question, and hopefully you get this. If i were to play the game on my pc and use the 7th heaven mods, and then at night go play my steam deck, is it possible to just continue the save through steam cloud without the mods, and then when i continue on pc i can just run them with the mods? just curious as to options. i will most likey try to do the 7th deck i just want to know if thats possible
every time i open up this pack of mods, i get a yellow border that indicates something is capturing my screen. Anyone else had this problem?

I have everything set correctly, but it asks to insert disk 1 2 or 3 it doesn't auto mount, any ideas?

ok ok. hi. what is a mod, that will fix the Park area, where Aerith and Cloud go after leaving her house? the one with the slide at the start of the game? that area looks messed for me.

I’ve done everything and whenever i try to launch the game it says i have a “standard install” and not a “maximum install” do you know anything about this or how to fix it?
I’ve never heard or seen that before, that’s odd. What build is your 7th heaven manager? Only thing I can suggest is to completely uninstall the manager and reinstall final fantasy 7 on steam and try again
I did that and its working great now only problem im having is the music is stuck on the midi sounfont, music mods dont work and i cant even get it to use the original soundtrack. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!@@OtenP_
Do you launch the game from 7th Heaven or from steam directly? If you launch from steam it will always be the normal version of FFVII and not the one with the mods (so you need to launch it from 7th Heaven directly).
I watched this about 3 times last night. Im horrible with computers and really wanted to play this MOD. You explained this perfectly! I have the mods installed, FF7 looks amazing now! Feels like a brand new game almost. Ty sooo much for the careful and thorough explanation on how to do this.

I am struggling with the game being very Glitchy even with just playing from the 7th Heaven App, is a new install needed or any suggestions? it's mostly screen tearing stuff.
@@Diettaka I haven’t really messed around with these mods in awhile so not sure if there was an update or something. I would suggest to check your settings, vsync might help, make sure your resolution is the same as the monitor your using, also mess around with the FPS, adjusting that might fix it

@@Diettaka awesome! Yeah there’s for sure ways to fix the tearing. Not to familiar with AMD but I know a lot of people who run this game beautifully on it
well i guess i said a no no word in my last comment. anyway, i have no idea what im doing with modding. i can see a bunch of mods to choose from and download except for when i do they dont actually download theres a list of qued up things i didnt even pick but whatever i figured that was part of it. either way nothing is downloading just says starting. I am desperately trying to follow along but i cant even seem to get started i dont know how i got as far as i did
@@mikezigma is 7th heaven up to date? Also there’s a refresh button on the main mod list, after you download them try refreshing see if they appear in the downloaded section

I'm looking for info about ow to fix the issue with everything being in slow motion during dialogue scenes. I'm modded through 7th Heaven, of course, and this is the one issue that I cannot fix. I would love some advice, please.
What build are you on? Stable or Canary? I haven’t really been up to date since this video that I’m sure there’s new updates.
@OtenP_ I stick with Stable. I downloaded 7th about 8 days ago.
@@OtenP_ There is an update that prompts me, but I'm warned that it is Canary, so I'm dodging it for now until I become more familiar with 7th.

Thank you so much for this guide OtenP! Not kidding you, i watched 6 other videos and spent a good amount of time trying to get 7th Heaven to work. Your video was the only one that worked for me to be able to actually get the newest version of 7th Heaven to work. Changing the build in program to Canary then updating was the only way to get the one file to register and allow for Game Driver settings to be changed!
Your mod list is amazing and i cannot believe how great the game looks sounds etc. I too replay this at least every few years and this by far will be my most anticipated playthrough. Very much agree that with these mods, this is the remake that I at least wanted.

7th heaven won't install for some reason on windows 11. I'm not sure why, but any help would be appreciated.
Not sure, I’m in windows 11 and it works fine. I would suggest joining the tsunamod discord and going to mod support and they can help you out much better
anyone else getting asked to move the game folder to c/games and when u do the game loads but not the mods even tho u change the location to where they are
What build of 7th heaven are you using
uninstalling does nothing.. you have to remove the mods from within the program to remove them before uninstalling. because the mods are not within the program.. they are your replaced game files

there are 3 moddershaven download files...which one should i get? the first one?or all 3?
Pick which ever one you want to play with, I just used the enemy pack and summons
Any advice for load order with the New Threat mod and these?
I haven’t tried new threat myself but try using the auto sort button on the side with new threat in the list

