  • Stellar Blade's Lore: The Liberation War was the war before the final war that Raven details in the Legacy Recordings. We learn about this war briefly but it is not fully explored. Mother Sphere reclassifying humankind during the process of the Liberation War and immediately after when the Andro-Eidos were victorious. In order to do this, she needed to pull off one of the biggest lies known to civilization on Earth. And to make her lie work, she was involved in an even bigger cover up of the truth.
    This video is a discussion of the Liberation War and Mother's Sphere's lie and cover up. Enjoy this deep dive into the Stellar Blade Lore.
    Let me know what you think in the comment section below. I'll jump down there soon to keep up the discussion with you all there. Thank you Stellar Blade Community.

      U do realize the Bible actually doesn't say Adam was the first human right. Just like it doesn't say what the forbidden fruit actually is.
      Adam was in the garden of eden, eden was a place, the garden was within Eden which had 4 rivers that ran into the garden from different named location. . . Hints why when he has kids & kain killed his brother (Abel), he is afraid that the people out n about will kill em if they see him. . .

      Yes, the end of Stellar Blade is like a new version of EVE and Adam (Adam and Eve) being the seeds of humanity - in this case they have literally made a new individual to represent humanity moving forward.

      I really hope she takes on a Seraphim transformation complete with a giant halo and proves herself even more powerful than the Elder or Providence, that way she can give EVE her final test as that seems to be her goal.
      "I must determine whether you are that future."
      She is curious as to whether EVE is a better fit for the leader of humanity's future than she herself is, though Mother's robotic inhuman morality means she calculates that only through a battle and immense destruction can EVE prove herself.

    I love your analysis of Mother Sphere's intentions. She had over time--backdoored the restrictions placed on her by Raphael Marks, her creator and father. All actions moving forward were justified by Mother Sphere's cold logic in her problem solving. Reducing a human identity and existance to a title. Titles--eventually can be taken. A taken title can be given to another like the Andro-Eidos. Then like a victorious human in a war--Mother Sphere had to create a new history. A false history. Therefore talking the term of "the victors write the history" to new heights.

    Stellar Blade really poses this interesting question/fear of androids and humanity. Often we focus so much on the idea of androids BECOMING human as this great thing when discussing what it means to be human that we never consider what comes after/next.
    If androids are stronger, faster, more intelligent, durable, etc. than normal humans while also possessing none of the flaws humans have such as aging, disease, permanent injuries, etc. and gain the consciousness/awareness that humans possess… what does that mean for the original humans?
    Androids who are both the same and better than humans mentally and physically essentially render flesh and blood humans obsolete, making the original humans the lesser of both groups in all ways save for being able to reproduce. What does that mean for humanity in such a situation

    • @unlistednaytiba
      @unlistednaytiba  2 месяца назад

      Yep, basically what just happened. What comes next? Singularity or biological / machine way to reproduce? I feel that reproduction is also a defining factor of humanity or "life." Or ability to pass our genes onto our next is a defining aspect of humanity.
      I think this was explored beautifully in the last two God of War Games. Kratos and Atreus. Being a father changes you, and this game really explored what it meant for Kratos to become a father.

    Man, I really hope this expands to into more DLC stories and sequels. There's so much potential here for different places they could take us to witness. I'd love to go into the past, see the moment Raphael Marks realizes his creation plans to recreate and replace humankind with beings in its own image. And I wonder if Eve will be able to convince any others of this terrible truth. It seems like it'll be received as sacrilege against their goddess. Or if there's still a sanctuary anywhere or Earth where organic human beings still survive. So many possibilities. I really hope this is only the beginning for this story.

    All sound research and and analysis. I think something that now seems more interesting now in the "I think I'm human, but I'm not" storyline, is Eve's interaction with Barry,. She sees the fish as corpses and states what she eats is fluid and paste. Barry seems to have evolved into true human indulgences as fish and wine. In the "fish research" someone else is seeing how to convert fish into energy for their body cells. So the primal truth is buried in the Adros-Eidos, some trying to discover the truth more than others. But I love one of Eve's best lines, to Barry, in "and all this time I thought you were just some kind of freak".
    Wait a minute, so Luther is the same guy who was the only memory stick that I was missing. This must be because it was my first run and I hadn't completed the side quest and his body wasn't in the Great Desert yet. And here I was thinking there was a bug. Interesting.

