Nice. As a language teacher, your advice is definitely consistent with what we have learned about effective language learning.
Yep, completely agree! It might look like crazy but this really works! Because this is a long language trip even during all life and it should engage activities that you like. Especially emotional things like repeating some phrases with emotion native.

Hi! I really like your advice on language learning. It’s especially true that watching videos without subtitles can make a huge difference in one’s progress. I experienced that with videos in Spanish. Definitely, I’ll apply your tips to my Spanish studies!
I'm also learning spanish but can't find videos with a medium difficulty level, do you have any recommendations for me?
@@jemand8462 You could try Spanish versions of RUclips channels like MrBeast Español, MrBeast Gaming en Español, Nas Daily Español, and Dude Perfect Español. I also recommend a Latin American RUclipsr, Luisito Comunica, as his channel has Spanish subtitles (although I’m not sure if his videos also offer English subtitles). There are also RUclips channels about learning Spanish that are in Spanish, like Hola Spanish and StoryLearning Spanish.
Now, I’ll be honest. I rented Olly Richards’ basic and intermediate Spanish audiobooks from my library before I started watching RUclips videos in Spanish again. (My story with Spanish is very nonlinear.) So I recommend audiobooks along with RUclips videos for listening skills.

Great tips! One of the ways that really works for me is listening to podcasts while I'm washing the dishes, haha. I love learning English by listening to podcasts and RUclips videos, and reading newsletters, such as Morning Brew and New York Times. That's what really works for me in a fun way!

As a language teacher who's currently working on implementing those kind of 'natural approach' activities and techniques into my classroom, do you try to actively 'study' grammar as well or is it something that's in the background, while you focus on vocabulary, expressions etc? For a person who's experienced mostly traditional school-like language learning, I wonder whether it'd be possible not to worry about grammar and just let it emerge naturally through reading and talking.
Also, if you were to attend a language school that taught the language through conversations, reading and immersing in the language in general, instead of textbooks, what kind of activities do you think would supplement your home learning the most?
