I just found one used, I had no prior knowledge of it, and I have three Digitech pedals Delay Reverb and Chorus/flange. Ive never really been into the sounds the Polara delivers, the shimmer just doesnt do it for me, however, a moment of Collider's shimmer alone blew my mind.
Sounds great and I can definitely see many possibilities. Do you know of any other controller that can send an LFO-type modulation via MIDI CC? The modulated shimmer sounds pretty smooth for a CV to MIDI conversion with the usual 7 bit MIDI, although the additional delay effect makes it a bit difficult to hear details. As far as I know SA One series pedals have 7 bit MIDI (0-127).
Question: If you have a midi controller without midi clock hooked up to a Ampero II Stomp which does have midi clock, and then that Stomp hooked up to a Collider, can I use the midi clock of the Stomp to sync up with the Collider, even though my midi controller does not have midi clock?
did you run into any input level issues using line level? I have a Nord Lead 3 that needs an effect pedal...and this sounds great but concerned it might overload the pedal input stage. Anyone using a stereo synth thru this item?
You may want to share this with Source Audio themselves. Not nearly enough informative and quality videos showing this side of the Collider exist, ime. Thanks for this!
Yo, Mike. Excellent demo. You definitely journeyed into an aspect of the Collider not often explored. Love the waves of Shimmer. Thanks so much!
Cheers guys! It's such a great pedal, amazing job! -Mike
This blew my mind. It never occurred to me to modulate parameters with MIDI. Utterly brilliant!
Cheers Eric
This is awesome man! Very clever use of the MIDI feature of the Collider! Makes me want this thing so badly! 😩
🤘👍🏿 Excellent, thanks for doing a midi demo!

Guutarist here, Looking for an intro to midi contol on the collider, mind blown, crawling back into my pre midi cave

Source Audio gear handles line level signals easily, i even often use my Eurorack gear through their pedals - never had a problem
-Mike
This pedal sound like heaven indeed...

if you are in the editor software can you replace all the modes in the pedal for the ones that you want?
Is it ok to put the Collider between synths in the MIDI chain? Or it might have MIDI latency affecting the stuff connected after it?
Good question, we don't think it would have MIDI latency affecting the stuff connected after it
