This is by far the best and in-depth analysis of the story even with only materials available in the demo. I have so many questions after watching the story of the whole game but your video really helped me piece many things together. Really looking forward to seeing you review the whole story after you finished through the whole game.
The ad for Eternity says in Korean text "Eternal Love and Tranquility like you never experienced before, and....*next line in English*" Pre-installed the game. Still can't get over the fact that a game of this quality and graphics is only 30GB. What kind of dark magic compression did they use?! Shift Up must have optimized the heck outta this game! It's either that or Unreal 4 uses less resources than proprietary engines. GOW 2018 was like 50GB I think.
It's so interesting reading all the descriptions and memory sticks in the game. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has been keeping an eye on the little things like this.
your theory is very close to reality it seems to me! it is very consistent with what the main CEO of Shift Up said: “the idea of Stellar Blade came to me after taxi drivers in Korea staged a protest against replacing living drivers with AI! I thought, “what will happen if everyone is suddenly replaced by artificial intelligence? "" you hit the mark, I think :)
Right on. Now that the game is out, we know some of these predictions were off, but yes you are correct in quoting Kim Hyung Tae here as this was the theme that ran throughout the game.
Fantastic video. Stellar Blade has become a perfect opportunity for us smaller creators to shine and break out - happy to see your videos performing so well!!
This game got me to look into shift up's previous game - a mobile one called Nikke - and there are so many similarities like SPOILERS ------------------> female warriors sent to save earth from a threat, an underground city, the loss of your first friend and their return, etc. That Nikke game has a CRAZY complex, fascinating and apparently emotional story, so pretty sure this will be equally interesting, layered and emotional
Great to hear you say this. I've heard great things about the story of Nikke as well. I'm hoping Stellar Blade is like you said, layered and emotional. Great comment :)

You're making the best video content on this game by far, keep it up! Hard to find anything apart from social media controversy on other channels, which I really could care less about 😅
In that State of Play trailer, they mentioned that the people of Xion refer to EVE simply as "Angel", and they're struck by both awe and fear in her presence, even showing a vendor outright refusing to do business with her. I wonder if this behavior is rooted in past interactions with members of previous airborne squads who maybe had additional orders beyond eliminating the "Naytiba". Also, don't forget how the demo, and presumably the full game, starts: the seventh airborne squad is instructed to exterminate the Alpha "Naytibas" and to "capture or dispatch" the Elder one. Why would they want to capture it?
Great points. I hope we'll get more backfilled info and history of what happened before Eve arrived on Earth. I was thinking about who the Elder Naytiba is too. Could it be Orcal and nobody knows this yet? A bad guy in disguise?
From what I know about the Director Kim, he is really into Christian lore and whole civilizations have divine origins and have come and gone like in cycles. He is not only known for his creative and sexy portray of female characters, his world building materials are very vast and deep. He is like Psy in korean gaming history. Look up War of Genesis series and Magna Carta series.
Yeah now that the game is out, there are more thoughts on this, but kinda what I was going for when we only had the demo to base our thoughts and predictions on.
I really love your lore video, whats interesting is that the lead developer already planning for a sequel(though it depend how the first game is going to end).
Oh for real? That's amazing. I missed that piece of info. If they are already planning a sequel, then the lore must run deep and they must have a solid story in Stellar Blade to build a potential series from. Great news. thanks for sharing.

