Only apply to R24/R27 series though, 7M and 530D does not have a datalink unfortunately. You can still try to relock in your NATO plane but those SARH have a really hard time reaquire.
I am 90% sure, some datalinked ARH missiles have the ability to reaquire lock through locking via the plane's radar provided you have datalink channels as a radar feature. I have had this happen on the Barak II.
The new M2K FM's main strength is its ability to pull like a UFO between 800 and 550 kph. Depending on the fuel load it will give you up to 31 °/s of ITR. Ofc it's a bit niche but it's still a really nice FM overall, that also benefits from the highest practical top speed in the game.
A delta doing delta things, it should be that way. Mirage is an insane AoA fighter in real life but once you're out of juice it sucks so you gotta be careful when multiple bandits are in vicinity.
Not sure why they removed a heap of the countermeasures from the m2k5f when IRL it should have 292 but i still love this plane and its funny watching micas in 1v1s

BVR has always been interesting to me and I pretty much like this change but there's no way to justify them facing those who doesn't have fox-3 or literal gen 3, stock grind is tedious as always but just even more so, the game itself needs change, and gaijin refuse to do so
I have had a shitty experience at first trying to use the mica as a regulat fox 3 missile for bvr. The i tried going fast at medium/low alt, and using the micas as high off bore sight ir missiles basically, and the micas are just amazing at that. Using that play method, the mirage felt absolutely brutal, being able to lob off micas at absurd angles already in a notch at very close range
BVR is qutie hard for the community because they would actually have to learn something for once in their life. Quite "engaging" gameplay of Fox -3 and turning out Edit: Added the "" just so the sarcasm comes across better lmao.
At risk of being called a boring no skill larper, I actually enjoy the gameplay. However there is a massive asterisk on that statement. The most fun I had was in a 12v12 lobby on EC maps. People spread out, the small player count made it easier to maintain SA, prolong fights, and generally provide more methodical thinking than the old hug the ground ir slinging matches which I couldn’t play unless on 3 lines of coke. Merges still happened as well though less often. HOWEVER, the regular 16v16 matches and operation sized maps with one airfield on each side SUCKS. It’s boring, stale, and uninteresting. Each team just slams into each other with no room to maneuver and SA is impossible to maintain sometimes. Gaijin in their infinite wisdom needs to fix the stock grind and lower the player count. Furthermore, I personally don’t understand the need for top tier jets to play like the other top tier brackets. Usually I play props for more “skilled” gameplay and top tier for a different experience. Eras change but hey that’s just my opinion. Doubt anyone gives a shit but me but oh well. Also sadge that the mica and r77 kinda mid.

Ive been waiting for you to make a mirage video. Its been one of my favorite planes after grinding the us and russian air trees. Sucks at long range but goddamn does it do well within 15km.
Thank god you also struggled with it. I thought I was going insane, I loved the 5F when it was the top dog for france, I managed to beat almost anyone, and when I got my Micas yesterday and tried it out all I could think was "damn am I rusty at this fucking game" but hearing that the MICAs have terrible range makes me feel just a bit better.
for me it did not make it worse, look at this gameplay, this is actual BVR, its more close to what real fights might be, you had everyone sitting on the deck and engaging at no more than 10km before. Now you can fly higher, and apply consistently actual tactics to defeat this missiles. Only bad thing to get rid of rn is the 16v16
IMO it has gotten a lot better and especially more balanced - of course there are certain pros and cons to the individual missiles themselves but in comparison to the R27ER/IRCCM meta we had before it feels like much more strats and planes are viable now.
BVR is pretty fun, mostly because of the novelty of it. I really didn’t get it for a day or two, but it was because I was stuck on the old meta mindset. After watching a couple of your vids I literally got it first try, and I’m not even that good at ARB

Most people in top tier do not know how to bvr. And its far harder than it looks. For the aim54 you still need to maintain visual lock till its close enough for bulldog which more often results in you getting shot down. So u need to launch and maneuver while maintaining lock in tws. 90% of the time i still dont get a kill and catch someone from below looking up while im focusing on bvr. It adds a whole new layer of gameplay than before. People trying to shit on it but its just a skill issue for them.
Whats the technique you use for chaffing? When I'm notching a missile I just continually chaff about 1 pop per second and it takes me quite a bit longer and quite a bit more pops before the missile is defeated.
I love this new gameplay META. The game feels way more balanced than it did when the R-60 was first added or when the F-14 was added. Everyone (except Germany, sort of) is competitive in some way, and there’s WAY LESS massive furballs in the center of the map at low altitude. I’m getting way more uninterrupted 1v1s outside the center of the map, and there’s just more strategy and patience involved with BVR. It’s hilarious to see Reddit completely outraged about this update before even understanding how any of this stuff works… they always are
To some people I suppose. I enjoy it due to the modern tech cool factor. While I agree they need to revamp the game modes for ARB TT, I don’t see how else you would implement modern jets in a game without “point and click” that everyone complains about.

Gotta disagree with you on the MICAs. They are by far the best dogfight missiles in game. Their range is definitely worse than the other FOX-3's but you can reliably get kills at 25km which is more than enough with proper positioning

You don’t do bvr then. The micas have to worst energy retention of all fox 3s. Can’t hit a target past 40km at altitude

Hard locking the active radar missiles makes them much harder to notch and resistant to chaff.
I have used the 120s and the derby’s and I feel like the derby’s are crazy good, maybe I’m crazy, that’s just been my experience .
