to initialize ( depends on vehicle) but Bluetooth reader is the way forward.
@@theexPAWers Don't go for some cheap Chinese knockoffs. For a basic OBDII scanner that can give you some good diagnostic data for less than 200 euro, go with well-known brands like Foxwell, Ancel, Topdon, Thinkcar and Autel. Some models to consider: Launch CRP123E V2.0; Autel MD806; Foxwell NT630; Foxwell NT510, Ancel AD310. Just compare the features of each one and see which one will be the best bang for the buck, as Americans say 😁👍Cheers and all the best from Poland. Xo
Hi Guy's... our little car that we tow behind us (A fiat 500 we call Daisy), her 'Hill Holder' warning light comes on and then off all the time. We do not worry about it just talk to her nicely and it goes off. We don't think that it is much of a problem. ¡Tecnología! 🤪
Loving that wooded area…Velton seems really comfy. My mechanic says if its an orange light dont worry, but if its red you need to get it looked at. Nice to see you out and about xx
Beautiful location so good to see you back on the road with the babies. We are heading out on Sunday, but we have the Mot tomorrow so hopefully we will get through that and go away at the weekend love to you all see you next week😊
Don't be so hard on yourselves sliding back into traveling. Take your time & enjoy your hard work on Velton. Your subs are still with you. Of the 9 (yikes, that many?) "van life" you tubers I follow, Expawers are the ONLY ones still traveling. All others have bought a house/land (or more than one!) & are no longer van traveling.
Hi Nick Sarah and Doggies , Hope All are well , Great video and your van conversion looks Amazing , very Homely and Smart , Glad to hear your Back on your Travels , Such lovely places you find and look so peaceful there , Yes a Happy life you are living , The land sounds so exciting , well Thank you for sharing , Take care All , XX 🌄👍👍
Good to see you all back on the road....at last! 👏 May I suggest you buy yourself a fault code reader now you have a modern van.... it will save all the guessing and stress of not knowing what's wrong.👍 Also, I can't remember which engine your van has, but if it has a timing belt, and it hasn't been changed recently, I strongly advise that you have it changed before venturing north....they need changing every 5 years. Looking forward to more travelling videos....and I bet you all are as well! 😉👍
Hi guys, I have followed you both for along time and thoroughly enjoyed watching your van build, shared your ups and downs been with you all the way. Just wanted to say your new van is brilliant I just love it, hope you both and your two little boys have years of happy travels, lovely to see you back on the road. See you next time 😊😊
Great to see you out in the van and enjoying exploring. Don’t how you cope in those temperatures it’s hot enough here ( England) at 23. Have a good week 🥰
Great to see ye out & about again. Those lights came up on my ducato randomly the other week but once I had parked the van for an hour they never came back on 🤷♀️
Hi guys, great the van passed, potholes and bumps sometimes set the sensors off, but they will reset with ignition off for long enough, basic code reader is cheap enough to give you idea, I eventually got the Topdon Diagnostic Scanner, let's you clear and reset things just like the garage, hope this helps, been subscribed for seems like years, keep it up, Phil and Amy over in Staffordshire UK ❤
Great park up, wish we had places like that to park in the UK. Van looks lovely, a bit worried you'll get insects in your cupboards with those holes though.
Koolio, back on Adventure Exploring new places🤙🤙Diggin the camp spot, those trees are shaped like a canopy. love it! A bit of Ocean breeze and Cooler temps, Bravo. Have a wonderful proper journey with the New build. 🙏🙏Be blessed.
The location looks brilliant. The meal looks so tasty. So annoying when the van does that. You were so happy but all is good now. Beach looks beautiful,we like low key to.gor to say the van looks lovely all what you've done in it is really good. Like the shower/ doggie den.

