As for communication skills I learn whole sentences saying them aloud. 5 days - 300 repetitions per day at least. Later I don't need to translate. I know the meaning of words straight away like in my native language. And also I remember the meaning longer than by learning separate words. This method is called: chunking. It was a real game changer in my learning process in English and other languages.😊
That is really good!! I have not heard of the method before ☺️ I also struggle learning separate words, as I have nothing to latch them onto. I sometimes struggle finding time to put extended periods of time into language learning, but I always think that putting in 5 days of straight focus probably already brings you super far. Thanks for sharing ❤️

I'm English (naive). I'm 60. A couple of days ago, I learned a new word *overmorrow* - it means _the day after tomorrow_ there are 600,000 words in English - I certainly don't know them al!!!!
Wow 🤩 I never knew this word existed in English. In German however we do use “Übermorgen” for the day after tomorrow which refers to the the same as overtomorrow (over=über, tomorrow = morgen)!
I'm Russian and have been studying English for almost three decades alone and still struggle with understanding. As for Russian, it was only when I was twenty that I stopped seeing new Russian words.
i've been learning english since i was a teen but i could never find a native person to improve my speaking because once you learn all the grammar you want to challenge yourself but it's so hard to remember all the words or expressions you learned so far without having them used with a native who corrects your mistakes while you speak or for the fact you can't talk english in your every day life and so this implies you to forget all the things you learned. i'm grateful i've found your video it was useful and you explained anything so good! :)

Hi Martin, thanks for sharing 🤩 Yeah I feel the same with Italian! I learned it for 6 years at school and was pretty fluent after that. Unfortunately now I do not speak it often. Hi there, you are a beautiful girl and your English is great. Well done, great job. I am billing, I speak two languages fluently. My first language is Russian, 🇷🇺and I learned English myself and I know a lot of idioms, slang, different proverbs and abbreviations. In this case, if I don’t speak enough English every day I can easily become depressed. I don’t have so many people who would speak English with me, but I talk to myself a lot and I also speak English with my mom, I can very seldom speak Russian with her and thanks to me she could improve her English. I would say that I was a self teacher, so it was the only way to achieve my goal because in this damn school they don’t teach you English and I think that all these private lessons with tutors are waste of time and you learn nothing. If someone wants to learn a new language, it is better to learn it independently and do it seriously if it is important. I know learning a new language is indeed difficult because it’s not your first language when you already speak it, but when you do it right then you can expect the result of your hard work. Nothing can be achieved without motivation and perseverance. It is important to remember that everything is possible as long as you want it so much.
