- There is one particular thing we do different than most concrete companies that saves us money on every pour. Saving money is making money in this business.
It’s great to see someone who isn’t caught up in the physical fitness craze !!
LOL We are no models here.
When one of your videos pops up, I drop everything and watch them. Another beautiful job with this garage. Its a work of art.
Thanks for the support buddy. 👊💪
I say this with love and humor in my voice watching biscuit. I think he needs a name change. Buttery biscuit or Pillsbury doughboy.😂😂😂😂😂
Buttery Biscuit. LOL
Another outstanding job!
Thank you
Another good one. Money saved is money earned and the way you guys work hard is what makes for a good long lasting job. Thanks Bondo.
That is correct. 😀
Bondo, Another nice job! It's always good to save money.
What a great crew! And thanks for the camera work at the end of the pour, glad those skivvies stayed up, Biscuit!
Ya it was a close one at the end. LOL
Great work and appreciate the details you explain about the job.
What size aggregate do you mostly use?
I am right in thinking, with you having some colder weather in your area you would only steel trowel or power trowel inside work. Anything outside you would only mag float?
Thanks and all the best! 👍🏻
love how you'd rather give people work than just buy a pump. that's really cool and something we need more of. Awesome stuff as usual!
I enjoy the guys more than the pump also.
I would think that you could really benefit from an 8' chute of your own with a chain attachment so you could extend the existing chute or divert concrete to the side with it. Would save a lot of wheelbarrowing and allow you to get into some corners and other spaces much easier.
I have one but we pour the concrete at a low slump and it does not flow down the chute very good. Has to be poured with more water or water reducer chemicals.
Good Morning, from The Bronx NY. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK and ENJOY BEERTHIRTY.
Thanks Kevin. 😀
I love your excellent channel. You work so hard, you do outstanding work. I am finding that EVERYTIME i go to watch your latest video I'm unsubscribed again!....Why is that and how do i stay subscribed. You guys are a dying breed. Real men working hard everyday!. God blessed you all with a good hard working ethics and humour to see you through the hard work.
I would've put two cuts down the middle from the door corners and two more spaced equally across.
btw I saw you pull the wires 👍watching all the way over here in the UK. Good job!
Thanks for watching especially that far away. 😀
I like you got in pull the wire up in the first sentence 👏🇬🇧
Nice work brother. Where was row the mascot? 👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks !
😀
What brand sealer are you using
you are basically moving a yard of concrete in 3 wheelbarrows, that's not bad at all! I would imagine if you had some kind of a big elevation change you would want a pump at that point?
Yes big elevation or hard to access areas we would pump. A yard is 27 cubic feet and we move 24 with 3 wheel barrows.
Well, I got more than an eye full of Jason in this one. LOL. Good workers all.
Sorry for that angle Jim. LOL
Really nice.
Thanks. 😃
For this pour I would say even really cheap pump service would not justify. Business is about efficiency, efficient business have greater chance of success and not using pump, where it isn't necessary, is definitely efficient.
A little less closeup of Biscuits backside would be good!
😜😜
Heck, you coulda poured off chute from either end! screw that buggy stuff!
With the rebar not being on spacing pads, wont that drop down the bottom with the guys walking over it ... ?
There is no rebar in this slab.
I thought this was gonna be that people form with a 2x4 and level off a 2x4 but its acually only 3.5 inch thus allowing for less yards but quoted and poured at 4 inch
2X3-1/2 raised up 1/2" equals a 4 inch slab.
Yup. @@rickallen9382
Nope just our big barrels.
Speaking of labor what’s the going rate for daily concrete laborers unskilled and skilled?
Depends on the job for me.
I was wondering how THE Bondo was surviving the winter. Stay healthy.
I have a piggy bank. LOL
I miss the "Here Comes the Mud "music 🎶 🎼🎶🕺🏿👍
Some loved it and some hated it. I thought it was cool. LOL
LOL when you said "there is a little hole back here" and you were zooming into Biscuits crack I thought you were looking to flash us. Get that guy a pair of Bondo Shorts to advertise. That guy with the red bandana is real strong for his age and appears to be a swell guy that can carry a fridge on his back up stairs or rebuild anything without a cell phone or computer.
Thats Chris and he used to play semi pro football LOL Yes he is a strong SOB and a great guy.
How thick is this slab. Is there a specific reason for the thickness?
We pour our barns at 5-1/2 to 6 " if they will be driving equipment and cars in there.
A good crew needs a good foremen, Bondo leads by example thats why the jobs are always professionally installed and finished. Nice job!
Thanks Russel. 😀
The Biscuit is the man!
Yes he is. 😀
Thank you
Big biscuit
How did he get the nickname Biscuit?
Question: Not trying to be rude or anything, why would you spray foam the walls but not do a radiant floor. Seems backwards to me.
He heats it with a wood stove so does not want in floor heat.
Another Beauty or as we’d say in Wisconsin(yes… I’m an old Cheesehead)…. It’s finer than frogs hair. Don’t pumps require smaller stone?
Uncle Jim I like the frog hair one. LOL You can pump 5/8 stone. They usually pour it wetter in a small line pump.
Big biscuit 💪💪👍💯
👊💪💪
4000psi concrete? Is that with or without proper curing?
After it cures.
1:12 One wheelbarrow hold 8 cubic feet of concrete? At 150 pounds a cubic foot that's 1200 pounds of concrete in one wheelbarrow.
They are the 8 cubic foot ones. You can get a 6 if its to heavy for your guys.
91 👍's up BB thank you for sharing 😅
You bet. 😀
I don't understand why you don't buy your own cement truck. Just wanted to give you some good ideas in-between Bud Lights.
Then I would have to hire a driver. Bud Light? Try miller light it won't leave that funny taste when you drink it. LOL
I would think that jobs that required pumps would cost the customer more. but you make it sound like they are already paying for the pumps.
I sometimes get the job mostly based on cost. So we save customer money and get the job.
Looking out for the customer….kudos!
Do you guys cut this slab?
Ok
You know anyone good in Albany, NY that can pour concrete?
Sorry I do not.
No worries man. Thanks for all the great videos!
do the extra guys work for another company?
I have some guys that help me part time when we need them.
Shoot. I forgot, how’s the shoulder?
Getting stronger but definitely not 100% yet uncle Jim. 😀
How many yards did you pour last ?
Last year?
@@bondobuilt386 ya just curious
@@robertlibby3557 over 1400 yards.
You guys don't broom it to make it non slippery.
Not in a garage. Hard troweled so it can be swept.
Hire big biscuit save $$$$$$$$
Yupper 😀
2 things about concrete, it WILL be expensive and it WILL crack.
Nobody will steal it.
@@bondobuilt386 …very true lol
Wire Watchers, hahahaha
Yup. LOL
ha u should of been childish and pulled his shorts down 😂
bad why you not lift re bars up no good on plactic in see 1 man lift one bit should have hat spacer in and buy fat man belt as his wallet to full pull pants down
Robert the wire watcher. Look closer my wire watching friend and you will not only see Biscuits boxers but us pull the crap out of that wire.
Awful nice video
Thank you. 😀