The best way to prevent warning lights and error codes spoiling your adventure is to drive a 40 year old van which doesn't have them... 🤓
Like my 1992 talbot express 😁😉
LOL Vinnie heard that😁😁😂🤣😂

Enjoy your adventures, great to see the boys enjoying themselves. Take care 😊👍😊
Ok.. Thanks so much.. I guess we just need to get use to the van, the warning lights often aren’t what they seem so we’ve read and the cans been fine since so hopefully no issue😅.. xx
I thought that Sarah was going to bite the dust on that leap of faith.
😂😂
All that hard work finally paying off! Ignore the warning light, it can only be something very minor and shouldn’t be a problem. Get it checked out if it makes you feel better when you get home, but in the meantime enjoy Velton, try to relax and have fun! Maybe a week off without filming is what you really need, but I bet you don’t do it. We would miss you but I think you need a break and an actual holiday without having to constantly think how to entertain us! Most of all have a great time! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Vlogging makes them money.
Thanks for the feedback and yes you are probably right, we’re just not use to all the electrics of these newer vehicles 😅.. We do enjoy filming and making videos and of course it is our job too! Having a week off! Nah, we can’t do that 😂😂😂
@@galdessa1yes it does 👍
Electrics in vehicles. Mostly simple glitches Simple solution just disconnect the battery for seven seconds and bingo it rests itself result. Most commercial trucks nowadays have a isolation switch fitted so battery can be disconnected very easy sollte for this reason
Try it Guys I m so glad for you now your back to van life Go enjoy and keep these vlogs coming we love em. Xx gadgit xx I’m on boat life and loving it xx
You know it’s serious when Nick puts the glasses on! Glad they came back off again soon 🚐💨
Oooh enjoyed this, very relaxing. Is there any chance you can start putting your meal ingredients up on the screen? Your meals look lush🥰
I am so happy for you’ll 🎉
awwwww, Thankyou☺️☺️xx
Well done both
Thanks so much ❤
Nice be on road again. We soon also go. A tip don't remember if you done it,but fix those security things for driver door. Metal thing you install to stop braking in. It take only seconds for them to brake in and it open up central locking.
If someone wants to break in, they will break in. They use angle grinders these days.
I am really looking forward to your cookbook coming out, the food you make always looks so lovely 😊 hurry up please!
Lovely to see things going so well, you guys look very happy. X:)
Thanks for the advice Paul, really appreciate it.. Have a great weekend ❤
Get your own code reader so you know what wrong
I was going to suggest the same, I have one in my camper after a sensor put it into limp home mode, less than 7 pound for ELM327 ODB 2 reader, you can reset the codes on the move if need be. The other thing without a reader often is to turn the ignition on an off 3 times to initialize ( depends on vehicle) but Bluetooth reader is the way forward.
Check for a loose gas cap.
Will add one to the list! 😅😊
Thankyou so much guys ❤️ x
Loving that wooded area…Velton seems really comfy. My mechanic says if its an orange light dont worry, but if its red you need to get it looked at. Nice to see you out and about xx
Beautiful location so good to see you back on the road with the babies. We are heading out on Sunday, but we have the Mot tomorrow so hopefully we will get through that and go away at the weekend love to you all see you next week😊
Well done guys, absolutely delighted you are, back on the road. All the best from a miserable Scotland 😢
Phew…glad that turned out ok in the end! What a lovely spot to find in the pine forest!
Prime ended yesterday 😫 seriously really pleased you are finally back on the road, you’ve worked so hard for it 🥰👍
awwwww, Thankyou.. It’s been a long time coming hasn’t it 😅☺️xx
So exciting to see you out and about again and thank goodness it now seems ok. Have a great week xxx
Thanks Alison ❤😊

Good to see you all back on the road....at last! 👏 May I suggest you buy yourself a fault code reader now you have a modern van.... it will save all the guessing and stress of not knowing what's wrong.👍 Also, I can't remember which engine your van has, but if it has a timing belt, and it hasn't been changed recently, I strongly advise that you have it changed before venturing north....they need changing every 5 years. Looking forward to more travelling videos....and I bet you all are as well! 😉👍
Hi Nick and Sarah, I know how difficult it can be on the road, but the freedom that you have roaming around a beautiful country is priceless! 😊
Those trees are so unusual van looking fab ✨🕊️☘️ hope doggies are ok in the heat
Glad it all worked out. So excited you are back on the road. ❤
Thank you!! ☺️
Nice one out and about in you new van good look to the borth of you + the dog's XX
Thankyou so much ❤️ x
Great park up, wish we had places like that to park in the UK. Van looks lovely, a bit worried you'll get insects in your cupboards with those holes though.