    I think the backdoor that Adam made was not particularly tight, and it is reasonable that it is an oversight. He made her to serve humanity and not harm them. But nothing so far told us if it included specific description what was humanity. Even if there were, it not possible to describe what is humanity in 100% correctly. Everything is defined as much by what they are and what they are not. So, it is just simple that Mother Sphere just need to reconsider what is humanity for herself and can do whatever she want. It is likely that she came to the conclusion that Android was human to her first then act based on that and wiped out the old human. She didn't want the android to be human then do the entire thing and then declared that androids were human. She decided that first then just enforced it following Adam's rule that were set for her so she didn't do anything wrong. And finally, she announced to everyone what human were when things were set.

    • @unlistednaytiba
      @unlistednaytiba  2 месяца назад

      Definitely think you are right in that MS just does whatever she wants, but I do think there had to have been some guardrails put in place. With the way AI is being developed now, even the optimists believe there needs to be guardrails put in place.

    Something I wanna point out is I think it’s possible mothers sphere didn’t have to rationalize android as being a New human.
    Because during her dialogue in the true ending it seems to imply she was fully aware of Eve doing this.
    So it could be a thing where she predicted the future (like she was made to do according to the dialogue) and believed that and ultimately being fully human and fully perfected by the androids
    Could be achieved this way.
    In that way, it was for the greater good of humanity where they can still be human, but have the advancement of the androids. A.k.a. Evolution requires sacrificing.

      Initially I thought that too, but immediately after she says that she sends her angels to kill Eve. It wouldn't make sense since Eve is the next step in "human" evolution.

    • @unlistednaytiba
      @unlistednaytiba  3 месяца назад +2

      I think both Adam and Mother Sphere somehow saw the eventuality of what happened in combining an evolved adam (organic human beings) with an evolved android (most unisonous android body frame ever). And then in the end, Mother Sphere unleashes a new wave of angels on EVE to test her - I think Mother Sphere didn't want to kill EVE here, just to see if this upgraded EVE is worthy of carrying forth humanity as a new evolved form. And if her angels did in fact kill her, then she wouldn't be worthy, but Mother Sphere could at least take EVE's blood (Mother Sphere would now have access to human DNA).

    I agree that Marks probably did have some kind of goal-seeking programmed into Mother Sphere's AI, but the chain of reasoning for relabeling humanity has a fatal flaw. Mother Sphere could not have had a "do no harm to humans" rule, because after relabeling androids as humans, she dropped parts of the Colony on "humans" in the Colony Extinction. She has harmed and continues to harm tons of androids, as evidenced by all the hate for Mother Sphere in memory sticks of Xion androids, so the rule cannot exist. At best, she probably has an "increase the prosperity of humanity" goal and no rules at all against doing harm. Mother Sphere relabels androids as humanity due to their superiority, but damn the cost in lives.

    • @unlistednaytiba
      @unlistednaytiba  Месяц назад

      You are right in that she has to increase the prosperity of humanity. Like AI developed now, she might have had a do no harm clause implemented in her creation and operation, but her reasoning and logic simply works around this.

    • @papacharlie-niner148
      @papacharlie-niner148 Месяц назад

      @@unlistednaytiba In further thinking about this, I came up with the idea that maybe the rule was something like, "Save humanity from extinction." That provides enough of a loophole for Mother Sphere to kill as many humans, relabeled or not, as necessary, in order to achieve the higher goal. Needs of the many over the needs of a few type of morality.

    I am a bit confused. Raven says androeidos started the war because they felt humans were inferior. But Adam says humans were too immature to accept androeidos, which led to the war. So, who started it? Feel free to correct me if I oversimplified when paraphrasing.

    • @unlistednaytiba
      @unlistednaytiba  Месяц назад

      When adam says, "We Naytiba were too weak, too immature to live together" (I am paraphrasing), I think he means both species were simply too immature at living peacefully and coexisting. Somewhat how organic humans (us) are always at war with each other. We're immature in that we cannot even simply talk to one another if we have differing views or are different (race, religion, political view, etc.). I cannot remember exactly, but I don't recall Adam saying this is what led to war, but just that the planet was too small for both races to exist.
      In terms of what Raven says, Mother Sphere made the calculation to replace humans with androids. She and her androids therefore oppressed and killed humans - this sparked human revolt. Humans wanted to liberate themselves from the oppressive humans and therefore started the liberation war - hence the name of the war.
      Some of the characters say things that are half truths or misinterpretations of the truth. For example, in the Nest, while in the Providence, Lily tells Adam, "And then you through us out into space." This is kinda true but not really. It was Mother Sphere's calculated conclusion to evacuate the andro-eidos humans in the Final War to the colony. The Naytiba were just wiping out the Andro-Eidos humans, but didn't literally throw them out into space.

