Weird insulation detail? Or just a smart idea?

- We poured this garage floor for a repeat customer and they spray foamed under the floor and inside the concrete blocks. I never seen anyone spray foam the cells of the blocks like that but what a good idea. They also spray foamed the floor inside ther crawl space instead of pouring a concrete floor saving a bunch of money.
Buckle your seat belts we got an hour long one, salute bondo
Thanks Bobby 😃
I know this might sound pathetic & make me seem like a sad old (-ish lol) git, but I genuinely get excited when I see a new Bondo Built video.
Thanks Ron (& crew), you keep me entertained more than you can imagine 👍
No that just makes you seem awesome in my book Thanks for watching and the comment.
Another great job Bondo! I always enjoy watching your work. That bleed water headed towards the drain just shows perfectly how it’s supposed to work.
And I never get tired of seeing Rowen and Teddy Bear. But didn’t you get another pup a while back?
Anyway thanks for the videos, there’s always something to see.
🤙
Thanks for the comment and the new pup was teddy bear. Yes those drains work awesome.
Interesting crawl space. Spray foam better than a dirt floor I guess but does form a vapor barrier. Garage floor looks great. You have the best crew including delivery drivers.
I'm amazed at how flat the spray foam came out but another great job from biscuit he's really the king of concrete
These spray foam guys are top notch and so is big B.
Your buddy Roe enjoys your company and vice versa. Your detail to your work is impressive, reflection of your professional abilities. Have a good season.
thanks Russell
You have a fine crew. The slab has a nice finish. I do not miss pouring mud. I just watch you do the work now.
Big B is shedding the pounds now !!
ya he is.
Learn so much from watching your videos thank you for posting
your welcome 😊
Hard working men, I have respect for you all. I’m female and love to watch the process❤️
I'm glad Chris and Mike are finally getting this concrete stuff figured out. It's only been about 18 years for them.
Watching this video i was wondering why you left a bare spot in the first bay you poured. Then i realized the "spot" was just the sun shining in the window on finished concrete .... Time for more coffee🤣
sounds like me before my coffee. lol
Nice Job Bondo my x brother in law run a concrete pump for a living as you know there isn’t any easy work when it comes to concrete as i was with him when he done some large jobs like retail building unbelievable amount of mud!!! .. work hard and play harder was there motto!!! I really like the spray foam idea sealed nice no need for plastic.
Thanks and I do like spray foam as well.
Great as always, I really learn a lot on how it's done.
Great Work!!
Hey Bondo. Gotta love CNY weather in April. Hopefully we’ll have a decent Summer ahead. Great work by you guys as always.
Thanks and yup we get the rain in spring. lol
Do you install screens on you drain pipes .(critter proof). From Florida great video.
We do sometimes put a slotted cap on the end
Beautiful job! Would be a dream garage for me
yup nice garage for sure.
Great seeing how different regions around the country sometimes have a lot of stone aggregate like your region seems to have. The south and southwest have a lot of sand and seem to be weaker and tend to crack easier but I bet your area and concrete pours hold up much better and take some heavy weight post cure.
2 really cool things. 1. I could actually see the pitch in the floor towards the drain. 2. your crew is a tight unit; no arguing (unless edited out?), and dudes skylz are mad! Y'all been together for a minute, no? My bad. 3rd thing-you know how to lay out dude. Obviously been riding in the mud rodeo for years. Be blessed y'all! Jesus Rules!
another great night in St. Louis, big bowl of cream of wheat, a little sugar,butter, cinnamon, hot coffee and a Bondo flick !!! thanks for posting Bondo!! { by the way, i like my cream of wheat about a 6 slump}
You make it look so easy (obviously not, but wow). MASTERFUL. Biscuit lookin' slimmer! Good job Biscuit!!
Thanks we are starting to figure this concrete thing out. LOL😀
Biscuit is looking good , keep it up !!
Nice job fella's.
thanks
115 👍's up BB thank you for sharing 🤗
5/7/24..large damage floor pour on top of: well compacted your #4 small gravel w/ fines + 2part Foam insulation, not visqueen! Owners of house in spray Foam insulation business so I assume Foam is Closed Cell Polyisocyanurate= no air or moisture flow thru it. Then Radiant red tubing stapled to Foam, then your reinforcing wire mesh...then..finally...5+" of The Mud ! Much enjoy all your videos & especially your comments which educate all viewers. That is a great attitude,✅️ like it! Stay safe BB...👍💪😊🍺🍺
Nice work boys& ROW .👍🏻🇺🇸🐶
Looks like they did a really nice job with that spray insulation, most of the jobs I see with it under the slab it's been up & down all over the place which means the underfloor heating pipes vary in depth in the slab as well & makes it a nightmare to get the concrete measure accurate also.
No these guys can spray it nice and flat.
@@bondobuilt386 It has to be flat though doesnt it, that's the proper way to do it & for it to do it's job properly like pipes flat & even depth & even thickness of concrete so no balance loads LOL
@@WombleUK Honestly the heat would work fine if foam was not flat.
The man has earned the right to be called 'Just Biscuit'
At my house here in Missouri when they ran the downspouts down and under the ground they used the thin wall pvc pipes and I can see where they come out they are breaking. Idiots!
Better out than in i always say
yup. lol. 🤣
They may be sorry they didn’t take your advice about the floor, it would lock that foundation together, it doesn’t look like it’s deep enough to avoid frost push, at least from this perspective. Why did they not opt for a deep basement? That’s an expensive home, the money for the deep basement, would have been well spent.
If Big Biscuit keeps shedding LBs, he's going to need a new nickname. 😉 Keep it up, Jason!
Great close, "That's The Way We Do It."
thanks. 😊
biscit needs his own weight loss channel .
I will tell him that. 😊
What is the water/cement ratio for that beautiful mix, Mr Bondo?
The choreography is tight..the symphony was smooth and the finale was choppy..
Thats ALL RIGHT.!
At about 8:10 what in the world is that upside down p-trap? Just a fitting they had on hand to keep debris out of the line maybe.
How come you don’t burn them off and then put silica sand in your sealer by the way, good work
Medium Biscuit!
Kind of curious how the water drains from one end to the other when u have 5 of the same drain putting them together? The Governor
Bondo I think that house floor has had enough water on it
Biscuit is looking gr8
*Chris
Why doesn't Teddy Bear ride with you on the jobs?
That bathroom is going to be HOT.

