I have the same problem with speaking and writing in English. When i was in school i didn't learn English grammar well, so now i don't know if I'm making mistakes in grammar. Honestly, i write and speak by "formula" or how can i explain it? I'm not thinking about grammar rules and just write and speak how i heard it in films and videos. So my main problem is that even right now i don't know if I'm making a mistake. I want to improve these skills, and be confident in my grammar. Wish a good luck to everyone of you who wants to improve their English to the highest level!

Hey there. I'm an English teacher and had success in learning other languages. You made very few and very small grammar mistakes in this comment. There's no reason for you to not feel confident in your grammar, it's all in your head. The way you're acquiring grammar through English media is exactly what you should be doing, and from reading your comment, your good results prove this. You will improve your results by engaging with more media and by using the language more ;)

The first step for me to start speaking German was to get over my fear of mistakes. Just accept that you will make lots of mistakes. German has gender for nouns - der/die/das and there's no way a foreigner will know these without lots and lots of practice. So I just guessed it. Yeah, I sounded dumb but so what. I was getting better with every conversation. But you also need to know basic grammar maybe up to upper beginner level or maybe lower intermediate level grammar. I mean you can get started with almost zero grammar but you'll feel the pain. You don't need to master the grammar just know enough to start practicing it. And then you need to know enough vocabulary words. As soon as you start trying to speak you'll start figuring out the words you want to know the most. Trying to speak and failing is the best teacher. You can go study those words you wanted to know for next time. The key really is motivation. If you are really motivated to do this you will get there.

The more you practice speaking, the easier it will be for your brain to assimilate the words. Remember, listening is important, but repeating and using the words yourself makes a big difference!

And it's my reason for learning english. This video gives me answer for my question, like "Why I can't speak and write on English?". I think, that I should don't be shy and just more practice, practice, practice. Maybe I can do mistakes, but in my opinion, it's better than doing nothing. Thank you a lot for your advices!