      @@unlistednaytiba Thanks for the reply. I just commented under a different video because I didn’t notice the reply alert. Adam says ‘Right from the start we struggled to coexist … because we naytibas were weak. We were not yet mature enough to accept your kind.’ It sounds to me that he doesn’t include the androeidos when he says ‘we’. Of course, it doesn’t necessarily mean that humans started the war, but I see it as a possibility. Or maybe tensions were rising until they escalated into a war, and it’s difficult to say what the ‘first move’ actually was.
      You are right about speaking half-truths. Adam does it arguably more than Lily or MS though, so I wouldn’t trust his interpretation of the events either. He is the sketchiest character in the game.

    This part of the lore was at least easier for me to pick up, given cutscenes like Raven's legacies already spelled much of it out. However, there were definitely some details that I wouldn't have picked out, such as Raphael Marks' speech being (possibly) key to Mother Sphere to concluding that organic humans need to be erased. As another commenter suggested, and even Eve kind of hinted at, this whole ordeal of driving organic humans to the brink of extinction possibly could be part of the plan to bring about the true evolution of humanity through Eve and Adam's fusion. The conversations between Mother Sphere and Eve in the endings felt like it. I also didn't feel like this was a machine uprising kind of plot and more like this was just Mother Sphere making her move, but I do recall Adam talking a bit about how Naytibas were not mature enough to accept the androids or how the world is not big enough for the both of them (I think). Assuming I got that right, wouldn't mind hearing your take on this.
    Also, I like Adam alot. I like his goofy interactions with Eve and Lily (especially the 'don't look down' one), and I like how he at times reminisces over things while guiding Eve. And then you learn how he was Raphael Marks and how he ended up being responsible for humanity being screwed. Twice. Felt for him at that point.

    As always, loving your vids on the lore! I always jump on watching them as soon as I notice they're released.
    That being said, I remember when reading/watching promotional material for Project Eve/Stellar Blade that at one point, instead of being referred to as Naytibas, they were referred to as NA:tives. I also recall there was a big stink/hoopla raised over this as many thought it was culturally insensitive to do so. I kinda wish they wouldn't have raised such a stink about it and seen what the overall intent was from a lore aspect within the game/story. Of course from an outside looking in, with no concept of the Dev's overall story they're trying to tell, it's easy to point and say that it's a very insensitive name to give a "creature" in an action-combat game in which we see a protagonist going around slaughtering them. However, I feel that once you learn more of the lore/back-story and piecing this puzzle together by playing the game... I feel to refer to them as NA:tives rather than Naytibas is actually much more relevant from a story point of view. I don't feel in any way that this is meant as a slight to indigenous cultures in any way/shape/form if one keeps their eyes on this bigger picture from a story point of view. Because in the end, Naytibas = once upon-a-time humans that were a forced evolution in order to deal with a very real threat which you just laid out in this video which in-turn very appropriately are NA:tives (i.e. the evolved organic human race) of the land they still occupy.
    This entire story of Stellar Blade is, in my opinion, so heart-breakingly tragic (which is one of the reasons it resonates with me so much as who doesn't like a solid tragedy of a story) just as I felt that all of the Drakenguard/Nier series is. Without tragedy, how can there be hope for a better future? I feel there are so many lessons that could be learned when you take both the story arcs from these two series and apply them to their (and our worlds) in a philosophical manner, the speculations and "what ifs" are amazing to think about. Their stories seem so amazingly and concerningly relevant to the direction we "could" travel in our own lives/worlds/species that I think you could draw parallels for hours and days and get completely lost and wrapped-up in discussions.
    I would really love/hope that an author might pick-up and run with a full blown series based off this world building that Shift Up has done already for this game as I would 100% gobble-up any type of additional material for this (and Nier for that matter) series. I'd def be like.... Take My Money!!!! LOL!

      It was actually spelled "NA:tives" in the early trailers when it was called Project Eve. I didn't hear about the stink about the "cultural insensitivity" but I thought they changed the name because it gave away the plot twist that they were former humans too obviously.

    • @unlistednaytiba
      @unlistednaytiba  3 месяца назад +7

      Yes I agree. It has to do with the EVE protocol. There has been some mentioning this, but not fleshed out. I believe the EVE protocol was developed by Raphael Marks as a backup/failsafe to a possibility if Mother Sphere went crazy and did what she did in the game. Not really sure about this yet thought because if it was created by him, then it's kinda weird that Mother Sphere is the one creating Angels with one Angel per wave having the ability to implement the EVE protocol.
      Not sure if you're a Halo buff, but if you are, think of the Cole Protocol as this was a failsafe for the UNSC to delete all records of Earth if the Covenant ever got ahold of one of their ships.

