The only issue is I can't decide wether to learn how to use Blender and make character models, or buy every figure and make it stop motion.
Combustiblemonguy Problem with stop motion is that it is often a bit hard to make it to a very high quality and that means a lot of frames... a lot. Blender seems easy to use as SO many people can use it, but I'm not sure if there are models for every 2006-7 set, and if there's not, I have no idea how to make them myself.
I wish Bionicle made movies for most things. The Inika and Mahri, the Phantoka and Mistika, and the Giant Robot Mata Nui vs Makuta. Shame that G1 ended so this will never happen
Does anyone remember how one of the books ended on a massive cliffhanger where Jaller&co go out to get help after the Piraka defeat the Toa Nuva? Jaller&co come out of 6 canisters described as "Taller, stronger, united",then put their weapons together via knights of the round table style. Then the book says something along the lines of "In the distance, the Piraka all suddenly felt cold chills down their spines". The Inika commercials weren't out yet when this particular book was released. So it was a really big "WHAT IS GOING ON, HOLY S***!!!!!!!!!!" moment for me as a kid :D

The Piraka and Inika are by far the best series. The Bionicles where great and the story was amazing. I remember every time I kept on reading it was like a movie in my head.
Just now realizing that 2006 was probably the biggest year for Bionicle. New island, playsets, friggen All American Rejects, light up pieces, a video game. Too much to list

They easily could’ve made a movie for this one and could’ve made guap, considering the storyline was really great. Possibly even a 2-parter with the continuation featuring their struggle with the Barraki. Long live Matoro 🤍
True, I was also relieved that 2006-2008 was my first introduction to Bionicle because the only thing I hated about the 2001-2003 Bionicle series was it's elite fanbase acting like they're the far superior Bionicle fans than us XD lol.
Thank You So Much for bringing back the Bionicle Piraka fond memories! Best TOAs Ever! They brought so much Cool Exposures to LEGO! Shame on LEGO of treating the Bionicle Piraka TOAs as disposable chopsticks after 2010 ... Bionicle Piraka Forever! 🕯
I wish LEGO made another theme very similar to Bionicle specifically aimed at adults with a serious storyline and badass aesthetics. As a very young adult myself who is extremely nostalgic for the late 90s and early 2000s I would fully get back into LEGO if they released a theme that screams early 2000s badassery with modern Nu Metal as the background music.
My favorite Bionicle year. Sadly, I wasn't around for it...I only started getting into them in 2008. I ordered a few of the Piraka on ebay, I plan to get some Inika.
0:29 Do you guys see how dark this is? I mean, think about it. Zamor spheres are balls filled with Antidermis/Makuta gas, right? And Thok just blew an Antidermis bubble... THOK IS LITERALLY SMOKING ANTIDERMIS LIKE TOBACCO.
***** For bio-mechanical beings, something as sticky as gum would be a severe hazard for all their gears and cogs. Also when the bubble pops, gas flows out. Actually, do Bionicles even need to eat or drink? We NEVER see them eating or drinking water, so do they only need oxygen?
+Combustiblemonguy Well, Bionicles may actually just be organic. Bionicle is short for Biological Chronicles. While we haven't seen them eat, Matorans of Ga-Koro often sell fish.
Ishy OQGX It's been confirmed that almost all lifeforms are organic beings inside robotic shells. But then they said the Glatorian were completely organic, but salvaged parts and turned themselves into cyborgs. For them to eat food, they would have to catch the fish, shut it down, break open the metal (Protodermis), scoop out the organic parts AND separate the meat from the organs. Seems like a really hard process if you ask me.
True, I would've gladly taken that over Mask Of Light anyday because I never cared for the 2001-2003 Bionicle series that the Bionicle fandom itself just loves so much to begin with lol.
"It's not what you have that makes you a hero, it's who you are." This is basically the Story of these six characters. Hewkii saved Pohatu during the bohrak invasion. Nuparu invented the boxer to fight said invasion. Kongu was a fighter bird pilot. Hali did... something I don't remember. Jaller was a captain and saved his friend with his life. Matoro... He made the Ultimate sacrifice.
I love how bionicle was all like calm and had this like deep lore and story, and it incouraged bravery and heroism... But piraka’s all like *GO GO PIRAKA HELL YEAH DUDE GANG GANG GUNS FUCK YEAH RADICAL DUDE THE STREETS GO GO PIRAKA RAP OH YEAH FUUUUCK*

@@A-Ner2 2008 is were bionicle ended for me, the glatorian are just so boring and un apoealing.
@@A-Ner2 I was starting to lost interest after Phantoka or Mahri (whichever ones came later).
I always assumed it was like bubblegum. Dang.
*****
For bio-mechanical beings, something as sticky as gum would be a severe hazard for all their gears and cogs. Also when the bubble pops, gas flows out.
Actually, do Bionicles even need to eat or drink? We NEVER see them eating or drinking water, so do they only need oxygen?
+Combustiblemonguy These are th tough questions in life.
+Combustiblemonguy Well, Bionicles may actually just be organic. Bionicle is short for Biological Chronicles. While we haven't seen them eat, Matorans of Ga-Koro often sell fish.
Ishy OQGX
It's been confirmed that almost all lifeforms are organic beings inside robotic shells.
I am that hero!
Matoro takes out twelve Zamor Launchers with four Zamor Spheres...
Like a badass.
5:09 gotta love those mini Bionicles
Oh dude i loved Piraka and the Mighty Inika
This was my favorite generation if bionicle. I was disappointed when they didnt make a movie for this
True, I would've gladly taken that over Mask Of Light anyday because I never cared for the 2001-2003 Bionicle series that the Bionicle fandom itself just loves so much to begin with lol.
“It’s not what you got, it’s what you do with it”
Holy shit that’s actually pretty wise
"It's not what you have that makes you a hero, it's who you are."
This is basically the Story of these six characters.
The last bit about Matoro put a lump in my throat.
My childhood was awesome back then with the Piraka and Inika I had Avak Zaktan and Toa Nuparu
Sounds cool! I have Thok and Toa Hahli.
I'm on Team Piraka 4 life XD lol.
i LOVED 2006 but i gotta admit, i'm NOT a big fan of the piraka rap it sounds like he's saying POraka. REALLY!!??!??
Ah 2006 good times
I still remember that days.....my favorites are pirakka ;)
Matoro is my favourite Bionicle...
NEAT!
