Am I the only one that thinks that all Bionicle generations/years, all had different universes and had nothing to do with each together?! Expect for the first and second one in my opinion. And some other neighbours, but else they all feel like different worlds with the different stories and stuff.
Im sorry, but i disagree with your afirmation. Best years were between 2001 to 2005, and also good years but less good were 2006/2007. 2009 were nothing special, and 2010 was a epic disaster of Bionicle Story, but there are several reasons to me to say so.
You both seem very biased! There are several reasons why 2005 was not the last cool thing Bionicle had to offer! 2006, 2007, and 2008 were 10 times better than 2005 and 2002 (in my opinion). Greg Farshtey didn't even like 2005 that much! But I agree with you that 2010 was an epic disaster in the history of Bionicle if you're talking only about sets (the stars were tiny)! This is my top 10 list 10.2010 9.2009 8.2005 7.2007 6.2002 5.2008 4.2001 3.2004 2.2006 1.2003.
Michael Willmore It's interesting to see how Bionicle fans' tastes vary. I'm thinking maybe age has something to do with it? What stage you were in when something was introduced can be very influential on how you perceive it.
My top list are: 1.2005 2.2001 3.2003 4.2002 5.2006 6.2007 The year of 2002 is one of your least favourite but dont forget that the Toa Nuva were released and they were actually pretty awesome, that noone can denied that. But I can see that we have some commom opnions. Less favourite: 2010/2009.

2005 was probably my favorite Bionicle year, I like the premise of heroes being mutated and have to deal with their inner demons.
I remember I got the play sets just for the gold visorak!!
You can try to buy it separely online (ebay, amazon...)
That set was expensive as a kid but at least I got the gold visorack ;D