    Fantastic video as always!
    You have clarified the status of biological human integration with technology for me. I very much knew Mother Sphere lied on a number of things, but now I know she lied about everything.
    I know it's not really part of the theme of this video, but the other fascinating thing is the nature of Andro-Eidos. Yes, everyone left on earth except for Adam is an Andro-Eidos. But they all are not of the same generation, like Enya demonstrated. She's part of the first gen and is entirely mechanical. The later generations are fusion of biological tissue with cybernetic parts. Interestingly, there's no human DNA in their biology. Why is it the case?
    Interesting fact: Raven is eve 02. The proof is on her suit. No wonder the fact she can use almost all of EVE abilities. She's the dark reflection of what would have happened if EVE had made her quest without emotional support. A fallen angel.
    On the last video I wondered how can they have siblings and children? Were they assigned to them by Mother Sphere (and then forgot), or are they able to reproduce ? There's no definitive answer, but I believe we can dig the truth. If children and siblings were assigned to other Andro-Eidos, this mean all these individuals must have been alive at least since the Final War. There is indeed a large number of people in Xion who survived the Final War. But we have no proof that's the case for all of them. For example, there's nothing that suggest that Kaya and her sister were alive in that era. Also we never visit/see a production facility for Andro-Eidos during the game. That's not a proof that they don't exist, but it cast a serious doubt on their existence. If there was any, I very much think Adam would have find an excuse to brought EVE there for obvious reasons.
    If they can reproduce, it would explain why there no human DNA in them. The process for "naturally" creating a body that fuse biology and cybernetics is entirely different from the creation of a purely biological body. They have biological functions like eating food, drink and breathe (and drown in water if they are not careful), so be able to reproduce isn't out the question for the new humanity. The rarity of children in Xion don't disprove this theory but can cast doubt on its validity. The fact that all known children are females is also strange, but can be explained by an artistic choice on the creators (of the game) part. Despite these doubts, the revelations of D1G-g2r that he observed the formation of consciousness in Xion and found no diffrences with his own and EVE experience, suggest the birth of children in Xion.
    I want to note that angels are a subspecies of Andro-Eidos, so they have differences with their cousins of the main branch. First they are all females and are obviously artificially created. They are iterations of different type of models, like the artemis and eve models. Angels too must eat and drink (they are eating nutrition bars on the colony), but at much lower frequency I think. That's it. If they breathe it just for show. And they can operate underwater or in space without special equipment. More than their cousins, angels are weapons (or supers weapons for the better combat models) masquerading as humans.

    • @unlistednaytiba
      @unlistednaytiba  3 месяца назад +2

      Yes I agree. MS and Adam (as well as all of the tech world today) have iterative approaches to what they "create" so the models progressively get better, as you mentioned.
      In terms of the lack of DNA, some of the gear and material descriptions state that technology got to the point where things were printed. I believe tissue, hair, blood, etc. are printed or perhaps grown. If you look at some of the NPC's of Xion, their "skin" looks kinda gross.. haha. Like a bad quality print. Perhaps EVE and Tachy's skin and body is more natural looking because they're the latest models.
      Yes, you did notice the EVE on her cape right? She is the EVE of that generation. I think the name Raven is because she is a fallen angel, as the fallen angels in the Book Of Enoch (religion reference incoming) had sex with human women and the human women were turned into monstrous birdlike harpies (look like ravens)
      I have thought about reproduction and children as well. I do believe they are all physically produced in tanks, but then I think there is some liberties we have to take about how they become conscious. If you look at the BIBI music video, I interpret BIBI as being Mother Sphere giving life to the andro-eidos in the tanks. She does this by touching them, so I think we just have to each interpret this in our own way.
      Yes, about the body frames, you are right. It looks like Eidos Industrial originally created only 1 body-frame (I forget what item description this was stated in), and as mother sphere continued to exist, she created different bodies.