You n ur Crew Seem like Stand Up Guys. Keep Up the Good Work 🤙🔥🇺🇸
Feature the biscuit eater, Kid has some draw,
Is this 5.5” of concrete over the insulation tubes ?
This is why you hire a professional. They know all about the pesky details.
Issue: There seems to be a shortage of honest professionals, these days.
I guess the foam will compress a little under the weight of the concrete?
no it won't
You should get a flag or a sign made to go on your pylon that says bondo builds (the mud come here) 😂
Great idea
Curious... saw cuts after spray sealing? I'd think you would want sealer on the cuts as well as the main surface. ??
Sealing first assures that the sealant gets good adhesion on the floor's surface. If you cut first you'll leave a film of concrete dust over the floor resulting in the sealant not making a good bond on the floor.
Why not use foam panels instead of spray foam? Created in a factory with no human error and already level.
My thought as well.
Is bondo How thick is the insulation they sprayed?
It does not look like it's too thick. What is the r value on that compared 4" of styrofoam Board, Thank you for the video
It is 2" thick of closed cell. It is more than enough insulation for any climate zone.

Good morning
Look s great but that new roof leak what the hell? Robbie has gotta work on his tone and depth. Sauerkraut beans and eggs for breffus dude.
Wire mesh blah blah blah. :) Who says Bondo is always on the camera not working.
Why do you call your Kabota Kevin?
very entertaining video. Now if you could just convince your crew to show a little more personality LOL
I'm taking this comment personally if that helps 😜
@@ReganServicesInc You gotta step it up Chris. LOL
Do you do any work
You must not have watched much of my videos? lol 😂
@bondobuilt386 I watched all and some others you talk and play with dogs. I watched when you were over weight and others
@@RANDYSMITHOU812 Thanks for the comment Randy Smith. I certainly do not need to argue my work ethic with anyone. If you knew anything about me you will feel stupid saying I do not work. LOL
