I love how the pool just looks like it belongs there with the deck and landscaping it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb like many above ground pools tend to appear and it seems bit safer too with more areas to go in and out aside from the ladder and a fun jumping spot

Andrea you are so amazing. I'm such a fan of young women who can do anything.. I'm a 72 year old woman living in Idaho and just wishing I had learned a trade in my young years. Dean is so fun to watch and his sense of humor is just great. Hope your family is happy all the days of your lives.

You should add some solar lights for the cap tops of your posts at the top of the deck and I’m sure you will seal or stain seal the wood in about 3 months or so. So, you could also build a cool swing to swing over the water. The kids would love that too, Andrea would love that, so would Dean come to think of it! Hahaha

I enjoy watching your videos so much. Everything from the way your trips to lowes, the way you think through each project, how you tackle anything that comes up and even Dean’s sweet little goofy antics and his obvious pride in his DIY wife. Such a lovely and loving family. Hopefully other young families are seeing it is possible to tackle projects together with love, appreciation, kindness and appreciation for the not just strengths
they each have but their limitations as well!

Everything looks great! I truly enjoy watching you both every Friday. I was just telling my mom and sister that my dad would have really enjoyed watching you Andrea. He was a construction worker and alot of the things you do remind me of him and some of his projects. Enjoy the pool guys!

we built a vary similar deck but we extended it further were you have the ladder and we put a ladder onto the deck for them to get on the deck and jump off! Girl you totally killed this project.
Just put the post in the hole. Get it plumb with a stake and scrap 2x4 and a few screws. Pure in the bag around it. Then add the water. use a spare stake to mixt it. Works way easier and just as good as mixing the in the tub unless you rented a mixer.
I had absolutely no desire to learn about putting in an above ground pool or deck, but you two crack me up, so I had to watch. 🤣🤣

The pool and deck turned out great! The landscaping helps the pool to blend in and the deck is just right for lounging and jumping!😂 Another wonderful build and will give your family hours of joy. At our shore house we had an above ground pool…and the ducks thought it was their own personal pond. Good luck dealing with them! 🦆🦆🦆

I would put some solar lights on the post caps and stake lights in the flower bed. Great job!!!
This looks fabulous. Only thing I’d point out though is the deck flooring should have space between the boards to allow for seasonal wood expansion. It also allows water to drain off and makes sweeping easier.

You are so lucky you don't live in New Zealand. Because here you have to fence the pool so kids can't accidentally fall in. There is a standard it has to be built to.

Wow what an amazing deck and pool...And the kids are Super excited And enjoying the pool Soo much....Just a quick Too which is important...When I owned a pool the fire marshal Stopped by and made SURE we Had a Spring Out close type Gate ..as He Mentioned that Cuts liability down from Small neighborhood children ..so Maybe put a self closing spring on the gate and a padlock...Hope this tip helps someone 🥰🙏❤️... I had an above ground pool. I purchased the vacuum for the bottom, salt water system and a Little Tykes playhouse to protect everything from the weather. It was relatively self sufficient. I really didn’t have to do anything for maintenance

Andrea you’re so talented. How do you know how to build a deck? I get researching how to flip furniture and I believe you said you went to college for design and if I mistaking you obviously just have that talent. Anyway, building a deck is a safety issue and major construction in my mind. How???? You never cease to amaze! What can’t you do? Have four children, look amazing after and build and decorate including landscape their home and their friends homes😮so impressive.
