Music seems really important to Stellar Blade. Can you talk about how you decided on the songs and what we can expect from the soundtrack?
Kim: The music is an important element in the game that really portrays the world view of Stellar Blade. We have about 100 tracks on the soundtrack, and most songs have a kind of chorus or some kind of human voice in them.
Around 60 per cent of the songs were created in-house, while the other 40 per cent were created by a sound studio called Monaca, led by composer Keiichi Okabe. Okabe-san was the composer of NieR.

Its kinda funny, im not a fan of Sakiro, Bayonetta, and Nier automata, yet i love everything about Stellar Blade(based on the demo at least).
Also i just recently watched HappyDaddyKratos video analysis about Stellar Blade lore, and i love that unlike Nier automata there seems to be a story reason why Eve is sexy in the lore xD
I relate with you so much on that. Same here! All those games I hope to play one day but even without doing so, stellar blade feels right at home and connects with me. Pretty sick how people are so quick to judge eve on looks alone, when we haven’t even see her character growth. Super excited, thanks for sharing 🤙🏼

Okay so if you watch the Stellar Blade trailer back when it was still called Project EVE, when Eve is fighting a space monster, you can see that she is using Tachy's sword. When you watch to the end, Tachy can be seen with one arm. She covers it with a cloth, then a helmet closed in on her head with a skull inside. Adam exclaimed that "it's an Alpha Naytiba!" and she raises her sword at you. The first sequence of the trailer might indicate that you'll have to kill her then obtain her sword as sort of a retribution. So she'll come back, but not in a way that we might like.

Yeah. I'm still holding out hope because when you go to Eve's customization menu, you can press L1-R1. Of course it doesn't go anywhere, but that could indicate that you could play other characters, so I'm hoping maybe Eve will just incapacitate Tachy and be able to remove the Naytiba infection, then make her a playable character later. Tachy is too dope to just go down like that, but that scene where Eve is wielding her sword is such a dead giveaway. Hopefully it's a diversion but I really think this game's story wouldn't be too deep.

When I first saw this game when it was Project EVE, I was a big anime hater, yet this game made my list of "games to keep an eye on" Finding out it was post-apocalyptic was also a big W because we don't have many games like Stellar Blade that are in this kind if setting and the first one that pops into my head is Devil May Cry. I had this game ready for pre-order when it was available and the demo I played on day one.
Safe to say that the demo sold me, more than I already was (and no, it wasn't because of EVE's design. That's just a bonus). Hell, the boss challenge you can do was also fun as hell with some different outfits being shown there as well as different gear, the drone gun, and some other customisation options. This is a game I'm playing day one.

Yeah I'm actually looking forward to it after playing the demo for a few minutes before real life took over... and I'm pleased to find the gameplay is actually good. That was my biggest concern, and that's alleviated so yeah I'm going to buy it in "protest" lol. Seriously though, I'm with you... this shouldn't be an issue. I grew up as a HUGE anime fan, where the monsters were disgustingly grotesque and the men were daring and cool and the women were daring and gorgeous. Saw the preview for this game last year and was like "OH heck yeah, finally another true anime-style game, it's kinda been a while."
Only to have modern stuff drag it through fallen Earth's schmegma-filled-mud.
So down with the politics, up with the anime vibes!!

The coolest thing about the Korean dub is that they also worked on the lip-syncing, and it's for free, compared to Ghost of Tsushima, where you had to purchase the expansion to get it, which is really weird.

I've been watching maybe 200 streams of this game, and NO ONE speaks like this about the game, women are the thirstiest too about Eve.
That’s very true, it’s a loud minority. I follow PlayStation on instagram and most comments on there are just talking bad about the game. But like you said even women thirsting lol. Those people are just mad with life and hate to see people enjoy something.
It's sad that this game has sort of taken on a sort of therapeutic persona, one's that's a breath of fresh air compared to the absurdity that is western gaming.
This product should not be controversial to begin with. You'd need to live in a sane world for that to be the case, which we don't.

Maybe I am in the minority but... she feels too perfect visually. It's the typical girl reminiscent of ye old fighting game like doa. It's getting old and stale... But I guess that's what they were aiming for... no imperfections... I guess it will work.

She just feels artificial, she literally oozes android from how she reacts to the world and her too perfect body, too flawless skin (no pores or texture),...I guess that is part of the style. Anyways, I will accept the adventure (as I love the setting and music) and see where it goes. Keep up the good work, my man.
The music is nice but I seriously disliked the vocals. They ruined the atmosphere. You go in an abandoned area, full of dilapidated building, world ended and then you listen to a girl singing in K-pop style about "time is very tacky" or something.... Just no, it sucks and it doesn't fit. If you start grinding the demo, you'll see it yourself. Personally, after over 30 hours in it, I wanna rip my ears off!
The rest is just amazing... Except also for the graphics. Awesome art design, but up close, many of the things were similar to what the PS2 games looked.
I can understand that, the music is always subjective. So far though the music has been incredible to me. I mean this game is pretty optimized with awesome frame rate and decent resolution considering how smooth it runs on balanced mode. You can expect a few textures looking a little muddy
Yeah, I mean the game feels magical. These are minor issues, but still, they are there.
For me, rhe music as a standalone thing is good, but it doesn't fit the atmosphere. Try going in the Silent Street area for the first time, again! The OST starts as very melancholic, sad piano tunes and then it goes into K-pop. I'd prefer the sad and slow melodies over the actual songs. They just fit. On the other hand, these sad melodies don't fit the action in the stage... Oh well.
Yeah, I was shocked when I saw the textures on some things. Even some skyscrapers that are very close to the action (but out of bounds), are just 2D images. Hahaha.
Still buying it, though.