    • @DevaChriss
      @DevaChriss 3 месяца назад +1

      @@unlistednaytiba You are right about printed material, there certainly exist convincing skins like Enya's. But I do believe Lily when she says that humans ( regular Andro-Eidos and angels) are a perfect fusion of biological tissues and cybernetics, even tough they lack human DNA. It's her job to look after members of her squadron. There's no reason for MS to lie about a vital fact like this one, and many good reasons for her to tell the truth. And after her flawless installation/synchronization of Tachy's sword (infected by nyatiba) with EVE, we have proof that Lily knows what she's talking about. There is also the example of a woman (the wife the client on the mission board) who caught the sand disease. This disease, that seems to be relatively common, make her organs harden.
      For reproduction, I think that the music video is only indicative of angels creation. I only see female bodies (wearing body suits) in the tanks. That's why for me these scenes show us where angels are produced inside the colony. I'm not against the lack of ability of self reproduction for the Andro-Eidos. Like I demonstrated in my first post, many obstacles(I didn't list them all for brievety) need to be addressed for this theory to be more credible.
      Yes I noticed the "EVE" name in front of her bodysuit. I even verified that it's there when Raven is wearing it. Yes you are absolutely right, the devs chose her name to make a biblical reference. I think that Raphael Marks got the idea to use an eve model for his plan because of Raven. Sure she was a disaster on an emotional and mental level, but I wonder what made him wait for eve 07. This is important because, we can find a message from a scavenger (EVE Protocol 4) who awaits the arrival of the 7th eve like a messiah. Did Mother Sphere dump some propaganda flyers on Earth about our eve? It's pretty clear there is communication with Earth on MS part, despite disappearance of the Network. Like the scavenger, it seems that RM had access to this information.

    Spoilers ahead, but if you're watching this video(bruh)
    How do you control a civilization?
    Brainwash and fabrication.
    Stellar Blade is a game that truly delves deep in this dynamic and the 2 main endings of the game makes it clear that MS has a single-minded approach to improve on 'humanity' at the cost of what being human means. Even the Naytibas, the original humans, in an effort to offset extinction lost their humanity to unrecognizable levels as they evolved to combat the andro-eidos. So, in the end when facing the Elder Naytiba, the question was not whether it's to fulfill the whims of MS, EVE or Adam, but rather: "What is the path humanity should take to remain human?". Taking the Elder Naytiba's hand gives a chance for humanity to be reborn or at least continue, in an ironic twist of the speech in the Hall of Records, by EVE becoming what MS envisioned without any influence from MS. Which is why in the ending where Adam and Eve fuses into Naytiba Eve, MS sphere states: "This concludes the EVE protocol", and MS sends angels to deal with the anomaly that is the fusion of Naytiba Eve that can't be influenced by MS and not in the other ending where you fight the Elder Naytiba. Even with the Elder Naytiba destroyed, MS would still single mindedly try to improve and iterate upon humanity to the point that it becomes foreign as seen in the ending where Eve returns to the colony and see a planet surrounded by mechanical rings and in the process of being constructed upon endlessly.
    So, the lore of Stellar blade is way more than I ever expected, and the game had some of the richest world-building lore and gameplay I have ever seen.
    GOTY? Possibly
    Replayable? Absolutely

      It's also worth noting that of the five Alpha Naytiba we see, the three we have any sort of origin for are Orcal, Raven, and Tachy. Given all three were Andro-Eidos, it may be that all the Alpha Naytiba are human/Andro-Eidos hybrids and possibly early attempts at whatever Eve ultimately becomes.
      This could also explain Raven's animosity towards Eve despite being aligned with Adam. She wanted to be his "chosen one" but fell short and now feels compelled to prove herself superior to Eve.

    I know this is not going to happen but I hope they give us the chance to resurrect organic humans in the DLC or sequel.

      The fact that Orcal could regain his soul, I think, is enough evidence that the Naytiba can eventually be brought back, if not original human, then at least from being feral insane beasts.

      @AICW Orcal was an android posesed by a natiba that eventually had to find a way to suppress it, right?

      I think real organic human beings are long gone - but the idea of "humanity" or being humane will be a continued theme in DLC or sequels.

      Yeah looks like it huh. In one of the item descriptions (forget which one), there was information that stated Eidos only made one type of body frame and the "trim" was differentiated based on the code programmed into it through the AI (or something like that), so I think the body frames that Eidos created (when real organic humans were still around) were all created from her image. Then there are items (again I cannot remember which ones exactly), stating that she started created ai on her own - I'm guessing she also started making the other andro-eidos body frames (her new race).
      but yes, to your comment, Kaya must be an original body frame based on MS's image.

    You know, one of the worst things about this game, is it would make a better movie than whatever the hell terminator has turned into... But since eve has a booty and it was made by Koreans, we'll just complain about her outfits at every corner instead.

      It would make great media as a movie or tv show. Maybe if it can turn into a franchise, a streamer will make it into a tv show. T2: greatest action movie of all time IMO

      haha yes. This could be a design choice from Raphael Marks based on a daughter he perhaps had. I was kinda hoping they went into more of how she was made/designed.