Excellent summary of the lore so far; thanks very much for taking the time to go through all of those descriptions, and your insights were well thought-out and very plausible. One minor note, though, which borders on being pedantic so I'll apologize in advance: in the context of wars or conflicts, "outbreak" is used to signify the beginning of the conflict/war itself. So "the outbreak of the Liberation War" is probably just referring to the point of origin for the Liberation War itself, and not to an outbreak that took place parallel to the war in progress. However, with that said, I wouldn't be surprised if the Naytiba were created or unleashed as a direct response to the Liberation War (assuming it was an AI v. human conflict, which seems likely). This would echo the classic dystopian sci-fi trope of humanity creating a destructive bio-weapon (Naytiba) that quickly grew too powerful for humanity to keep tame, and turned on them. We'll find out soon enough, though! Very exciting. Cheers!
I had to look up what pedantic means - all good bro. I know how RUclips can be - gotta have thick skin to jump down into the comments section, so I really appreciate you proactively telling me you're not trying to be harsh or pedantic - shoot, now I know how to use that word :). I'm always up to keeping the conversation going on things, especially about Stellar Blade. Yeah I feel ya on the word "outbreak". It has me curious as to what the Liberation War actually was. In terms of the Naytiba, did you see the Altess Levoire video clip on SONY's IG a while back? I think it was a story so it's not a viewable post and can't be seen anymore. But I used that clip in this video. It definitely looks like humanity was up to some nefarious acts and growing something biologically - perhaps Naytiba
I rewatched some of your videos today and now there is a brand new one! Thank you for your effort! I really like the game! This kind of game is new for me, since I like to play strategy games or RPGs or a mix of that like Tactics Ogre…very exciting for me to have beaten the two bosses in the Demo…but for experienced players of such games no big deal for sure 😄👍🏻

Enjoy the game in a few days :) If you're interested in continuing in third person action games that will test your combat gameplay abilities, try Returnal on PS5. That was by far the hardest third person shooter I've ever played and it felt incredible when you would beat a boss.
A player managed to clip through a wall in the parking tower and play the remainder of the Eidos 7 level. At another Airborne Squadron camp Eve tells Adam that she was told there were no survivors left on earth, which was why she was suspicious of Adam when she first woke up. Also, the "Outbreak" talked about in the gold collection gear was specifically referring to the "Outbreak of the Liberation War", not the invasion of the Naytiba. Also, Also, I think the Naytiba are ancient beings that were dug up by humans. I believe they predate humanity and seek to reclaim the earth for themselves. Remember they were originally called NA:tives or "natives".
All great feedback. I too did the blink glitch to get into the parking lot. Yeah you're right about the campsite dialogue between Adam and Eve. I hope we get more info on the colony or perhaps get a late game level where we're on the colony. Not sure about the relationship between the outbreak and the Liberation War - could be read different ways but I see what you're saying. Yes I remember the earlier trailers when they were called Na:Tives. You have a good point and that could be ancient beings. Curious to what their origins will be. Did you see the Altess Levoire video clip on Sony's IG a while back? Makes me think they are biologically grown.
Would be great if the two were related. EVE-like body frames are perfected organic products that humans created and Naytiba are horrible mistakes from humans. Great thought.

