Dairy depends honestly. One of the largest and the most qualitative studies on acne related to dairy consumption ended up showing a huge correlation between skim milk that is more refined with those who have acne. So if you don't want to give up dairy, consume high-fat instead of low-fat. That will probably help :)

I wouldn't have more than one fruit a day. Fruit is full of sugar. If you wear sunscreen all the time than make sure you take vitamin D3 supplements. Around 70 percent of the population is deficient in Vitamin D3 because they spend too much time indoors and they use sunscreens which block out UV Rays which could lead to osteoporosis and a whole host of problems.

Unfortunately keto is not for everyone, specifically for people with digest issues or can’t digest fats well , like people with not gallbladder, gastritis, acid reflux, leaky gut. If we eat too much protein or fats we’ll be get sicker than we already are. Personally I still have the three first conditions and if I eat too much specially red meat I’ll get sick, Chicken or fish I can tolerate. I can’t do any kind of butter (specially dairy ) I’ll get very ill .
And not even think of intermittent fasting bc for my gastritis I have to eat every 4 hours. But I follow most part of the keto diet( no sugar , no carbs, no grains)
But if you are relatively healthy works wonders and conjunction with intermittent fasting.

Dr. Rafani is that professor I wish I had in college. I had acne problem in my very late teens. So I started going to Dermatologist and Aesthetician at that age. I'm now 40 years old. Eat a clean diet, take care of your skin, sleep well, drink enough, and go visit the Dermatologist or Aesthetician sometimes. If you have home devices make use you are using them properly otherwise have the Aesthetician do it for you.

Hello, Dr. Rajani! You always give good advice on how to maintain a beautiful look. Are there any solutions for fat knees and cankles? I have been involved in sports all my life, there is no laziness or sedentary lifestyle. I walk every day, run 3 times a week, attend yoga and pilates 3 times a week. In summer I do water sports on weekends, but in winter I go skiing. My BMI is around 18, I have always weighed less than needed, but I have always had “column like” legs. It looks like my whole leg is the same width, because I have thick ankles and knees. I think I have problems with my heart, blood vessels and lymphatic system, so I am afraid of liposuction, because I am afraid that the heart may not be able to withstand anesthesia and that the liposuction process may be ruthless for my weak blood vessels. Is there any procedure you could recommend for people with lipedema? Thank you in advance!

So glad you are talking about how our skin ages in the first place. It’s ALL ABOUT WHAT we eat! And the way to fix the aging issue is the same way it is caused by what we EAT. At the end of the day the Following age humans : SUGAR, ALCOHOL, LACK OF SLEEP, CIGARETTES, OVER CONSUMING SUBSTANCES….. regular doses of sun ☀️ is actually very healthy for us and doesn’t age our skin. Only when someone gets TOO MUCH SUN ☀️ does it cause damage and aging.

I found out about a new type of non sugar called Erythritol that i used to bake a cake with along with coconut oil instead of margarine and oh my goodness! It was great, i also warms some raspberries in lemon juice in a pan with Erythritol instead of jam and added coconut cream and it was great. You don't have to go without but look for alternatives. Eryithoil does not have any calories and does not raise sugar levels and diabetics can eat it.

I always avoid all the things mentioned because it's shows directly in my face! 🙃 This weekend I had 2 party's so I had a couple glasses Chardonnay and eat some chips and salty foods! And yip, this morning the eye bag's where showing! 😱 So back on water, that works pretty good for me, not as fast it used to, but I'll get there! 🙃😉Thank you!!! 🙏🏻

Yes, Americans are 'vain' to get skin treatments and acne is a normal teenage stage! Compare us to France who considers acne to be a real health problem at any age and skin treatments better than makeup for creating a healthy glow.

I've been avoiding sugar, alcohol, smoking, and deep fried food. but Dairy, that one will be hard, I really love dairy products. however, I've made almond milk before at home, and it was very similar to dairy milk, I think I can reduce my dairy product intake a lot and satisfy the craving with almond milk most of the time, instead.

He's right! It's also important to stay away from meat that has antibiotics in it. Eating meat with antibiotics will kill the good and bad bacteria in your gut... and long story short, will cause acne. Instead, cook your own food, take a good Prebiotic AND Probiotic to replenish your gut, and only buy meat with no hormones and no antibiotics.

Excellent content. I feel more graphics showing sugar need to illustrate fruits as well, not just junk food. Many studies have shown fructose is more harmful in some ways than glucose, despite fruits having beneficial nutrients. I generally stick to fruits like tomatoes, avocados and berries (and sadly I do love chips 😩)
