    I love Eme and Hugo. I have 3 cats, and I do electronics at my bench or work on computer. They all spend time nearby. One cat of the 3 I adopted when he was 7 weeks old. For 9 years he’s been my bench buddy.
    Cats often are work helpers, and your two fluffy friends are prime examples. ❤

    Another stunning job and the steel wool trick paid off the colour looks amazing and the grain comes to life. I have a good feeling you’ll clock 100 k in the not to distant future. Your content and editing is so on point and your so therapeutic to watch its addictive

    How clever! This is a wonderful transformation and something kept out of landfill. I hope that you get a lot for it if you are going to sell it. Dave is a great guy and a superb craftsman like you. His dog Daisy is gaining celebrity status, is gorgeous and a real character who, due to public demand, has her own slot on the vlogs.

    Very nice! I really like that cabinet handle. It looks like a huge upgrade compared to the "before" picture. Jay one thing that I really like is that you sand all of the surfaces and that you condition the inside of the furniture as well. Old furniture needs that kind of protection.

    I watched this one in total amazement. I had no idea you could dissolve steel wool in vinegar and make a stain. And then watching it turn color as you were filming. That piece turned out stunning. I watch so many videos on wood working, but you, Jay at Mayfield Restorations, and Barry at madcitymodern are my favorite. Keep up the good videos.

    I like how the light plays on the grain of the wood and veneer. I love the way you manipulate the colors of the doors allowing the wood to choose the color. You are creative and gifted to see the end product from the beginning project. Amazes me every time how you see the beauty of these projects. Teaches me to look at things around me in an eye of beauty

    Love the knowledge and out of the box problem solving unconventional experiments with woodworking I’m calling you Professor Carol Flippingdrawers. I’d flip a drawer for you too.
    I was too scared to work and repair a lovely antique dresser. With the knowledge I’ve learned from only watching you since June 2024, I’m a braver woman repairing and squaring up old furniture. I’m in my late 60’s in a wheelchair feeling so empowered by watching your work. Please don’t feel weird about my flippant remark; laugh at myself, daily for all the dumb and happy accidents with art and love of renewing old and well loved and well rugged accidents. It’s so lovely to watch your work, giving your RUclips channel free advertisement to everyone I know. People love me and love you too.

    I love the surprise element of the ebonized wood. Making that dye was fascinating. The hardware is beautiful. The sharp contrast of the gold Ginko leaf pull is lovely. You always do high quality work.

    Hey Jay, that turned out beautifully as usual! In the States, I've heard that stain solution referred to as Vinegaroon or Vinegar Black Stain/Dye. It's really neat and cheap to make. I used it on different types of wood with varying colors produced based on species. It also works on veg tan leather by turning the piece black. Just thought you might want to know... Keep up the good work!

      Didn’t know the name but yes. You can also use tea on wood that doesn’t have much tannins before hand so it gives you a darker colour 😉