I was extremely disappointed with what I saw today, I thought I watched some kind of Sephiroth or Tekken 8 Angel Jin.
I get what you're saying with the superpowers and Angel wings. But that did derive from sci-fi type scientific experiments in the labs of abyss levoire. The superpower (Adam lifting the hyper cell with telekinesis) is just a result of the scientists trying to shift the human genome to give them powers. But I things will go harder on the sci fi in sequels.
I'm still very curious why Tachy seemed so determined to protect and save EVE over everyone else including herself. Also, if EVE is indeed unique it was a bit of a stupid decision to send her down in those pods like everyone else considering like 90% of them get wiped out lol. And then she is the ONLY one to survive! Ah well I guess I can suspend a bit of disbelief haha.
I agree. There's gotta be something special about EVE when compared to other squad members. Tachy was able to come find her pod amongst the thousands of other pods that fell to earth.
Fucking great video. This has me so much more excited for this game than I already was! I knew the story would be a main focus but I had no idea that it would be this interesting.
Interesting ideas 😉👍🏻 wouldn’t it be ironic if lore reason for Eve’s design was basically demand of a thirsty humans, which would be exactly the message that “woke” journalists love, especially if it was basically looked upon as problematic in lore 😂… I would laugh my ass off watching all those IGN and Kotaku idiots retcon all their statements about stellar blade and how it is actually revolutionary and how they always liked it 😂
You make a mistake, an android cannot be born, because an android is a robot with human appearance, it acts like a human and pretends to be one, technically they are created and not biologically conceived. With this we can conclude that Eve and her squad are more cyborgs since they have organic parts like robotics, if they were AI they would be like Cortana from the Halo saga, although I am not entirely convinced, it is a good video.
You thoughts make sense... I feel that Stellar Blade's AI is different than the Halo Universe though. Oh dang, that would be really cool if they did a collab with 343 and did a Cortana suit for Eve to wear.. haha, but that will never happen :(
Eve is human according to game informer. They also mention Eve can be seen "as an angel that descended from outer space with a sword" whatever that means.
@@animegamergeek1427 Yep. They talked with Kim Hyung Tae about the game. The AI mind theory in this video is interesting but doesn't sound very human to me. Sounds more like android.
I hear what you're saying and remember hearing this in that interview as well. I think Kim Hyung-Tae is saying they are "Human." Shift Up stated the theme of the game is, "What is humanity, and what does it mean to be human." I think he is saying she is human as in not literally, but she will eventually learn to care for the people of Xion, perhaps act selflessly to try and save Tachy, etc. - essentially doing acts that make her human. I still believe she is an AI but is human because of her acts and deeds.

tbh i thought nikke was in the same universe since the ships are the same
Yes very similar look with their design - and the ships like you pointed out. Ready for some Nikki outfit crossovers???
@@unlistednaytiba not really into nikke i think like it’s over the top so no not really
Fucking great video. This has me so much more excited for this game than I already was! I knew the story would be a main focus but I had no idea that it would be this interesting.
Really appreciate your feedback. Enjoy the game in a few days.
Wow Good job
Really appreciate your feedback :)
We have won
Interesting ideas 😉👍🏻 wouldn’t it be ironic if lore reason for Eve’s design was basically demand of a thirsty humans, which would be exactly the message that “woke” journalists love, especially if it was basically looked upon as problematic in lore 😂… I would laugh my ass off watching all those IGN and Kotaku idiots retcon all their statements about stellar blade and how it is actually revolutionary and how they always liked it 😂
They would switch up so fast lol
Great how it turned out. I definitely did not see what the story was really about coming.
Então elas seriam como os replicantes de Blade runner
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Organically grown. Like that seen where Jared Leto "births" one then stabs it.
I love ❤️ this game!
Only a few more days :)
Oh so items will have lore like dark souls/elden ring ❤
Tho, did Game Informer get that info from the devs, or something?
Maybe Eve and the other girls in the squad were genetically created in laboratories, synthetic humans maybe.
@@animegamergeek1427 Yep. They talked with Kim Hyung Tae about the game. The AI mind theory in this video is interesting but doesn't sound very human to me. Sounds more like android.
@@zackfair6791 I've been hearing that she's an android, too. Given the things she says in the demo & trailer kinda made me think so, but dunno 😂
I still believe she is an AI but is human because of her acts and deeds.
i hope there's love between adam and eve
I guess you were technically right
Dark Souls?
Turned out to be somewhat like it, but definitely its own game.
@@unlistednaytiba the game seems quite dead now. 😂
I'd assumed the Naytiba were an adaptive parasitic alien race.
Funny how it turned out, huh?
@@unlistednaytiba yes I definitely wasn't expecting that
I hade you're yapping😡
Yapping is what I do, haha. but yea, I hear ya
Can u stop yapping in the intro took over 2 minutes to get to point
I gotta yap a little bit, come on bro, haha. I hear your feedback tho.
@@unlistednaytiba like just shorten the intro
5:24 reset the ghost, like ghost in the shell.
Yeah so many Ghost in the Shell vibes with this game. Really hoping they can do a Motoko inspired outfit post-launch.
