I can't say I'm a fan of the music mods, mixing a bunch of extra colours together doesn't make a rainbow, it makes the colour of diarrhea. Visual mods are stunning though, especially Fisherman's Horizon.

Can you guys mod the ff7 remake to make them look like the original artwork? I hate Clouds new pants and saggy look in the remake. He used to stand straight and look lean full of energy, but nowadays he looks like a wimp with no energy and saggy pants.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like the „you’re my living legacy“ stuff? Ever since they started to milk FF7 they make Cloud more and more like a wuss. They just had to go and force stuff in that wasn’t there before.

I noticed something about the characters' "acting" during the play. Zidane sounds like he's hamming it up, Cinna sounds like he's reading a cue card, and Blank sounds like he's making an effort. It kinda says a lot about their skills as stage actors.

Everyone says they like the Toon + Outline option but personally I think it clashes too much with the painting style of the backgrounds.

Did they change the dialogue ? Is there an option to use the original ?

Nice! Just need more cut and pasting to make a cutscene from the fighting system. Like the Highlights. Making the voice acting come more alive. And giving pace to the fight scenes.

This is cool however that is not how I envision squall's voice at all. I know that this mods voice actors are crowd sourced or at least i am pretty sure they are however ya I would have been a lot more particular on the main characters voice's had I been the one directing this.

You nailed Squall and Quistis but Seifer sounds 20 years older than he's supposed to and Zell's voice is just bad. These are great fan projects but you'll need some pro voice actors for games this iconic.

These videos look the way my brain remembers them 😂 Kinda like with the THPS 1+2 remake, in my memory the original games looked like that. And then you see the original and go "....oh"

The OST-RF is beautifully done and Im saying this as a fan who first played the game as a young teenager and built core memories with the soundtrack.

Love seeing modders giving these games the love and respect they deserve, unlike Squenix w/ their bad 'remasters' and even worse 'remakes'. Seriously, you can tell SE puts the minimum work into all the latest FF re-releases. Those FMV upscales look pretty spectacular. Here's hoping there's a traditional 15fps version, as doubling the frame rate introduces artifacting, smeared details and awkward animations and panning judder. It also loses that cinematic feel, trading it for the 'soap opera' effect.

It’s beautiful to see after so many years, other people are also still in love with this game. I spent countless hours as a teen playing FF8, and every couple years I replay it. Will do it again with these mods now