I’ve been trying to play FFVII, and I got it on Switch a while back. I didn’t make it very far though, in large part because of how generally dated the game feels. I’m considering picking it up again on Steam (it’s only $5 after all) so I can play it with mods. I imagine that would make the game more enjoyable for me by merit of it feeling less off-putting. Would you recommend doing this, or would experiencing it vanilla first be more ideal?
Hard to say, I played the game back in the day and even to this day I enjoy the vanilla version a lot. But as a new comer I understand how off putting the original maybe. These mods for sure will make it more enjoyable and make it a little more pleasing to the eye. I do recommend to play the OG one but if not definitely give it a shot with mods it’s a better translation I think than the original
@@OtenP_ I’ve got a little update: I decided to just keep playing on Switch, and the game’s grown on me massively! The occasional bit of datedness doesn’t really bother me anymore (especially with online guides to help me through the more obscure stuff lol). I think my real issue the first time was that I abused battle boost mode and barely touched materia because when I first started it, I was honestly pretty bad at jrpgs lol. A full game restart fixed that issue. I’m now at the start of the third huge materia mission after the Cloud memory shenanigans. I can’t say most of the twists surprised me much (the curse of playing a 27 year old game that’s taken over pop culture), but I have enjoyed seeing them in more detail. Overall, I’m having a pretty great time with it, no mods required!
As an OG gamer I’m VERY happy you decided to give it another shot and now you are seeing why it’s a timeless classic lol. That was actually a good move you did by starting over. The “boosts” they offer is good but for it being your first time I would recommend just using the speed up function. You gotta level up your materia of course like you said, makes the game more enjoyable. Also once you get to the part of the game where you have more freedom, makes it more fun to explore and discover things.
Tell me, can I run it on a 32-bit window?

For that I think the only way is to go to the display settings on the 7th heaven manager and change to wide screen, but it stretches the image

Great video, thank you. I was planning on just getting FFVII on switch because the main things I wanted were the ability to skip battles, go at a faster pace, etc. But I'd like to see what the games like with these other visual mods. It's been a long time since I finished it
No problem! Thank you for checking out the video, yes I highly recommend to try the game like this and add the mods you prefer. You can always still skip battles and even put faster speed up options than the console versions
I have v3.3.1.0 release and installed it to c: drive didnt change nothing on where as it already makes destination so i didnt mess with that. So upon opening 7 heaven your paths ff7 exe and library paths are set and mine are blank. So i browsed where my steam ff7 exe file is my g: drive but library yours has a folder labeled mods and i dont have.. do i need to install 7heaven to my ff7exe file or whats the deal?
That’s odd, there’s a new version out now not sure if that maybe a problem. When I downloaded 7th heaven I left it at default location as well like you. And my ff7 steam in on my D drive, it should locate it.
At first it did show nothing but afterwards after install and uninstall multiple times it shows up and a mod folder came up. having a hard time @@OtenP_

Hello! So I’m not sure why that is happening with you. I’ve been using 7th heaven for a long time and have never had issues. This is a guess I’m taking I’m not entirely sure but might be because the manager has a speed hack so your computer might be reading that as a virus
Also to be safe make sure you download from the website I did. That’s the official one
Having a hard time finding the Qhimm Community Mod for Field Scenes, they removed the mod list from the webpage....

What about Ever Crisis? Isn't that the closest Remake to this one?

I mean I guess? Ever Crisis also has gacha stuff and is separated by chapters that are released periodically. You don't get the full game immediately and are stuck doing mobile game gacha pulls. This is still the definitive way to place over EC.

What version are you using, are your mods in the correct order? If not try auto sorting them. Might have the 60fps mod in the wrong place

Yeah I believe it’s the base pack, it’s the one with enemies, bosses, summons, Vincent’s transformations. I have a part 2 to this video and I believe I go over that
@@OtenP_ I watched the second video also, you tell us what it is and where you downloaded it from but you don't actually go to the "files" tab and show which file. I'm almost positive it's the base pack but just wanted you to confirm.

@@OtenP_ So looks like I'm good to go, everything is downloading, aside from one set of mods I can't find. Where did you download the Tsunamods SYW V5 textures? In the catalog I can only find "unified" versions. Is that the same thing, because they do look recently updated...maybe the name was changed?
@@TheRedRaven_ yeah it’s a name change. If you are going to use those field textures I recommend just to just use “ cosmos limit break” it will be true widescreen. Only have that active for field textures other wise it will cause issues
